I’m known as many things— A hunter. A killer. A lone red wolf.

A femme fatale caught between two men.
One a ruthless Boston crime boss who wants to steal my freedom.
The other an Irish gun for hire who demands my loyalty.
Both are my enemy.
Both are dominant. Deadly. And dangerously seductive.

When I’m forced to choose between them the stakes get higher. The consequences become deadlier. And the lone red wolf goes from hunter to hunted.

In a world where trust is an expensive currency, I need to be smart. Kill anyone who gets in my way. And protect the people I love no matter the cost.

They don’t call me dangerous for nothing...

I have been counting down the days, waiting patiently for Dangerously to be released. M.Never never disappoints. She blew it out of the park. Did you ever read a book, where it rips your heart and soul and keeps you on the edge? Well, Dangerously just did that and I will have a book hangover for a long time to come. Well worth it.

Fallon is my favorite femme fatale. That girl is on fire. Runaways away from home at 16 years of age. Becomes best in her field of a contract killer. Fallon meets Declan on an assignment and man does it explode from there.

So many plot twists and turns. You didn’t see them coming and several times was mouth dropping. I Freaking loved Declan and Fallon she was a fierce, strong, fighter, take no prisoners kind of woman. Declan is strong, handsome, steps in when needed and you just don't see him coming.

This isn’t your typical love story. A great Dark Romance. I couldn’t put the book down and was a quick read. I highly recommend it if you like dark romance and femme fatale.

DNF @63%.

I had never heard of this author before but when I saw one of my friend add it to their TBR and read the blurb, I decided to pick it up.

I love alpha females, I like them more when they are as badass as men, be they serial killers or assassin. I did not connect with Fallon AT ALL. She is an assassin that works for a crime boss who is obsessed with her, she has principles kinda. She will not let innocent girls be harmed even though she kidnaps them and gives them to strangers, she threatens the strangers with bodily harm if they assault the kidnapee so it's all good.

On her recent mission she is paired with another assassin, after the mission they have sex all night-sans condoms- and then he disappears. Two years later, the crime boss finds her and wants her to be his right hand woman, she doesn't want to be chained down but they have a certain chemistry so they have sex -sans condoms- all night and he leaves her with a mission. She has to kill the assassin she slept with two years ago because he killed the crime boss's family.

She goes on the mission and OBVIOUSLY can't kill the guy. The guy is with his two year old daughter who he had with the love of his life who was the sister of the crime boss. Apparently , Declan, the assassin was in love with Ronan, the crime boss's sister. The sister was married to another crime family even though they were in love with each other. They had an affair and then Ronan tells Declan that if he kills Ronan's family leaving him in charge,he will finally have his sister. Declan does it but Ronan double crosses him and kills his sister(declan's love) in front of him. Declan is running for his life with his 2 year old daughter now.

He tells Fallon all this and tells her to come with him as they run away together. Fallon is moved and goes off the grid to try to help them. They have sex-sans condoms- and then Fallon double crosses him again to Ronan and that's as far as I got.

I didn't like Fallon with her fake principles and shilly shally emotions. I even prefer Ronan in all this mess. Declan is fine with killing a family as long as he can keep his lover, Fallon is fine with kidnapping teens and leaving them with questionable characters as long as she threatens to castrate them. Ronan in contrast said what he wanted and did it.

I can already see the drama, Fallon's sister might be threatened somehow, Aisling as well. I'm really not interested.

Mind Blowing

Wow, this was sooo good! It took me some time to get used to the writing style but believe me when I tell you that it was soo worth it. Those plot twists really blew my mind and of course I couldn't put it down (guess who stayed up late to finish it 🤭).

My only problem and the reason why I have to lower my rating was the fact that some parts could be more were developed and to be absolutely honest I wanted this book to be longer, I just couldn't get enough. Also, I can't quite believe that someone who claims to love his/her child doesn't ask about him or her after meeting their kidnapper. 😳

Of course I'm going to read the rest of the books in the series, hopefully soon. 4 ⭐

It's not a love story, it's a Gaelic Storm of emotions
Only MNVER knows how to make us fall in love with assassins and killers. we smirk when they shoot, we laugh when they kill and we leap in joy when they twist the torturous knives and gut their victims out, all the while praying for their HEA.

description

It takes a veteran talent of M to spin the story so racy and slick you can hear the tires screeching at the twists and turns and the smell of rubber burning when all hell let's loose. She's created a perfect story of imperfect hearts, meeting during a storm that sweeps from first page to the last
Fallon McNamara is a skilled eliminator. She's impulsive and lethal, never once missing her target.
And when Declan O'Dea lands in her crosshairs, he has nowhere to run....but towards her.

description

"pure, untainted love would never happen in our world. Love blooming at all is practically preposterous. We are killers, mercenaries, and death dealers. Chaos follows us wherever we go. And we prefer it that way. Where does love fit into anarchy like that? "

description

He's her male counterpart with a baggage which she gladly takes care of... I cant/won't say much, it's a special surprise and delightful twist to read. Their love is doomed from the start, more harmful and dangerous than not. Their chemistry doesn't have sparks, it is a stick of dynamite!!!

description

“When are you going to stop acting like such a bitch?” Declan yells.
“When you pull your head out of your ass!” I scream back.

