One wild night, no strings attached…just one night, no rules, no plans, no expectations or obligations…just one night of unbearable passion and complete surrender…and that’s it… Losing everything that she worked for, seeing her marriage and life fall apart, feeling insecure and devastated forces our strong heroine to do something rather unusual for her. She decides to pull herself together, put some lipstick and pour herself a drink…Lots of alcohol and a sexy-as-sin cowboy, who manages to fulfill her every naughty fantasy…a perfect cure for her broken heart…Months go by, but the memory of that passionate night is still engraved into every inch of their bodies. The plan was simple, yet the connection is stronger, the hot night resulted in a nice surprise…. Maybe the idea of the cowboy and secret baby is not really original and unusual, but honestly I couldn’t care less. The book was so sweet and emotional with just perfect amount of angst and drama to keep me interested from the start to finish. The characters were so believable and multilayered, which made the book even more enjoyable. Tristan is a really swoon-worthy hero, one who will charm you from the first moment he is introduced in the book. Loyal and devoted to his beliefs, Hazel and his family. Hazel on the other hand is a woman who is insecure and vulnerable, a woman emotionally abused by her ex-husband. She’s afraid to love and trust again, yet strong enough to fight her own demons and fall under Tristan’s spell. I actually wonder how she lasted for so long. Tristan was absolutely irresistible in his attempts to win her heart. And the chemistry between them is OMG…simply electric. Since this is part of a series, I felt that some backstory and details were missing regarding the Ryker family, which were absolutely adorable and perfectly incorporated into the book. If you’re looking for a book that will fulfill all your cowboy fantasies and more, than this is a perfect choice for you. Filled with emotion, sweet and funny moments and enough chemistry to ignite the pages, this book will consume you from beginning to end.

There is just something special about a Kim Loraine cowboy romance and it is not something I expected to fall in love with, but here I am on book three. How many times can this writer make me swoon, sigh, and fall in love with a family? Oh let me count the ways!

I was lucky to have an advance audio copy of Ridden Hard, the Tristan Ryker romance this week and it was everything I did not know I wanted in a book. Suzi does not do pregnancy books, but gawd this story was perfectly written! Hazel is the heroine that I continuously identified with throughout the entire plot. Especially how was Hazel, a strong, independent woman going to deal with a set in his ways cowboy let alone telling him there was an unexpected baby on the way? PERFECTLY! To the point I didn’t want to stop listening to this fabulous tale.

But seriously…if you are going to end up with a baby, a Ryker man is just the right one! I loved how Kim wrote Tristan’s point of view with so much feeling from lust, to apprehension, to falling for the woman of his dreams. How he narrated through the emotions of the experience was just fantastic.

Speaking of narration, Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock came back into the third book of the series and kept the voices so fresh! Hazel had her own voice that was distinct from the previous characters we had met, including Penny and Momma, all the while feeling comfortable with the cast we love. Stellar from Stella is what I’m expecting each time and she delivers again. Then there is the one and only Aaron Shedlock; he was meant to be a cowboy, a ranch hand, a Montana cattle man. The emotion in his voice during one of the scenes just broke me down crying and the lust later had me believing in the love Tristan had for Hazel. A fantastic experience listening to both narrators bring the story to life and makes me want to put the Ryker series on the repeat shelf.

Another day at the Ryker Ranch is just what the doctor ordered, and I never want this series to end.

When you are known for being a cowboy manwhore and you are given a chance for a one night stand, how can you say no.

In this third book in the Ryker Ranch Collection, we find Tristan having to get away from all the craziness of the show. He's with Sam, his brother, to blow off some steam. When a beautiful woman, Hazel, offers to have a no-strings attached one nightstand, he is all for it. Well a few months later Tristan gets the surprise of his life. How will the Tristan react to the news? Can he convince Hazel that she should stay with him at the ranch? He admits to her that she has been on his mind since their night together. When there is an emergency, what will the two of them do? Is Hazel the one for him or is Tristan just going to be a baby daddy?

