To love is to sacrifice. Iyon ang paniniwala ni Avis Magdalene Sebastian. She believes that love is doing everything for the people you love, even if your happiness' at stake. Ganoon naman talaga pag nagmamahal diba?

Avis loves her family dearly. Gagawin niya ang lahat para hindi masira ang pamilya nila. Kahit na masaktan ang sarili, kahit na masaktan siya ay pipilitin niyang magpanggap.... even if it means pushing him away, even if it means denying her affinity-because that's how love should be. It shouldn'tbe selfish... pero minsan ay may pagkakataon sa buhay mo na gusto mo lang magdamot, kahit na alam mong masama, kahit na alam mong bawal, kahit na alam mong hindi puwede.

I really love the plot of this story. I still have the self-pub version of this duology and has a lot of foxing in the books but can't still let go of it.

I just finished this first book and looking forward to read the last book for this duology. I wonder if at the end they'll end up together. With conflicts of both of their family where there still lingering unresolved from their parents pasts. I feel like they'll end up breaking up at the end.

One of my favorite stories from Anya. I read this book through my old copy of her self pub books the first of my self-pub books collection. Nostalgic! Though maiinis ka lang talaga sa push and pull relationship ni Avis and Luke ang sarap nilang paguumpugin 🤣