Declan is drunk Irish who just steals the show. Fallon is a savage and wild heroine, I legit twirled pom-poms for. Kick Ass,
The story explodes in the first chapter itself and the Ashes keep swirling and cover everything in grey. The passions, the sacrifices, the relationships are all on various shades of Grey and that is MNever's comfort zone, her Forte. ive been waiting a long time to re read her books and so glad she's back on the war-horse.
Bummed that I was expecting my bbf to make an appearance but alas, that wasn't to be..
Anywho tomorrow is another novel..*hint-hint*😉

Fallon is an Assassin. She does her job and does it well until one assignment changes everything. When Irish Mobster, Ronan Kennedy, asks her to do a job she agrees. That might of not been the best decision though. Declan O’Dea is not so happy to have company on assignment. To bad they have to work together and maybe just maybe they won’t hate each other too much. When another job comes up 2 yrs later it might make the word complicated seem easy! I loved the dynamic between these three strong characters. Can she choose between what’s right and wrong? Lies, deception and self preservation are all center stage in this exciting assassin romance wish a dash of funny moments that will have you laughing. I don’t want to say much more and give anything away. This is a full speed ahead ride and I enjoyed every moment. Where can I find a sexy Irish assassin? Told in dual POV

M. Never is back with a vengeance. This was one of my top reads of 2020! I'm not going to be forgetting this intense, angst-filled journey for a long while to come. I've been going through withdrawals from M. Never's words, but she's returned, and I devoured this beauty overnight.

Declan was everything you want and need in an alpha male. He is deliciously demanding, but there's a side to him that will melt not only your heart, but your Kindle (and panties). He is epic book boyfriend material!

Fallon is one of my favorite female characters I've read in a very long while. She's strong, stubborn, but she's also real. Her fears, heartbreaks, and her worries are what we all go through and I connected with her on a personal level. She is no pushover, but her softness toward Declan was beautiful.

This author brings a story that will seep through your veins, burrow it's way into your heart, and live there for a long time. The darkness was beautiful, the light was exquisite, and the steam was everything you expect from an M. Never novel.

Get this book now!

THIS is exactly the M Never that got me hooked on her books. A little dark, taboo topics, steamy hot characters who are unapologetic for taking what they want in and out of the bed. Characters who have strong, if slightly skewed, moral compasses. Great twists, heartbreak, and huge character growth. Loved this book!

CRACKLE … SIZZLE … FLOP

“Love is a poison that renders you weak. Makes you vulnerable and ultimately is your undoing. I say who and I say when. In sex, love, and murder.”

Make bank on this. Two stone cold killers-for-hire with the hots for each other, matched skills to burn, and sparring tongues that had me all gushy, as limp as a wet noodle inside, and heavily leaning in on this couple. And then they went and added a motherless, cherubic toddler that stole my heart and made her single daddy a desperate man-on-the-run … and I was a total goner. It’s gonna take a heap of shit to mess this up for me.

Well, don’t hold your breath because that’s exactly what the author did … in spades. Things that just happen out of the blue from huge contrivances without explanation or follow-through. As the story fell apart at the seams, I kept wondering what the author was smoking when she wrote it. After ensnaring me so fully with enticing banter, the lovers’ sexual aura, and the tease of a dangerously suspenseful romance, it all became too much of a good thing and crashed to the ground.

Everything starts out edgy and nerve-wracking. The first time they met it was dangerous. The second time they met it was murder. Contract killer Fallon is a hit-woman living in a world without love, as she hops from job to job and only trusts her gay, behind-the-scenes assistant March (think Bosley from the old Charlie’s Angels TV show, but more savvy). She’s got a buried incest secret, horrible rich parents, and a teen sis she worries about still under their roof. But that’s all background noise. She’s stuck between her Mafia boss/lover Ronan and his enforcer Declan whom she's been hired to kill – a man she’s coincidentally fallen for before he disappeared on her.

