There’s a lot of book here, which is probably not surprising since there are a lot of different plot threads to untangle. When this book started, I was not a fan of Chloe. Her willful disobedience of restrictions that were designed to keep her safe had me seeing red. Too stupid, or stubborn, to live is a pet peeve of mine in any book that has a suspense element to it. Thankfully, as the book progresses we get to know more about what drives Chloe ad I was able to see her past my initial reactions, and I really kind of liked who she turned out to be. I started falling for Ian pretty much from the first moment we met him. I wasn’t a fan of his playboy persona, but that behavior doesn’t last long, which made me very happy. The political thriller aspect of this book reminds me a great deal of Meli Raine’s work; particularly the Harmless and Shameless trilogies.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
