**Alanea's Note** This is a re-release of a previously published title. It has been re-edited and a bit more content has been added, but nothing that would change the story dramatically. As always thank you for your support! Enjoy!
Liam was devastated when he learned that the little cat Sebastian he had known for months was his mate and had been hiding the truth from him since they met. He has to overcome the pain of his past before he can accept a future with his mate. But will his mate forgive him for ignoring him when the truth came out?
Sebastian has lost hope that Liam will ever forgive him. He knows what he did was wrong, but the fear he had for getting hurt again overrode his good sense and he wounded his mate deeply. Will he be able to find a way to get Liam to see that he really does need him and earn his forgiveness?
Kent has been walking through life as a spectator. He is able to objectively review and work out problems that come his way with a level head and unshakeable nerve. He finds himself becoming the calm in the storm as his two mates try to come together. But will their history together leave him in the cold feeling like a third wheel or will the heat between his two men burn him alive? Can he forgive them their issues as he patiently helps mold them into a happy mating?
Will they be able to come together as a united front before the attempts from an old enemy destroys them?
i liked this book more than the previous mm one. firstly, it was mmm. i think it was my first poly book where everyone was male and it was awesome. secondly, there wasn’t much drama in the book, just a lot of “battles” against homophobic idiots.
i didn’t understand if kent was the “true mate” only to sebastian or to liam too. bc if to liam also, why liam didn’t “smell” kent as his mate before sebastian “coming out”?
with “the doctor” reference rebecca literally became the carbon copy of meredith from bb series. or the prototype ig. depends on who was created first.
Not quite as over the top as the last one, a good thing. Lots of political maneuvering and learning of how the cities came to be and seeing the council in action. I really liked how everyone banded together to protect those that they consider theirs and the different ways they all celebrated, from the pool party to the street nutiness that happened. It seems to be that this Arkadian town is getting to be known as the place for misfit shifters and the residents all see it as a good thing.
Every series has that ‘supporting’ character whose story you are dying to read. In this series that person is Liam. I have wanted his story told from the minute I met him in book one, Fate Knows Best. The problem with wanting to read that characters book/story is if it will live up to your expectations, Liam’s story lived up to mine.
Liam’s story sucks you in. In previous books we learned how he became the Alpha of his pack but in this book we learn more about it and how he has turned it into one that will accept anyone who feels left out and unaccepted by their loved ones.
Upon learning that Sebastian, who is a hybrid and stayed in a little cat form for months, is his mate it takes him some time to accept it because he felt lied to by him. Once he finally accepts Sebastian he immediately learns that Kent, who has been a member of the pack for a long time, is also his mate. Kent has been waiting for Liam to realize they are mates, that all three of them are mates. Once they get together…WOW!
There were some absolutely hysterical scenes, especially since it takes Sebastian time before he is able to feel safe and comfortable enough to sleep at night. There were parts that had me in tears, like when the members of his pack told him their stories. There were parts where I was just plain angry when I thought that outside forces would tear apart the mating.
The sex was smoking hot. Those three guys knew what they were doing. There was a part that made my eyes bug out but surprisingly I didn’t find off-putting and Sebastian’s shocking secret caught me off guard.
There seemed to be hints of more bad things to come and I think I have some idea of who the bad guy is.
I love that even though the books surround around individual couples that she still includes everyone in the town. They are just as important to the overall story even if it isn’t their book.
I’m so glad I found this series. Alanea Alder is a great author who writes stories that tug at your heart in a great way. I feel like I am part of the town, I would love to live there, and I feel completely connected to each of the characters. I can’t wait for more.
As expected another book I loved by Alanea Alder and this book is about a gay triad which is cute, since we have 3 guys here and since I have read it a while back I only remember one name so the other two will be labeled: Liam, glasses, and the hybrid.
- Ok since book one Liam was a constant presence and he was one of my fun characters that I like, he's always there to support people and never denies them anything.
- I like his relationship with his best friend the bear from the first book, they act like enemies or rivals but in truth they are each other's best friend, I liked the beards reaction when he discovered that Liam was gay and how he would help him when his emotions are in turmoil.