“It’s diabolical. Your new lover wants you to assassinate your old lover.” “~~ He is fire I shouldn’t fan, but I’m much too tempted not to touch the flame. Dangerous.”

In a nutshell, Ronan frames Declan for murder of his entire family to take control of their empire. Ronan’s sister – the love of Declan’s life and his baby mama – is killed in the bloodbath, and Declan escapes with their baby daughter. Holed up together in hiding from Ronan, Declan drinks like a fish without a plan for their survival and nowhere to go, while waiting for whoever Ronan sends to polish him off and take back the baby. That killer is Fallon, but she can’t pull the trigger … sparks fly … and they wind up in the sack and a world of trouble with Ronan.

I was captivated when all of a sudden, this edgy romance went from tantalizing to borderline comedy about near-zany domestic bliss that resembled assassins' daycare. The happy little trio – now on the run together -- doesn’t act concerned enough about their situation, while involving March in their escape plan (whatever that is). My eyeballs were permanently stuck in the back of my head as characters did extraordinary things made possible by OTT connections and convenient contrivances. Toss in loads of drama as the killer pair is busy playing hide the salami and patty-cake with little dollface as they leap from hotel rooms to a double-wide in a trailer park, and you’ve got some idea how this “going nowhere fast” story degrades. It kept flip-flopping about what kind of story it wanted to be.

I call it ADHD comedy-drama 101. At 75% the whole shebang was seriously drifting and in need of a life raft. Much of the story is purposely misleading about characters’ intentions before “tell vs. show” explanations of what really happened reveals surprise twists that made me groan. For such a life-and-death dilemma, there was an inexplicable amount of comic relief. Their minds are seldom on business – always joking, or having sex, or wasting time with lame comedy until the bullets fly. And sometimes the baby is simply forgotten.

Tender moments followed by nonsense followed by irreverent humor followed by raw sex followed by kick-ass action followed by danger. I got whiplash. It started off with a bang, but withered under sloppy attention to details and story flaws. Little makes sense, especially the sudden business connection between Fallon’s dad and Ronan … how the characters all wind up at Fallon’s family estate (the last place she would ever go) as part of an escape plan … and a contrived showdown with Ronan. That bloodbath ending and Fallon’s bombshell, incest confession left me speechless and giving them all the stink-eye. I hated what happened to likable March, and thought less of Fallon’s handling of her secret that she basically turned her selfish back on for years. And the loose-lipped killer lovers were dumb as dirt for too much sharing of their plans and personal details with the wrong people. Professionals? I think not. A really good start that turned into a disappointing mess, when I expected a whole other direction. Next time I see an M. Never book, I'll think twice.

Author: Cheers-ing? Don’t you mean toasting? And it’s “midriffs”, not “mid-drifts”. That’s the quality of writing here.

Dangerously Mmmmmm!

Pure entertainment from some exceptional writing! M. Never is one of the best when it comes time to the crafting of the erotic encounter. In my mind this is her strength as a contemporary writer. In this book, she shows some genuine prowess in plotting a captivating story-line. Also the character development is interesting as it is supported by the twist and turns of the plot.
This is a full-bodied work. Something so very satisfying to read, especially if you enjoy a dark romance with a bad-a$$ heroine and hero.
The notoriously sordid but exciting elements of the organized world are juxtaposed with the sweetness of loving a bay girl and keeping her close and safe. Romance blossoms into love and love leaves heartache in choices motivated by newfound love.
For the hopelessly romantic, this is a feast...or at least a pretty good meal of bad boy Hot Alpha males, a kick-a$$ heroine, murder and mayhem, sweet dirty heat and true love. All the "things that make you go Mmmmmm!

M. Never takes me on a ride every time I read one of her books. Dangerously was one hell of a ride. I was lucky to get an ARC and I devoured it. I fell in love with Declan and Fallons story. " Make me yours, become mine." So sorry but Declan is claimed by me. He is all mine. I am so excited for the audio. I need to hear the accent.

M Never always hooks me straight away, never fails to hook me in.
When i read the blurb i honestly didn't know how it was going to pan out, i wasn't sure who i liked more but as the book carried on it was pretty clear.
There was a few twists i wasn't expecting which kept me on my toes.

I have been a fan of this author for a long time and have been eagerly waiting for this book since I heard a snippet of the audio for this book. I would have read it anyway at some point because I not only love this author but because the blurb had me sucked in. However, hearing that amazing accent in the audio snippet, moved this book to the top of my must-read books. I can gladly say that the book led up to its hype and that sexy voice.

