I never expected my life to take the turn it did. I planned to raise my children surrounded by family and love.

But plans, and people, change.

As I began to pick up the pieces of my life, I found myself confronted with a wealth of memories tucked away inside me I’d long buried. Especially when I came face-to-face with the ones of Kody Laurence from summers long ago.

When we land together thousands of miles away from where we first met, can we return to the friendship we once had?

Or is it our time for something more?

Tracey Jerald knew she was meant to be a writer when she would re-write the ending of books in her head on her bike when she was a young girl growing up in southern Connecticut. It wasn’t long before she was typing alternate endings and extended epilogues “just for fun.”
After college in Florida, where she obtained a degree in Criminal Justice swearing she saw things she’ll never quite believe and never entirely forget, Tracey traded the world of law and order for IT. Her work for a global internet startup transferred her to Northern Virginia where she met her husband in what many call their own happily ever after. They have one son.
When she’s not busy with her family or writing, Tracey can be found in her home in north Florida drinking coffee, reading, training for a runDisney event, or feeding her addiction to HGTV.

Where do I start? I feel like there is nothing that I can possibly say that could adequately describe how I feel about this book, Return by Land is book #2 in the Glacier Adventure series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I feel like reading Return by Air first would be beneficial. And I just like to read series in order, lol!! Kody is a very swoon worthy hero and he is perfect for Meadow. Meadow’s character is one of great depth; the trials that are her life will have your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. If you are looking for a great story that will suck you in and chew up your emotions before letting go of you, this is the book for you. I loved it.

What a wonderfully beautiful book. This is book 2 in a great series and this is Kody and Meadows love story and what a story it is. This book definitely has all the feels and had me laughing to crying. I was hooked from the start and I couldn’t put it down and I definitely didn’t want it to end. Five stars doesn’t seem enough as Tracey has a way with words that will make you choose her books every time. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion but please do yourself a favour and read this series.

I loves me a second chance romance. Especially when you couple it with friends to lovers. To borrow a phrase from Fated Mates, it's like catnip to me. Add in the female MC taking back her life and figuring out who she is outside of a relationship and get that in my veins! Meadow, straight off a divorce, begins a new job in a new place, away from her family. Shenanigans occur and Kody ends up bringing his construction crew to help her rebuild. Of course they fall in love along the way and have to navigate all the nuances that go along with second chance romances, especially when children are involved. I will say I usually don't care about kids in a story but I was kind of bummed there wasn't more development there or at least it had occurred earlier in the story but it worked and I get the reasoning.

While the book can be read as a standalone, I'd highly recommend reading book one first. You get a better understanding of the relationships here and some needed backstory. I'm still holding out we get Jed's POV at some point, even in a novella. One thing Tracey does so so well is writing found family and navigating relationships in her work and RBL is no exception.

Now, when can we go to Alaska?

3.5 stars

Many thanks to Tracey and Linda for an ARC of the book.

Return By Land was an amazing read! Yes, it can be read as a standalone but in my opinion, for better enjoyment starting off with the first book is a must. As always, Jerald's writing is one of a kind. Her attention to detail captivates me each and every time. The writing level that this author is on, shows what a seasoned author she is. I try to gobble it up as fast as I can because I can not get enough. With that said, I wasn't really sure where Jerald was gonna take Kody's story, but boy did she do him justice. This story is full of all the unrequited feels.

The push and the pull literally pulled at all my strings and no, I am not just talking about the Romance aspect. My heart bleed for these characters for more than one reason, and more than one aspect. Jerald's development of Kody and Meadows story was more than just great world building. It was the depth that chewed me up, and spit me back out. It was truly sensational. I was able to be in these characters heads and live their lives right along with them, and I must say it was no easy fete. Moving on to the flow.. No words. This author wove the backstory in like it was no thing. It was all natural, and perfect. The dialogue from all POV was precise and matched each characters personalities and mannerisms to a T. I am a major fan of the age range of these characters as well. I feel like I can relate to them on more than one subject.

I love all of the characters and they all deserve their own spotlight but because this story is about Kody and Meadow, this is just about them. Kody is a saint. The patience he protrudes is out of this world. In my opinion, he does not have a mean bone in his body. He is kind, so kind. Willing to help any and everybody. Meadow. I felt for her, but her growth was out of this world. She wants to the best for everyone, even at the cost of her very own happiness. She loves hard with no regrets.

Overall, this book is pure brilliance, and I am so glad I was able to go on this ride along with these characters. I look forward to more books in this series.
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

I thought I knew what to expect going into this one, book two in Glacier Adventure Series. Oh how utterly wrong I was.

I'm at a loss to find the right words to express how much this book means to me.  OMG! EPIC! BEAUTIFUL!! MAGNIFICENT! THE BEST OF THE BEST!!  This is my most favourite of yours. Tracey, in fact its completely knocked the others out of the park.

