The only thing forty-two-year-old Marcelle “MJ” Jeffreys didn’t plan for was Dylan McCoy. Sure, she knew him back in the day, but damn has the boy grown into a man. Still, he’s more mature than her cheating ex, and the looks he keeps giving her make her knees weak—not the best place to be when he’s coaxing her into adding more weight to her routine!

Dylan owns his own business, has a body made in the gym, and the pick of any woman he wants. But he doesn’t want any of them. He wants MJ. With her warm smile, sexy curves, and sweet voice, she hits him like a hundred pound weight and nearly knocks him out. He wants nothing more than to start a steamy romance with this stunning woman. Now all he has to do is prove to her that age is just a number and he's counting down the moments until she’s his.

Dylan knew what he wanted....

.... and he did not care if Marcelle "MJ" was thirteen years older than him. He just had to persuade MJ that age was only a number. She was worried that their relationship was only a fling to him and he would dump her whenever a younger model would come along leaving her to nurse a broken heart. MJ spent the last couple of years only focusing on her daughter and her job and really did not have time for a relationship. She remembered Dylan when he was a kid and the thought of him just did not sit right with her but she could not get the grown version of Dylan out of her mind and he would not give up pursuing her either.

So when strange things started happening to MJ, Dylan took it upon himself to make sure MJ was protected and knew how to protect herself. It's a good thing he did because that knowledge came in handy. Her ex-husband thought he could just swoop in and claim her. but his ugly selfish abusive self was met with a new and confident. MJ. What mother in her right mind would do what Rod wanted her to do with their daughter. He got the surprise of his life. MJ wasn't having it and I just love a strong confident intelligent woman that doesn't take any crap from an abuser. She was strong enough to get she and her daughter out of the situation and start over and she'd be damned if she would go back. It was at this point that she realized that she was being ridiculous with the age thing with Dylan and finally let her self love again and Dylan was the perfect man to love her. She was ready for her HEA.

I must admit that Roxy wrote a story that had me fooled. The drama at the end had my head spinning. I thought I knew who the stalker was but this threw me for a loop. I'll admit that the beginning setting up of the story was short of boring but I stuck with it to the end and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed the read.

A classic story

But it was entertaining enough. Marcelle’s hot and cold behavior was annoying although given her past her lack of trust was understandable. I commend the author for how she described Sadie. Autism and how much support is needed to rais an autistic child is still very taboo.

Training her curves

Dylan's love for MJ started as a hero worship. It took MJ longer to noticed Dylan as an attractive adult man. It story contains drama, betrayal, deception, dreams, hope, determination, abuse, manipulation, and finding true love with a friend. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!!!

Quick, sweet read

An enjoyable story with a few things going on that I’d have liked to know more on, but a satisfying read.

I loved this book as it addressed real life issues such as physical abuse, and shame that comes with it. Loved the determination that the guy had for his love.
