This is not a standalone. This series is as work in the making folks. With each book the overall lot arc of the series gets more convoluted than the last. There is a lot of characters and now a lot of possible baby-daddies in the running for bear King. This series has always bothered me. No one is in a committed relationship with one another so don't be confusing what is considered lusting for a coveted position for love. All these firstborn bears may say they love Holly and she them but they all want that golden child and the king spot. Holly is no better either. She can't decide so she sleeps with everyone (even someone concerned not a firstborn), and then gets overwhelmed when she doesn't know.
I'm all for a RH romance and I'm against shaming females about sex but this book drives me crazy because it uses sex and a child to determine relationships. In fact the entire series does. I couldn't even finish an entire book in this series all the way through just so I knew what was going on in this book (had to keep skipping forward, which I usually never do) because of how annoyed I got with plot.

Great Story but not a great book!

I only gave it 3 stars for several reasons. I love the story and the idea behind it . I even love the characters. Though i feel that they could be better developed. After six books i still don't really know what Holly looks like. I am a person who wants the picture painted for me. There were some descriptions of the guys as seen through Holly's eyes but that's about it. I just feel that could be expanded on. Also a lot of care put into the fight scenes. Just too many words though. I found myself just skimming through the fighting because it was just drug out to far. I like the magic and different elements brought in by the different characters. I do wish more of the ends would get tied up by the end of the book. I love a sequel but i wish the books wouldn't end in the middle of the story.

They’re in more danger than ever. Holly is pregnant and they can’t tell who the father is. There is a magical barrier surrounding the fetus. But they have bigger problems. The vampires want to kill Johnny, Lucien and Celeste, someone wants to sneak into the house and hurt Trevor’s parents, and an outside alien force is coming for them. Johnny and the witches forsee these troubles, but now when and who is causing them. Can they stop the attacks before Johnny dies, and whoever wants Holly’s baby is thwarted? Holly is now pregnant, but they don’t know which of the six firstborns of the bear shifter Clans is the father of her child. The baby is being protected by some sort of magical shield. And now Damon Mulroney arrives claiming to be yet another firstborn with a claim to the Kingship.

There are threats coming from the outside, and perhaps a betrayer or mole working on the inside? Who is behind these dangerous threats and upheaval?

Things continue to happen in the story as the tension ratchets up! Is help coming from any direction now? It’s hard to tell the bad guy from the good guy when everyone keeps changing sides! How will this turn out?

This very well-written book 6 in the Bears Of Oregon Series is a continuation of a series with amazingly crafted characters that have great chemistry. Each character has been very well crafted with unique personalities and grow throughout the story. A must read from a great Author. I have enjoyed this authors series of books.

This is the sixth book in this continuous series. You will need to read them in order to get the full understanding of all the characters and their journey. Now that Holly is pregnant and they don't know who the father is will be make them come undone? The story is action packed.

I'm giving up on this series. I had hoped that things would get back to the level of #1 and #2. The editing was still poor. The euphemisms for sex and body parts were getting out of hand. I reached a good stopping point -- we know who the baby belongs to.

Holly is fantastic!

Hands down in love with Holly and all her friends and family! Especially Johnny! I think he and Loch are my favs! Definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes action and romance together!