I am an emotional wreck, a blubbering mess, completely raw. Was up to the early hours to finish it.  I just had to know.  Today Im surviving on 3 hours sleep.

I cannot believe how much this book tore my insides out.  The heartache and pain Kody and Meadow endured to get their second chance and a HEA, truly is beyond words.

An absolute gem! NO A DIAMOND!!

Return by Land is book two in T. Jerald's Glacier Adventure Series. Every book is about another couple and can easily be read as a stand-alone. For best reading experience, and yes, there are a few cross-over, I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Return by Air, Kara and Jennings' heart-wrenching story.

Return by Land is Meadow and Kody's story. Meadow is the 38 year old, divorced sister of Rainey. She lived in Alaska, butr is now about to move to Montana - don't ask, just saying it's necessary. She has to start over for herself and her kids sake. New city, new house, new job. But on her first day at the new job something hppns that requires a contractor, and when Kody learns about that he's on his way.
Kody is the single brother to 6 sisters and he's well accustomed to his sisters. He's in love with Meadow for a long time, and this time he's determined to not walk away again.
Only Meadow has quite a bit growing up to do.
After the cryfest I had reading Return by Air, I couldn't wait to read Return by Land - and what can I say, this one is just like the first book a highly emotionl read. I was in tears more than one time and I can't get the story out of my head. The characters stubbornly, or thankfully, stay with me. I highly recommend this gem of a story, 5 stars.

I received an Arc. Wow! That’s all I can say about this roller coaster of emotions I had during the duration of the book. I gave the book a 4.5 rating only because I honestly felt that I should of read the first book in the series. While this book only revolves around Kody and Meadows story I felt like book one could’ve shown some light on a few things mainly Jeb.

Kody and Meadows book was a second/first time chance and I honestly love how it turned out. I loved the trials and tribulations they each had to do through to get where they ended up. I also greatly appreciated the emotions Tracy Jerald put Meadow through regarding her children. Everyone knows each child experiences their emotions different but the way Tracy wrote the children’s emotions ugh 😭😭 I felt my heart breaking into tiny pieces. Thank you Tracy for writing such an amazing book with all the feels and such amazing down to earth characters.

Meadow’s life is falling apart after a messy divorce. She moves to Montana and has a new job all to meet her ex-husband’s demands. But once she realizes she needs the help of an old friend her life starts turning around. How will Kody convince Meadow that he never moved on and only has eyes for her? Meadow and Kody are so sweet and romantic. Definitely worth the read.

When I read Return by Air I had GREATLY regretted not reading Tracey sooner. This book reallllly cements that for me!!

I knew we'd get something good with the other couples, but I never expected this. Kody and Meadow had such an awesome beginning, but their middles? Not so awesome. These two had gone through a lot, Meadow more so than Kody, but man did they go through it. My heart ached so much for both of them. But, because Tracey is amazing, these two reconnect in the most amazing way! I LOVED how Kody came in to save the day, and how much Nature's Song truly meant to him. I learned quickly how special Jed was, but we got even more amazing moments of his in this book. I wept for him almost as much as I did Kody and Meadow! I think that Meadow working at Nature's Song during this book made Kody and Meadow's story so much more special. This house had so much history, both with the Jacks and with Kody. It was the perfect place for the couple to heal. Between the home and thoughts of Jed, there was a ton of healing throughout this book.

I'm having a really hard time putting into words how amazing this book is. From the moment I started it, I couldn't put it down. I was that person reading at inappropriate times and in inappropriate places because I had to know what was going to happen. These two had a past, and I couldn't wait to see how they reconnected. Everything about these two had me weepy. From the good, to the extremely ugly, to the super romantic. I was crying at every turn. Meadow was dealing with so much and Kody was such a knight in shining armor throughout the whole thing. Most of all though, it was all so beautiful! Her writing is so darn special!

If you thought Return by Air was good, YOU JUST WAIT! Kody and Meadow will knock your socks off!

This story of Kody and Meadow was so much more than chasing a happily ever after, it was about finding oneself after being lost to life.
Kody having been in love with Meadow for so very long, just stole my heart. He's everything you look for in "the one", he's everything Meadow needs when she needs it and he's a man to get lost in. There was so much about Kody I liked that it was hard when he broke my heart at one point through his actions because I felt like I just never expected it of him.
Meadow, gosh. I feel like I've been her many many years ago, and again more recently while trying to discover who I am- me, not the mom or grandma or wife but me. I feel like she could be so many of us! Putting everyone above ourselves, constantly doing for others and burying ourselves and our needs or dreams because we need to be something else for everyone else.
Meadow, wow, she's strong- willing to sacrifice herself for those in her life. I felt her heartache, her frustrations and finally her healing. As she found the happiness she deserves I cheered for her and when it came to Kody I cheered for them.
This book has many layers and each one touched my heart. Through friendships, family and even self acceptance all of the characters of this book had great emotional growth directly so to their support systems....I always say It takes a Village- and Meadow shows just how true those words are!
Having secondary characters introduced in the first book always makes a book better for me. I just LOVED their parts in this book and how their all brought to light. I cannot wait for book 3, I just know Nick is going to blow is away!