Hazel is a beautiful woman that has just divorced her cheating husband. Her sister takes her out for a night of fun. They walk into a cowboy bar and are looking for fun. When a handsome and hunky cowboy approaches her will she make the move? Hazel propositions the cowboy, Tristan, and she has an amazing night. No names were exchanged or or information which could be a problem. When Hazel finds herself pregnant and finds out who Tristan is she wants to let him know. When she arrives at the ranch, she surprises the whole family. Tristan remembers her which surprises her. Can Hazel walk away from him and raise the baby on her own? When Tristan wants her to stay, will she be able to open her heart to love? Is ranch life really for her?

Kim gives up another fantastic cowboy romance that is well written. The love-hate relationship plus the chemistry between Hazel and Tristan is terrific. I'm excited for Sam's story which is the next installment in the collection.

Hazel has been burnt by love in the past and she still has the emotional scars to prove it. Against her better judgment she is convinced to put all her troubles aside for one evening and who better than a sexy cowboy to share it with. She left before they exchanged contact info and she never expected to see him again until she found out they made more than a memory that night.

Tristan is a man who has earned his reputation when it comes to the ladies, but it was more a matter of not meeting the right woman. He knew that Hazel was special so even though she disappeared from his life he still remembers every minute of their evening together. When destiny brings her back into his life, he isn’t about to let her go a second time.

Tristan was patient and understanding as he showed Hazel by word and deed that she could trust him as her past had made her cautious.

Ridden Hard is a story about passion, one night of pure heat, steam with no strings, no surnames but what happens when all care and attention still leave you with an unexpected surprise. Hazel tracks down her cowboy with no expectations from him but Tristan wants it all. It takes determination and commitment from Tristan to show Hazel that they are meant to be. Their story will make you swoon, have you falling in love and so captivated by their story that there will be no time to put this one down. This is a story about love, strength, family and will have you feeling every ounce of the intensity between these two. Ridden Hard will grab you by the reigns and have you hanging on tight as these two saddle up for an angsty emotional ride.

RIDDEN HARD is the third interconnected standalone in the Riker Ranch Series. This book centers around Tristan Riker. Despite having quite the reputation, the moment Hazel enters the picture everything changes. Even if he doesn’t quite know it yet. This is a surprise baby romance (one of my favorite tropes ever!) and watching Tristan fall for his baby and baby mama was beyond satisfying! Just like the rest of the Riker men, Tristan loves hard and fast and it was so great to see.

Kim Loraine delivers a romance with all the feels, a family you can’t help, but love, and a hero so delicious he will leave you in a puddle of swoon.

Save a horse ride a cowboy.

My third book in this series. I loved it. I Can't tell you how much I have loved reading about the Ryker boys. Each one of them finding their perfect girl and falling head over spurs in love.

Tristan is the play boy of the bunch, he's also the least you would expect to fall in love so quickly given his reputation but when Hazel turns up with a surprise baby bump he's so done for. She's the one woman he's had a one night stand with and couldn't get her out of his head. Fate played a part in bringing them back together.

Swoon worthy hero. Likeable heroine and a happy ending what more can you ask for.

I would have liked this story more in depth. In one chapter Tristan asks Hazel to marry him, the next chapter it's months later around the Christmas tree and they are married already. What was the wedding like?
Anyway despite each story skirting over the surface I highly recommend this series.

Each book can be read as a standalone or in the box set also available in audio. The audio version will make you swoon so hard.

I had such high hopes for this book, Tristan was one of my favourite of the siblings and I wanted to see him fall hard. He does just not in the way that I thought. I’m not sure that I am a fan of the love that seems to be the theme.

Hazels an interesting character she’s getting over the divorce and find herself in a predicament and needs to find Tristan and see where the chips fall. I like that mama takes her under her wing and they need each other that was an interesting dynamic I wasn’t expecting that really enjoyed.

I can the narration is awesome I just wish the female narrator would give a little bit of a distinction between all the different female voices that would be really great because each character kind of deserves their own voice.

This was my favourite from the series so far. I love a pregnancy trope and throw in a cowboy and found family and I am a goner.

Kim Loraine has mastered the short and sweet romance. I devoured this book. I chose to listen to the audio at the same time as reading the kindle version and it was utter perfection.

Stella Hunter (Kim Loraine) and Aaron Shedlock were fantastic together - as they have been in other audios *shoutout The Reason I Married Him*

These books are just fantastic and the fact the next book is MM has me sweating in anticipation!

