From the arms of the storm, the monsters come.

Denridge Hills is under attack, its citizens fleeing from the pale white monsters brought by the storm. Can anyone uncover the truth of their presence before it’s too late?

Cody finds himself trapped inside the school, the invaders doing whatever they can to break inside. Tori fights the cold, desperate to escape the storm. Alex wrestles with the reality of what he’s seeing with his own two eyes. And Karl…

Karl confronts the being who twisted his mind. A mysterious figure with a stone-white mask. A being bent on bringing him under its control.

“Buried” is the second tale in the serialized apocalyptic horror, "When Winter Comes," with new episodes released monthly.

The author continues to take the reader into a fascinating and terrifying world. The storm brews out of control, becoming it's own terrifying character in the horrific unfolding of events. The characters that glued me to the page in the first book pulled me in further as the conflict between them and the inner turmoil they experience elevates the horror and tension dripping from every word. A diverse cast of new and interesting characters are woven in, described so well that I felt I knew them in a matter of a sentence.

Unexpected twists and turns and meetings of characters, new and old, left me dying to find out what would happen.

The vivid descriptions are beautifully written. I felt like I was there with my own teeth chattering with cold and in fear.

You need to buy this book and block off a few hours. Once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down, and you will be left longing for the next one.

Things are heating up in the cold.

The second episode is just as well written as was the first, and we are getting some interesting clues into the origins of the creatures, as well as the human characters. However, if Mr. Willcocks keeps killing them off at the current rate, there may not be any left to ponder the motivations of.

All in all, a well-written story and well worth anyone's time reading it.

Refreshingly Evil

This is book two in a promising series. It’s a great read, well-paced with enough horror to shake a severed arm at! Particularly enjoyable is the refreshing reimagining of evil created which sets this apart from many other apocalyptic stories.

Frozen horror

From the deepest parts of the frozen north comes a horror that can hardly be described or believed. Monsters that aren’t the monsters you think you know but you dont. A little town in the middle of nowhere gets a taste of what horror can be.

This is honestly a five star book. Im so bummed that the author is a fatphobic jerk. I removed a star for every five mentions of fatphobia. Reader beware.

Fast paced, character driven and breath taking (literally)

I loved the first episode and the second hasn’t disappointed - from the first word the pace and tension hits you in the face and doesn’t let up. There were so many moments were Willcocks action had me wanting to hide behind a cushion but considering I needed my eyes to read, I had to refrain. The characters are so well fleshed out and it’s impossible not to feel yourself in their impossible situation, imagine the blizzard wrapping around you and the screams getting closer... The descriptions are just as horrifyingly beautiful as the first episode. Highly recommend - now if you don’t mind, I need to read episode three!