Solid 4.5 star
Kody and Meadow were in love when they were much much younger but nothing ever came of it and they went their separate ways and now Jed the glue that held everyone together has passed away and Meadow's personal life is disintegrating quicker the snow under a sun lamp. Meadow decides she needs to find who she is again after being a wife and mother for so long and well life decides to make that difficult for her too and she has a big mess to clean up for her new boss. This big mess gives Kody the chance to see Meadow and help her although both he and everyone else bar Meadow knows he still has strong feelings for her so that along with his history of the house she needs fixing means this is going to be an interesting job! There are plenty of times you want to shake both of them as well as hug them and tell them it will be ok as they both go through plenty of highs and lows so thank god for friends and family being there for them well apart from Meadows ex he can bug off with how he treated her and the kids. I sooo can not wait for the next in the series as with each book you get to know new characters and catch up with old ones just like when you catch up with your own family!

Tracey hit me in all the feels yet again! I am so glad Kody got his story! I am falling more in love the "The Jacks" in each book of this series and there are only 2 so far! This story encompasses Meadow and Kody's heartfelt journey back to one another after years apart. We witness the true meaning of sacrifice, family and unconditional love in all aspects in this story. But a journey of the heart is not complete if not met with unfortunate turns, a little misunderstanding and some heartache. Can they defy and overcome the odds and outside sources destined to keep them apart. Or will a literal rebuilding of walls bring them closer than they ever dreamed they could be? Step into the world in the shadow of a glacier and let the words and feelings of this story warm you up! Get started with Return By Air, and then plant your feet on the ground and let this story wrap around your soul! Such a beautifully written story!

Return by Land is Kody & Meadow's story, and it's highly emotional to be honest.  See, Meadow was the one who got away, so now that she's moved to his neck of the woods, Kody is determined to not let her go again.  Meadow has gone through the fire with her marriage & divorce so she moves with her kids for a fresh start.  Little did she know that she would get a second chance at love, but the journey is filled with landmines, as Meadow really has to get herself together before letting anyone else in.  Man, my eyes are already starting to water again because Ms. Jerald can weave together an emotional story that gets my eyes going rogue.  She's such a brilliant & highly addictive author that I wish that I could give any story of hers more than 5 stars.  I would love to go on & on, but then I may give something away, plus it's just better to go in blind so hit those one click buttons!  I CANNOT WAIT for more of this series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Dramatic with family issue, humour with friendship, and angsty with their past... Jerald writes and connects plots in this second chance romance so well I laugh and cry through the end of the book. Of course, Kody is so swoon-worthy. But I admire Meadow the most. She is strong, intelligent, and would do everything for her children. To tell you the truth, I related to Elise, Meadow's daughter, but my mother chose to tell me about my father's affair but she had never told me to disrespect my father (everything I did was all on me) and I was grateful for it. So it irritates me what Meadow did instead. I understand her reason and I know that not every children get this kind of news well but still. Anyways, even if Kody needs some push, love win them all and Meadow's children prove that they are good children which Meadow deserves them all after her everything she has done for them.

Tracey Jerald does it again with another heart wrenching, heart warming story in the Glacier Series. This is the second chance for Kody and Meadow to find their HEA that has been years in the making. Kody's heart has always belonged to Meadow. Meadow's heart has always belonged to Kody even though she married another. When Meadow needs help Kody's jumps into the fray. As Kody and Meadow mire through the ghosts of the past, the relationships of the present and their goals for the future we readers are treated to an exquisite, intricate story of loss and love. Home is where your heart is.

Return by Land is book #2 in the Glacier Adventure Series and Tracey has once again blown me away with this fabulous story. It's a heart-wrenching, beautiful story, that will surely take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions from beginning to end. She gives us such in depth descriptions of the scenery as well as into the characters minds that you feel like you are living the story through the pages. I fell in love with Meadow and Kody from the start. I found myself yelling at the characters, sobbing at some scenes, and laughing out loud at others. The characters are so relatable. This is a standalone, however I suggest you start with book one if you want to get the whole picture. This a for sure a book you want to read.