Such a sweet story with low levels of angst. A pregnancy from one night of fun, with both parents making a clear decision to co-parent and be there for their child which was lovely to read. But this is a romance y'all so it's all about the happy endings.

He wants the right girl but won’t stop sleeping with anything that moves? Wow, what an amazing hero! How will he ever find that if he is sleeping around? Certainly not on beds he has been. Ugh! Why authors do that?

When Hazel finds her hot night with a gorgeous cowboy has had unintended consequences, she knows she has to let him know. Unfortunately they agreed to no last names. So how's she to find him? Thank God for his family reality show. When she shows up at his family's ranch, will he step up and take responsibility or will she walk away and do it on her own?

Hazel knows better than to get all caught up in Tristan. She already lived through one man's empty promises, she's not about to let her heart get broken again. She and Tristan can coparent and that's it. No thinking of forever together, no allowing herself to be folded into his loving family...

Ridden Hard is a relatively low angst, sweet and very sexy second chance story. I loved Tristan and Hazel together, how she insisted on keeping herself distant from him and his very hot way of convincing her how he felt about her. I haven't read Kim Loraine before, but have decided that I will be reading a lot more by her now because Ridden Hard is fabulous.

Kim Loraine has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Hazel and Tristan. Hazel has just gotten divorced and is down in the dumps. Her sister Erin is tired of seeing her sister this way so she tells Hazel they are going out. Erin takes her to a bar and this is where she meets Tristan. Tristan has come to see his brother Sam who is a bull rider champion. Hazel and Tristan hit it off and have a one night stand and they only give their first names. A few weeks later, Hazel finds out she is pregnant. She has been looking for Tristan but no luck in finding him. Erin and Hazel are watching TV and Hazel all of a sudden sees Tristan on the show Saddle up. Erin calls to reserve a cabin for her and Hazel so that Hazel can go and tell Tristan about the baby. At first, Tristan puts his foot in his mouth and makes Hazel mad. Tristan has thought about Hazel the whole time they have been apart. He wants her to stay and for them to get to know each other but Hazel has been hurt before and is not too sure about Tristan. She thinks he is nothing but a playboy out with a different lady every weekend and she doesn't want to be hurt again. The more time Hazel and Tristan spend together the more her feelings for him change. They are getting along and all of a sudden they aren't. Buck, Tristan's brother calls him and tells him to get home. Hazel is packing to go home. When Tristan gets home, he asks "What's wrong? What did I do wrong?" She tells him that he lied to her, he had told her that he had not been with anyone else since they had been together and she shows him a picture of him with 3 women and one of them has straddled his legs and she was topless. He tells her that nothing happened but she doesn't believe him and tells him he can pick up his car at the rental place. When she gets into the car, it won't start. Tristan tells her that he will take her home if she wants to go. It is a six-hour drive and Tristan thinks he can explain things to Hazel about the pictures.
Can Tristan explain things to Hazel and have her believe him? Can he prove to her that he would not treat her the way her ex-husband did?
Can Hazel let go of the past and let Tristan in her heart?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been on a surprise baby kick and a cowboy kick, which is what led me to pick up this book.

Something I liked:
- The discussion within the story of her being an Nurse practitioner in between jobs in a small town in need of a medical professional (very Virgin River or Heart of Dixie).

Something I didn't like:
- This had the potential to bolster the story, however it fell flat for me. She stayed to take care of Mama after her heart attack which allowed for her and Tristen to explore their relationship more. However the story line didn't develop more around her skills the way I was expecting given the mention of her medical background and the need within the town.

Something I liked:
-The wholesomeness of a small town country family. I loved the family dynamic and support they gave one another, plus who doesn't love when you can read the southern twang into the dialogue? It's lovely.

Something I didn't like:
- I felt their relationship development was FLAT. There was not enough time on the page between the two of them before they were falling in love and getting married. I felt like it went from infatuation to "I'm too old for you and broken because of my divorce" to "I love you so much let's get married" VERY QUICKLY. I would have liked to see more character development between these things.

Something I liked:
- I loved the fact that they are stars of a reality TV show. This was a unique mention and I think is a fun spin to the story.