- I liked that even there was a distance between Liam and the hybrid since the beginning of the book because of lies or hidden facts they still patched things up fairly quickly and didn't drag it
- I liked the glasses dude he was mellow or tough when needs be and how he always try to mediate between his partners
- I liked Liam's granddad he was cool XD
- I liked how the granddad showed his love for Liam and named the act after him "Liam's act" I melt from just those words
- I liked how the whole town came together to support Liam and his partners so they won't be separated, especially Rebecca resolve
- I liked how the original two who were with Liam since the beginning of his pride Rian and his friend were with him the emotions that all the members of the pride showed for Liam was very evident
I didn't like this book a lot. I seriously love this series, but there were too many inconsistencies in this one that didn't make any sense.
First off, Sebastian had said he'd reveal the secret later. But then there was talk about adopting children or finding donors. And yet, Sebastian went along with it. So yeah, it was definitely something that you didn't see coming at all... It was so damn random. It took shape-shifting to a whole new level.
Then, Sebastian's mate was Kent, whom Liam had not recognized prior at all, but Liam pursued Kent anyway. I found it odd, as compared with Kate's relationship. Correct me if I'm wrong. It was like a=b, b=c, and so a should also be equal to c.
I didn't like the use of the word 'prick'. There are so many other words for it, you know? And usually I like pop references in books, but there were too many references in this one. So it didn't really work for me.
Ok this is more like 3.5 stars for me. I liked it more in the beginning. I somehow started to lose interest after that off and on. I loved Liam, and was excited for his story. Loved hearing about his background and seeing more of him. Sebastian is a hybrid shifter that had been through hell. Was scared to put himself out there but ultimately he did, to save Rebecca. He knows Liam and Kent are his mates but keeps this to himself. This makes Liam feel a little rejected. Liam is a strong alpha and once he gets past the initial feeling of rejection claims both his mates. Kent was a little harder to “get to know”, but seemed like a great match for them. Sebastian’s past comes back to haunt them all, and the town stands behind them all.
I have been a fan of Alanea Alert since I read the Vanguard series & then fell in love with with the characters of her Bewitched and Bewildered series. And now I find myself addicted to the characters of Arkadia. The characters personality traits and looks come alive as you read about their lives and hardships. I cannot stop reading each book until I have finished it. They are that good. This series is steamer than the Bewitched and Bewildered series though. Which doesn't bother me but wanted to let that be known. Excellent addictive series.
The Rainbow Coalition is at work and helping its members to appreciate one another. In book four we see how the gay couples learn to help and appreciate one another. We can all learn from this story because ‘love conquers all.’ Best multi view of our world and how we need one another to not survive but thrive to be happy.
Good series fun characters I just wish books 5 thru 8 were still available and that other characters in the series would get books I look forward to more stories by Alanea Alder
Another wonderfully naughty and absolutely delightful and action packed paranormal romance adventure story with our friends from the shifter town of Arkadia. I loved it.
I avoided the sex scenes as usual, because TMI. Likeable characters and a satisfying story. The found family is expanding, so I am enjoying all of the interactions between main and side characters.
As expected with this series, another amazing book by Alana Alder. I’ve been waiting for Liam’s book and it does not disappoint. As seen at the end of the previous book, Liam is very upset and angry with his mate, Sebastian for hiding in plain sight and not revealing his identity, for not trusting his mate enough to show his true self. But I love how Liam understands his vulnerability, his insecurities and decides that his love for his mate is much bigger than his pride.
Add to these issues, the lion pride wants Liam to bond with the Alpha mother leading him to believe they don’t trust in him either. Side Note : Rian is crazy on a daily basis , but when push comes to shove, Rian stands tall and gives Liam, his Alpha the support it needs, whether it is in backing his play, not a stern talking to or in his case a shouting at to straighten him and get Liam back on track. And I love that bond!
Sebastian's fear stems not from Liam’s lion, but from his alpha-ness. Having suffered at the hands of a powerful alpha before, but soon Liam and Sebastian open their hearts and love blossoms immediately. And soon they connect with the third, Kent, of the ménage-a-trios relationship and mate happily for life.
Kent is like nerdy hot. Shy mostly, but totally dominant when it counts and it is HAWT!!! Kent is the shy, sensible, calm one, Sebastian is the innocent, sweet and emotional one and Liam is the alpha, protective goof ball, with a heart of gold. Kent is a wonderful mate. He is not in the limelight, but knows what his mates need. The effort he put in to make Liam and Sebastian feel special is just *chef’s kiss*
“Your wonderful mate confided that you and Sebastian needed a little boost. Everyone has things from their past that haunt them. He wanted to celebrate the strength of his mates, who have overcome so much to make your mating work.”