This was. 4.5⭐️ read
This book was beautifully written.
Although you can read this as a stand-alone, I do feel you get more out of it having read Return by Air.
This is a story of unrequited love ad second chances.
What Meadow went through to finally get her HEA was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Kody was perfect. Every girls dream, although he is dealing his own grief.
Together they have a beautiful story of friendship and love and deserve a HEA.
The beauty of this book is the interconnected characters. Makes it feel like a family and pulls you right into he story.
Can’t wait to see what’s up next

Where to begin?! First, fantastic book as always Tracey!! Second, STOP MAKING ME CRY!!!! Seriously though, this was a wonderful read that I didn’t want to end. Return by Land is the second book in the Glacier Adventure Series and follows Kody, who we met in Return by Air, and Meadow. These two friends from the past have been carrying torches for each other for years and are finally in a place to rekindle their friendship and take it to new levels. There’s no shortage of laughs and heartache as Tracey brings back past characters, introduces us to new friends and hints at what’s yet to come!

Kody and Meadow

All I can say is tortured from the beginning! Falling in love and not being able to capture the girl of your dreams because Kody never spoke up! Ugh! Talk about heart wrenching. Finally, after 17 years, Kody is able to go after Meadow. Can't blame Meadow for being cautious and not wanting to get hurt. Wait for it... What an explosive love they have. Such passion and love, I think a few times I yelled at the book because of what they were doing! Kody and Meadow get thru the sludge between them. For them to understand, first love, because it's what they had from the get go! These two... Love them. I still want a book about Jed and Dean!!

Meadow and Kody shared something special, but unfortunately they didn’t act upon it in time. Seventeen years later, they meet up again and this time Kody refuses to walk away from his only love.

Return by Land is the second book in the Glacier Adventure series. Once again, Ms Jerald takes you on a romantic slow burn ride with some bumps along the way, but that’s what I love about her books. They are real. Real issues, real problems, and real love stories. Her characters have substance and stay with you long after you read the last words.

Meadow is recently divorced. As we watch Meadow pick up the pieces of her life and her childrens lives, her first love Kody appears. Though there is no doubt Kody and Meadow love one another they have been apart for many years. Meadows first responsibility is to her children. Yet her ex has messed that up royally. The kids blame her for the divorce. The road is tough and painful and long. Kody has never stopped loving her but they have both grown and changed a lot. The hurt and indecision and love feels real. Had me rooting for them throughout!

Tracey Jerald knocked it out of the park with this second chance romance. I loved the storyline, in which you learned how Kody and Meadow met, until how they rekindled their relationship. The camaraderie of the friendships of Return by Air is throughout the whole book, so you get to catch up on all their lives. The author is an excellent storyteller so even though there are a few challenging subjects, it is a feel good book.

Ten stars!!! Reading this book is no different than reading any of Tracey’s previous books- be ready to be swept off your feet in laughter, giggles, intense heat and crying. This book is absolutely amazing in its depth and the love of meadow and kora. Love is wonderful, emotional and ugly- and somehow Tracey’s words brings back the simplicity of it all. Add in the angst of lost friends and you have the perfect mix of realism with a dash of sass from kids.

They say the second times the charm

Kody and Meadow were friends but they both had feelings for each other but Meadow went a different way. Now years later and Meadow is starting a new life and she ends up needing the help from Kody. Can they be together or is there too much in the way? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Awesome book Love all of these characters so much.

I have read Tracey Gerald’s Amaryllis Series, the Glacier Series as well as a few stand alone novels.
I thoroughly enjoyed her novels as they weren’t just the same boring ‘inheriting a house/business in a small town’ type of story. Do authors opt for that formula in order to cut down on research? Enough now. We want to read more about the world out there.
Anyway, I was sorry to finish Tracey’s series’ but do have one complaint. The editing is really, really bad. She needs to find a new editor. The mistakes are glaring.
I will, however, continue reading her books as they are refreshingly different.

Return by Land, book 2 in the Glacier Adventure series is another emotional story that this author is so well known for. Kody and Meadow’s story is a second chance love story that spans almost two decades. Kody was in love with Meadow seventeen years ago, but because she was not free they both settled for friendship until she finally broke his heart. Now Meadow is divorced with two kids and due to a marital agreement she had to move to Montana to start a new life away from her family. Even though these two lived hours away from each other, when Kody was given the opportunity to finally get their happily ever after he jumped at the chance and this time he was not going to give up.

Kody and Meadow’s journey definitely had their ups and downs, each had grief and heartbreak they had to get over, but their connection was so strong. There were some scenes between Meadow and her children that were really difficult to take but again the way this author wrote their part of the story made my heart break but then put it back together again. Another wonderful read.

An unexpected second chance happens for Kody and Meadow. Strong characters are a great testament to the author and Tracey Jerald has done a great job in providing the reader with deep and interesting characters. Love the banter from the Jacks and how this story plays out. Loved it!!!
