For every girl or woman who has ever tried to make sense of the patterns in her personal relationships and how it all fits into her individual destiny, this book offers a welcome, fresh perspective. An essential handbook on a favorite topic—love—it will help women understand the wider meaning of love as a tool, a resource, and a force. It encourages girls to love themselves first and then reflect on the significance of love outside the common perceptions of romantic love and its role in their friendships and the world at large. It is a road map for every woman to navigate long-distance relationships, determine the real Prince Charmings, overcome icon infatuations, rediscover childhood dreams, and rule in all affairs of the heart.

I was a young adult when I read this second installment of Anthea's series and I probably re-read it again multiple times. I wish it was still easily accessible for my young adult children today.
If you've read the first book, you wouldn't really need to read the same message in a subsequent book. However you can't fault what is essentially a beautiful coffee-table book, although it's a little too personal journey kind to be a coffee-table book. This would help a teenage girl or a young woman or maybe any women who has difficulty to see the ways to self-love after a relationship.
Although it may or may not add to one's state of mind, this sequel definitely makes for a worthy collection to own for its stunning photos and inspiring words. As with the first book, I'm keeping these for my daughters.
Granted, this book sometimes comes off a bit new-agey at points with its foray into chakras early on, but the overall message is a very positive one for teen girls, promoting self-esteem and independence and the importance of love in the sense of forgiveness, friendship, and compassion along with the romantic kind, while frankly and succinctly addressing sex and desire without lectures or beating around the bush. All of this and in an appealing teen-friendly layout that has the look and feel of a spread in a teen magazine.
I purchased this book as a teenager, and (currently 23years old) read it till this day. This book contains beautiful photos of woman (from all walks of life)and mostly give tips on building a healthy relationship with your self, and your lover. As well as, the importance of preserving your body (for it is a divine gift from God) and being staying true to who you are. I HIGHLY recommend all teenage girls to out and buy this book, and support the other series of "girlosophy". Author Anthea Paul did an amazing job....
This book is one of my current favourites. I keep it next to my bed and read it often. There's something about this book that resonates with me more and more as I have different life experiences. I think that this book taught me a great lesson in self love- that we must love ourselves first to love others more deeply.