Something I didn't like:
- I felt like the stakes were never really high. There was a brief moment of tension but they got past it pretty quickly.

Overall it was a fun read. I did read this story out of order from some of the other storylines because of what I was feeling like reading in the moment. I did not feel lost at all throughout despite this- which is good. You could read this book alone or in the order of each character.

Tropes:
- Pregnancy (main trope)
- She's older and divorced
- Reality TV stars
- #Ranchlife
- Small Town
- Health concerns

Oh, Kim Loraine, you can write just about anything, and I'll enjoy it. Your Ryker Ranch cowboys are so damn swoony and so much fun, it makes this city girl want to sign up for Saddle Up, but I'd definitely make a fool of myself on a ranch, so I'll just read and listen to your cowboys a few times.

The Ryker family is definitely something special. Each member of the family is unique, and they have such strong bonds. Tristan is the youngest and randiest man of the family, and apparently the one voted most likely to have a string of little cowboys that he doesn't know about, so no one is surprised when a one-night stand shows up pregnant.

Hazel just wanted a night of no-strings fun after her life imploded, and she snuck out before Tristan could ask her for more. They both spent months dreaming about each other after their one night, and they had a much stronger connection than anyone expected. When she shows up at Ryker Ranch, Tristan feels like fate is giving him a second chance, even though Hazel is reluctant.

Their chemistry is off the charts. And Hazel is a woman that Tristan wants and needs, but he needs to learn to treat her right and appreciate her, and give her the space she needs to feel confident in their relationship.

The audio of this book is amazing. Stella Hunter really embodies Hazel's emotions, her uncertainty, her shaken confidence, and her realization that she's stronger than she thinks and Tristan is more than just a young cowboy. Aaron Shedlock a perfect Tristan. I swear, he almost made me pregnant during their first hookup! But beyond all the whispery, growly hotness is also such an earnestness and vulnerability in Tristan's character that Aaron captured so well. I'll definitely listen to this one again because it was so enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to many more Rykers in the future! This series is simply top-notch.

Another great read by Kim Loraine. Tristan is a playboy, but once Hazel finds him to tell him of her pregnancy he takes full responsibility of the situation. From the time he met Hazel he felt something for her. Since they did not exchange last names on their one night stand he had no way of locating her. But he never forgot her. He hadn’t even been with anyone else since. Hazel didn’t know how to find him and was ready to raise her unborn child by herself. It was her sister’s YouTube show that she found out who he was and where he lived. From the moment he saw her at the ranch he took full responsibility. He even told her they would get married. Hazel didn’t expect that reaction, all she wanted to do was let him know about the baby. She never expected or wanted anything from him. She had just gotten over a bad marriage and didn’t trust men. Especially playboys. But the more time she spent with his family and him at the ranch she started to think what if… But could this be real? Could they have a future together? His family was something she craved and they accepted her and the baby with open arms. Could this all be a dream? He told her everything she wanted to hear, could it be real? Could she trust Tristan? As far as Tristan was concerned she was it for him. He knew it from the first time they were together and now fate or whatever you want to call it brought her back to him he was going to do everything possible to keep her at the ranch and in his life.
I loved how Tristan took total responsibility because of how he was brought up. Family values and upbringing taught him not to run but accept what life has brought him. He knew Hazel was special from their first meeting. Such a beautiful love story and what family is all about. Could not put this one down.

I never thought I’d become so engrossed in a cowboy romance but Kim Loraine continues to impress me!

Ridden Hard is the third book in the Ryker Ranch series. Books one and two told Clint and Buck’s stories and now we get Tristan’s story.

This a “surprise baby romance”. Not usually one of my favorite tropes but in this case I thought it was handled well. When Hazel ends up pregnant after a very memorable one night stand with Tristan, she knows she has to do the right thing. She tracks him down to give him the opportunity to be a part of his child-to-be’s life.

What was a surprise to both of them was how the former player, Tristan, was transformed by one night of passion and quickly changed his playboy ways to give himself and Hazel a chance at love and not just a relationship of convenience for the sake of their baby to be.

I liked how Hazel’s character didn’t just fall at Tristan’s feet but expressed her skepticism at Tristan’s desire to create a real family with her. Given their smoking hot chemistry and the strong bond Tristan has with his family led by Mama Ryker, you can feel Hazel’s fear of commitment and desire for independence start to wane.

