This is yet another wonderful addition to Ms. Basset's 'Castle Sin' series about Dominants & their chosen permanent submissives. And, as always, this reader settled into this book smooth as silk & found herself deeply invested in Zeke (Master Dragon) & Taylor (heroine) immediately.
Master Dragon is in his late thirties, started his training to be a Dominant at 18 years old to become the Master that he is now, is handsome, muscular, calm, controlled & stern. And to date, no one submissive has tripped his switch to be 'the one'.
Until today.
Until Taylor.
Taylor is a brilliant attorney with her own practice based in Seattle, she's sharp, takes no guff from any man or woman, stands her ground & sticks to her principles. She's focused on her career & her clients & somewhat satisfies her submissive desires at a local club with partial submission to available Doms. And to date, no Dom has ever been entrusted with her true & total submission. Or trust.
Until today?
Until Zeke?
Because Master Dragon is unlike ANY Dom she's encountered before.
And one night stuck in DC together ignites the flames of lust in Master Dragon's chest & in Taylor's carefully constructed wall around her heart & emotions. And Master Dragon is not one to let such a delectable & delicious submissive elude his clutches while Taylor is determined to keep any relationship that develops, temporary.
I loved this one: Zeke was a wonderful Hero, calm, focused, determined. Calm, dominant, steady, protective. And while Taylor was comfortable with her ample curves while dressed, she was very insecure nude. And make no mistake: Master Dragon wanted his 'little one' nude. A lot. And the curves Taylor sought to hide flamed Zeke's intense lust to hold her, kiss her, pet her, 'engage' with her whenever he was with her.
It was a pleasure to read a curvy woman realize just how completely sexy & sensual she was, what a siren her body, her mind, her personality was to the right man. I loved their journey in this story.
And as always, Ms. Basset's writing is excellent, the reader easily forgets they're reading, is drawn into the story, 'sees' where the characters are, 'understands' the emotions they have & why, CARES about them & wants them to succeed against their foe(s), to find peace, happiness & love, together if at all possible.
The Sinclair family of siblings & cousins, as well as their women appear in this one to bolster the emotions, the action & the tension. There is sizzling steam, bitter betrayal, suspense, danger, caring, support, romance & most of all: Love. Love of family, love of friends, love of significant others: established & ptotentially new.
A simply stellar read the reader may sink into & enjoy, savor & in which to delight. I know I did.