The moments between the three men are a mix of sweet, cute, and hot, but really its their mating bond and togetherness that really took the cake for me.
Just as in real life, there is horrible judgements from people in Arcadia as well, towards the vampires, gays and ménage relationships, but they are handled by Liam very well. He may seem like a goof, but Liam is Alpha in every way that matters, with Kent and Sebastian's support, all his blind spots are also covered.
Liam's grandfather is one of my favorite characters in this book. He is just so warm and funny and indulgent, loving you one minuet and razing on you the next. His dynamics with Liam and then with Sebastian and Kent is just all the family vibes you need.
The background story carries on and of course, not to forget but the hybrids are here, and they are awesome!! Sebastian’s shifts into dangerous animals are way too hilarious and Liam reaction had me in splits and Felix is a carbon copy of Rian just with hybrid tendencies. He is just so... much. Like a tornado on steroids, and I am here for it.
Rebecca’s pregnancy makes for such cute and sweet scenes in the book. All of family taking care od Rebecca and her baby is way to cherish-able. Her performance as a hapless pregnant women who is over emotional is too funny and literally gives you a ‘laugh-out-loud’ moment.
The history of the perimeter and Arcadia is intriguing to say the least and I know that it will have a major impact on the background story for sure. It gives the vibes of ‘history repeating itself’ perhaps.
But there are darker forces are at play, and are now using law as a crutch to separate Sebastian from his mates, due to him being a coveted hybrid, but when you have Rebecca, Liam, Kent and in no small form even Fate defending you, then is there even a chance that evil may conquer?
PS : The closing argument of the case... Brilliant, entertaining, and just plain hilarious, with a dash of righteousness and feel-good factor of socking it to the bad guy. YAAASSS! (That lawyer annoys me)

Personally, I don't enjoy giving "SPOILERS" as a rule, so I believe the general synopsis above or on the book flap if it's a hard copy should give you all the pertinent information you need. I do include the basics under synopsis though. If you'd like to know my overall thoughts & feelings regarding the book or author, please check the "Personal Opinion" section. Also, if this is a book in a series, under "Characters," you'll most likely find a fu-bo list. While reading, authors tend to introduce us to numerous characters and I find I wonder if they will get their own book, so I decided to include this with my review to be helpful. If the character has a fu-bo already out, it will be listed. I will try not to include "SPOILERS" if there are any. And now to my review:
General Synopsis: This the fourth book in Alanea Alder's [Kindred of Arkadia] series, which focuses on the romance between Liam Lewenhart, a lion shifter and Alpha of the Lewenhart pride in Arkadia, Sebastian Wakefield, a hybrid shifter (meaning he can shift into ANY animal he has ever seen! ), who is on the run from a wolf alpha collecting hybrids, and lastly, Kent Fieldings, also a lion shifter. This book DOES focus on a mènage relationship between three men.
Personal Opinion: Before we go into my thoughts, does anyone else notice how long my fu-bo list keeps getting?
SPOILERS (don't read if you haven't read Fated for Forever Kindred of Arkadia 3 ) - At the end of the previous book, we found out Sebastian is a shifter and knew Liam was his mate from their first meeting. I understood both of these characters' points of view at the beginning of this book. Liam is crushed and hurt, feeling Sebastian denied him, and Sebastian is on the run from a vicious wolf alpha and is only now beginning to feel safe in Arkadia. I do think it was resolved too quickly for my tastes, but cannot deny I was happy it was, because this book knocks the series into high gear. So much going on, you feel like you're on a rollercoaster. As fair warning, I have read all the books so far in this series, at the end of this book, you'll feel like the roller coaster ride is over, BUT, at the beginning of the next book, the ride will be thrown back into gear, only this time, you'll be going backwards. Put those hands in the air, scream and begin singing Queen's "We are the Champions." At least that's what I do on roller coaster rides, so do whatever is natural for you. Enjoy the ride!
Another Yummilicious winner in the Arkadia series!!! I swear I am not into MM, or in this case MMM, but Ms Alder sucks me in every time!!! This series just gets better and better!