As well written as the story was, the duet narration by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter brought it to the next level. I could listen to Shedlock say “darlin” all day long. And the chemistry he and Hunter shared had me swooning!

I’m not ready to leave the Ryker Ranch behind. It appears I won’t have to wait too long as Sam Ryker’s story was hinted at in the tail end of this book. I have no doubt it will be worth the wait.

Tristan Ryker went to visit his brother, Sam on the rodeo tour, and they decided to go out to the bar, where Tristan ended up taking Hazel back to his room for the night. Hazel had just went through a terrible divorce finding her husband was not anything like she thought. He blamed her for not getting pregnant. He cheated on her, and then kicked her out of his office, where her nurse practitioner clinic was located leaving her with nothing. Her twin sister, Erin was tired of her hiding in bed making her get up to go out to the bar with her. It was only supposed to be one night with no last names. They were never going to see each other again, but then Hazel turned up pregnant. Now she needed to find Tristan, so she could tell him about the baby. First she had to find him with no last name. Erin had a YouTube Show where she reviewed TV reality shows, and she going start on a new one "Saddle Up". As soon as they saw the cowboys riding onto the screen, they recognized Tristan. Hazel now knew who he was and where to find him. Erin immediately made reservations at the Ryker Ranch, Sunrise, Montana for a week. She was in hopes of getting some inside interviews for her show and Hazel could see Tristan. The sparks do fly when Hazel and Tristan meet again, because he does not want Hazel to ever leave. She needs to stay so he can take care of her and the baby. Hazel does not trust him, since all the men in her past have always left her. Tristan had his work cut out for him that he was a better man that. A wonderful story of learning to love and trust again.

Isn't it always the "wild ones" that fall the hardest?

Tristan is the youngest of the Ryker boys and I think that had a lot to do with how he presented himself. It was a lot of pressure, not just meeting other people's expectations but also his own. His brothers are all successful. Settling down or providing for the family in some (via Ryker's eyes) monumental way. His own fear of failure led to his playboy ways (or perceived ways I should say) and as many of us do it is easier to "self-sabotage" than to truly feel like we have failed in the eyes of those we look up to. (Yes I connected with Ryker on so many levels)

Hazel just came out of a pretty nasty relationship She has had enough of men and their chest-beating ways.
Her sister has had enough of watching Hazel wallow.
Solution?
Why a night of boot-stomping, bell ringing, no strings attached fun!

Except for some reason, fate has decided Hazel and Ryker are special and need to be in that .1% (you will see)
So Surprise!

As I am known to do I dropped into this series in the middle I am going back - The Ryker's were just a blast to spend time with and I really want to get the other two brothers' stories. Yeah, my curiosity is heck of peaked.
Despite visiting the ranch at the end of the season I had no problem falling in love with the family, getting a bit teary eyed when things went south and hooping and hollering when things went right.
Ridden Hard was all about the family
a little angst - a whole lot of love
All the feels
All the fun

While out with her twin sister Erin for a night of fun following a tough divorce, nurse practitioner Hazel meets and has a one-night stand with Tristan Ryker, who's in town to see his older brother Sam compete in a rodeo competition. Several weeks later, Hazel is shocked to learn that she's pregnant. She and Tristan didn't exchange phone numbers or even last names, so she has no way to contact him at first. She finally figures out his identity after she and Erin watch the first episode of the Saddle Up reality show, which is filmed at Ryker Ranch. Afterwards, Erin decides to book them a stay at the ranch so that Hazel can share the news with her baby daddy. Hazel doesn't expect anything from Tristan, but he surprises her by insisting on being there for her and his child.

There was a lot more to Tristan than it seemed based on his playboy reputation, and as Hazel's week on the ranch progressed, she found it increasingly difficult to resist him. Still recovering from the trauma of her divorce, Hazel was understandably afraid of making a mistake that would result in her getting hurt again. However, Tristan knew that Hazel was special, and I loved how patient and understanding he was in his efforts to prove that he was worthy of her trust.

Overall, "Ridden Hard" was another excellent addition to the Ryker Ranch series, and I highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans.

Those Ryker boys play hard and love hard and Tristan fits the bill.