From the first chapter, it was riveting. I needed to know who this person was and why she was the person that would be on these types of assignments. As the story progresses, I get the answers as to who Fallon is, and most importantly, why she became that person. It heart to hear her backstory. I was unsure about Declan and also Ronan. Eventually, I got my answers and trust me when I say I was right to be unsure about one of those characters. Watching the interactions between Fallon, Declan and Ronan had me bouncing around a bit as I tried to see how these paths intercepted. There were games being played here and I didn't know how or why. The steamy times were hot with a certain person. The other just made me uncomfortable.

The suspense was killer in this one and the twists, one of them in particular, came from left field. I wasn't prepared for that one. It made me love the fighting spirit of Fallon that much more. There were some areas that I wish would have been explained a little more such as the motivations behind why one of these men did what they did and what they had hoped they would gain from it. Regardless of those though, I was all in for the ride and for watching a love story grow from this as well as the chance of a fresh start for Fallon to experience what she had missed so much of before. I was right for having moved this up on my list. Now, I just need to find all the books that this magical voice has narrated and read/listen (even though I rarely listen to audiobooks because I read way faster than I can listen) to them because his voice is amazing. I could listen to him read the phone book it is that good.

This book is outstanding and the best novel I've read this year.

What a twisty plot! I'm still stunned trying to get a grip on what I read. I love when a book makes you laugh, cry, and angry at the same time. It definitely will play with your emotions.

Yes, the plot was fantastic. Over the top action with so many twists and turns that when you think you have things figured out it turns out you're wrong.
It was also so hot. Sizzling! Fallon and Declan sure can steam up several pages.
Also, there is some darkness with this read. So much pain and secrets...So you've been warned! Honestly, the darkness made the book that much better.

Fallon is one of the strongest heroines I've read. She is a fighter and never gives up. Her whole life has been a disaster and she still comes through tougher than ever. She is my hero for sure!

Declan is one lucky man. The things that happen to him should break his armour but when he has to man up things change. He becomes strong willed and will stop at nothing for vengeance.

All in all, I really loved this book. I tried to sit down and take my time devouring it but it sucked me in and before I knew it the book was over. Well worth the read.

Overall: 4 / 5

Dangerously is a suspenseful standalone romance written by author M. Never. This book tells the story of Fallon, who’s a contracted killer. She is such a strong female character, and I loved her from the very beginning. Her best friend, March, manages her assignments, and I just love their friendship. The story begins in the Louisiana bayou area, where she accepts an assignment from Ronan Kennedy, who is a very powerful man in the mafia. He asks that she assist one of his men, Declan O’Dea, who’s having some difficulty finishing a job.

Declan and Fallon’s first encounter in the bar was amusing, and I just loved their banter. I don’t want to say too much, but there is so much drama between Declan, Ronan, and Fallon! The twists were plentiful, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!

Dangerously is an emotional and exciting story, and I recommend adding it to your TBR list!

"She was never a choice— she was inevitable."
Fallon is definitely a force to be reckoned with in this tale of vengeance, loyalty and of course love.  She fights for what she believes in and protects those she loves with fierce determination.
I loved that there was more story to the story and not just excuses to jump from one sex scene to another, not that those weren't intense and hot as hell, but there was just so much more to enjoy.  Fallon and Declan were perfectly matched and their dialogue was very entertaining.  There are loads of detail to draw you into every scene so you feel less like an observer and more part of the action.  Very well written and highly recommended.

M. Never always provides readers with an excellent story and Dangerously is no different.

Fallon is one tough woman. A killer who can handle the roughest of the rough. She doesn't need anyone and she doesn't rely on anyone. That's just the way she likes it.

Her life gets turned upside down by Ronan and Declan. One who wants to own her and the other who doesn't want to admit that she owns him.

This book was filled with twists and turns. It was filled with secrets and lies. You never knew just who to trust until the very end. Which makes for such a suspenseful story.

5 stars for an excellent read!

I just love a dark romance with a truly strong heroine who can hold her own. M. Never definitely delivered just that kind of story in Dangerously. We have Fallon, who is a fierce assassin torn between two formidable and dangerous men. One wants to own her, the other wants to love her. You would think that this is a love triangle, but it's not. Nothing is as it seems in this high octane action packed roller coaster ride. The chemistry is off the charts, the twists keep coming and I was completely engrossed till the end. Definitely a must read for fans of dark suspenseful romance featuring a strong heroine and a complicated hot alpha hero.

I was asked what would you prefer a cover or a synopsis on a book. Synopsis is a must but I also need to know in it if the hero is a single daddy and this was not mentioned. So I got duped here.
Some people read for this stuff but I stay clear away from it. That first scene at the gas station. Wow 😳 quite a badass.