I have had a serious crush on Alpha Liam from the first book, I was a touch disappointed when I heard he was going to be mated to Sebastian and Kent. This book totally made up for all of that, besides I still have my bears to lust after!
The story this time really moves along and gets into some deep stuff. You will be in tears after hearing the lions' stories. But things lighten up in the matter of a few pages and you will be roaring with laughter!
What I constantly love about this series is seeing the folks we know from past books. I adore Rebecca, she is hands down my favorite character, I see myself in her and that is an awesome thing! And Aleks is a very close second favorite! Their dynamic and interactions in each new book are something I look forward to with each new release. The town is full if other wonderful characters that make each book full and engaging! Arkadia is definitely on my list of towns I wish were real, so I could visit or pick up and move!
We get more backstory and a touch if foreshadowing. I think I have a bead on who the big bad is but time will tell. We were given a lot to think about this book with the council, shifter law, finding out how the barrier came up and the vamps persona non grata. While it was tons of info it did not feel that way, the storytelling had a warm and vibrant feel the whole time.
The steam is holy hotness! Really spicy action, if you are into MM. And with three guys they get rather creative!
I always feel bittersweet at the end of the book, knowing I will have to wait for my next dose of Arkadia. This time I am all a twitter cause the next book is going to be that yummy bear Connor!! Can't wait! I am sure it will be another allnighter for reading!
Alanea Alder had done it once again! I pre-ordered “Fated Forgiveness”, downloaded it the day of release, and FINISHED it in one sitting! The mating of Liam, Sebastian, and Kent is filled with some angst – secrets and personal fears are over come, tears, laughter, but most of all LOVE! Alanea never fails to give readers a great story packed with suspense, laughter, emotion and show how human her shifters and vampires are. To say that this book/series is a MUST read just doesn’t say enough. We also catch up on the previous lead characters in Fate Knows Best, Fated to be Family, and Fated for Forever along with other residents of Arkadia. Needless to say, I hated to reach the dreaded two words on the last page, “The END”; but I am anxiously waiting for the next installment in the Kindred of Arkadia series!
Captivating...YES, I think that's the right word for Alanea Alder's ENTIRE Kindred of Arkadia Series. This amazing series will charm/enchant/entertain/enthrall/seduce and just plain HOOK you!!! FATED FORGIVENESS is the 4th addition to Ms. Alder's Arkadian Family. I have adored Liam since the very first book, and THIS book brings to life so much more than his "hissing spats" with everyone's favorite "grumpy bear"! LOL Ms. Alder's ingenious ability of being able to create heart-wrenching sadness in one paragraph and then laugh out loud humor in the next AND MAKE IT WORK...is completely brilliant! Whether or not you are a die hard MF/MM/MFM/MMF/MMM or WHATEVER type of book you normally read, does NOT matter! I challenge you to give this series a chance. I absolutely guarantee that you will be addicted to the stories, town and people of Arkadia!
The thing about this series is that once you started, you can NEVER stop!!! as I said with the previous book that I don't usually read MM let alone MMM but this was FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!
I mean ... WoOoOoOoOoOoW!!! Can you say HOT!!
I really LOVED Liam's story and all the twists and turns that came with it!
Since the first book I've been all:
if you love a GREAT paranormal Romance then you've got to try this! you wont regret it!
Alanea Alder had done it again!!! I read Fated Forgiveness from start to finish in one sitting, I could not put it down. It took us through the growing relationship of Liam and his mates. It showed the ups and downs of their relationship, through forgiveness. I laughed out loud at their dialog. I also loved getting to meet and know Elder Lachlan. I can tell I will be reading this one again, and soon.
OMG Alanea! I will have to say this by far is the best one out of the series. Laim, Sebastian, and Kent, are so cute and awesome together. I loved their sorry and the fears that all of them went through. The pool scene was so funny, poor Rain. The whole series is great and I love how you add everyone and include them into each book. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to find out what is next for Arkadia!
Regurgitated formulaic crap. I hope this thing was never published in book format because I would cry for the trees wasted so pointlessly.
Didn't Lynn Hagen already write this book? Or was it Stormy Glenn? Maybe Joyee Flynn? Could have been Gabrielle Evans. I get confused since they all blur into one ridiculous book with the same plot and characters with different names.
I'm taking a pass on this author in the future. And this is a Siren book. Why am I not surprised?