The Ryker Ranch series has been a joy during quarantine because it is light, sexy, and hilarious. Each brother has their own lovable quality that pulls you in. Tristan is the reformed playboy, which makes him the perfect hero for a surprise baby story arc. Over the course of the book, you watch him completely shift into the man readers (and Mama Ryker) always knew he would be. As for Hazel, she is now my favorite heroine of the Ryker series. Her fearlessness flies off the page that it becomes effortless for a reader to connect with her.

For audiobook fans, you know what to expect from Aaron Shedlock. All of the dreamboat-level darlings’ for you to enjoy. I will say that Stella Hunter shines in this one. Audiobook fans of this series will see a growth in her talent and performance over the three books, with this one being peak level greatness.

This series always ends with a sneak peek of what’s to come and the next book will feature the mysterious Ryker brother Sam. Be prepared for a jaw-drop moment involving him in this book that sets the stage for the next chapter of the Ryker series.

Side note: It goes without saying that Mama Ryker is once again a book highlight. Without going into spoilers, you will realize your love for her in this book when something unexpected happens. Now if we can only get that Ryker prequel…

The 3rd book of the Ryker Ranch series is about Tristan, the youngest Ryker brother, who is a bit of a playboy. He enjoys life and women until he meets Hazel.

Their night was supposed to be a one night only, a no strings attached hot sexy adventure but left Hazel with a “souvenir”. Hazel soon finds out who Tristan is due to her sister’s love of reality shows. They find their way to Ryker´s Ranch and Tristan, who can´t believe he sees the woman again, he could not get out of his mind for month, well and the little fact she is carrying something of his. Hazel has no intention of staying or making Tristan take responsibility, but Tristan is having none of it and wants to be there for Hazel and the baby.

Tristan now must prove himself to Hazel, win her trust as she has been hurt in the past and that his playboy days are over.

I love surprise baby romances and the way Tristan takes responsibility and makes Hazel fall for him is heart-warming. Again, I have so much love for the Ryker family as their love knows no boundaries, especially Mama Ryker´s love!

I get why Aaron is called #dreamboat I think no one says Darlin’ or Sugar better than he does! Total Swoon Factor! Stella Hunter performance is perfection, love her, even more, with each book. Again, excellent performance by both.

This book also gives a glimpse into Sam´s story, who to me has been a bit of a mystery. Totally looking forward to his story and can’t wait to be back at Ryker´s Ranch.

She is climbing back on the horse and it is going to be a very satisfying ride

Ridden Hard is the third book in the Ryker Ranch series. After reading the previous two books I was looking forward to reading Tristan's story. He and Hazel make for an interesting couple. They she one night of fun, for her it was about letting her shake off her divorce and get back on that bucking horse so to say and for him it was yet another night of sexy action with a beautiful woman. But it seems that the bucking horse get a little too frisky and his swimmers planted their flag. Now Hazel and Tristan are going to have to navigate a whole lot more than just one night together of no strings....there are about to be a lot of strings that tie them together.

I enjoyed this story as it was fun, sexy, low angst, entertaining, sweet, romantic and more. The characters are great, even when you want to hate Tristan for his playboy ways he is just to dang charming and fills out his Wranglers with a tight butt that will not quit. Ridden Hard is a great addition to the Ryker Ranch series. I can't wait to read the next when it comes out.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

* * I HAD BEEN GIVEN AN ADVANCED READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW * *

This is the second book I have read by Kim Loraine and the first in this series. I was not disappointed in the slightest, it is a tale of chance and instant connections, redemption and in a way self-discovery.

Hazel is a strong-willed professional woman, who on a wild night of finding herself after a divorce, is in the arms of Mr. Right-Now, a hot cowboy in town for one night only. Tristan has always been the one to sow his wild oats and that night was no different until it wasn't.

They had a connection that you could see on paper, and when the stick turns blue, not only is she left with a surprise from her first night of freedom, she needs to find out who her Baby daddy is. All she has is his first name and that he was not from around there.

I love how accepting the Ryker clan is of Hazel and the first grandbaby, and how it shows that there are scars that people cant see from childhood. Family is more than blood. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see more from this family, as well as going back to read the first 2 in this series.
