Kathi lives with her husband, kids, grandkids, and dogs in beautiful Lake Tahoe. When she isn't writing, Kathi likes to read (preferably at the beach or by the fire), cook (preferably something with chocolate or cheese,) and garden (planting and planning not weeding). She also enjoys spending time on the water when she's not hiking, biking, or snowshoeing, the miles of desolate trails surrounding her home.
Kathi uses the mountain setting in which she lives, along with the animals (wild and domestic) that share her home, as inspiration for her cozy mysteries.

The Wedding Plan by Kathi Daley is the final book in the Tess and Tilly series. Tess is learning about search and rescue at the beginning of the book when the searchers stumble across a dismembered body. A well crafted plot, surprise wedding plans, a personal loss for Tony and the requisite happy ending. I really enjoyed this series.

Review:

The characters are well developed and well rounded. Tess and Tony are perfect for each other and I enjoy getting to spend time with them. Mike and Bree are having trouble starting a family, and Tess wants to be there for them and help them as much as she can.

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. The mystery was intriguing and kept me engaged throughout the entire book.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. There is so much going on for Tess and Tony and do not want to miss out.

Tess and Tony are trying really hard to pull off a secret wedding with only closest friends and family, but fate has a way of sticking its nose in the middle of things and it is on a roll in this one.

First, an unexpected and very strange discovery during a search and rescue operation turns into a murder investigation that seems to have something to do with Tess's father, causing her to wonder if he is on the side of the angels or of the murderers.

Then getting the wedding arranged with Tony's Nona coming in from Italy and not giving the secret away to anyone proves to be a lot more complicated and emotional than they had expected.

Meanwhile, Tess has just started her new job at the animal shelter and finds herself juggling way too many plates.

The Wedding Plan is a fun, though emotional, mystery with lots of twists and turns.

I highly recommend it.

The Wedding Plan is the tenth book in Kathi Daley’s Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery series. I love all of the wonderful characters as well as the charming setting. Once again, Ms. Daley has provided readers with a clean, fun read, with caring and compassionate characters, intriguing mysteries, and adorable fur babies. The author’s smooth writing style flows at a steady pace, the characters are three dimensional and affable, and the storyline is well-plotted and interesting. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy reading well-crafted cozy mysteries.

Until recently, Tess Thomas and her dog, Tilly, delivered mail in the small community of White Eagle, Montana, but now, Tess is working full-time for Brady Baker, the local veterinarian and shelter owner, at the animal shelter and is in charge of overseeing the basic training for the dogs and placement of the shelter’s residents in forever homes. A major expansion of the shelter is underway that will include permanent housing for hard to place animals, and search and rescue training. When Tess learns that a ten-year-old boy has gone missing, she volunteers to join the search and is present when one of the search and rescue dogs makes a gruesome discovery. Unknown to most of their family and friends, Tess and Tony Marconi are planning their wedding, and Tony’s grandmother, who lives in Italy, is planning to visit them. Tess and her brother, Mike, are looking forward to meeting with their dad, who they once thought to be deceased, and hope to get at least a few answers to their many questions.

The Wedding Plan earns 5/5 Tattoos...Engaging Fun!

Tess Thomas has resigned from her mail carrier position she’d had for ten years, and made a leap of faith by going full-time at the local reinvented animal shelter and going forward to be an active member of a search and rescue team. Tilly is too old to be trained as her S&R partner, so seeking a new, younger, dog is on the “must have” list. Will Tilly, her Golden Retriever sidekick, be content with the changes? Tess volunteered to help with the search for a missing ten-year-old as one who knows the area well, but luck has been elusive. Lizzy and her rescue dog Poppy join Tess in her designated area, and Poppy barks and heads off seemingly having picked up a scent. They follow. However, it isn’t the boy they find; it is an adult who appears to have been purposely dismembered, and like a puzzle, some parts are missing. But Tess recognizes the tattoo on the arm as one she saw years ago on a man who her father knew, a man who died long ago. The missing boy was found safe, so the search was a success in that way, but this body looks like murder, and once again may be linked to Tess and Mike’s father...will they ever get complete answers?

Page-Turner! Kathi Daley has transformed her Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery from a mail carrier to animal activist and search and rescue trainee. This side story offers an interesting book club topic dealing with the impact on our “fur friends” when humans make life changing decisions. Through the ten-book series, the mystery surrounding Tess’s dad has slowing evolved, but this book has it as a key compelling part of this drama, and suspicions, facts, and details are revisited. Kathi Daley’s engaging writing style is descriptive and always includes everyday life to better understand and relate to her characters. The dialogue is informative with conversations to update details about the murder investigation, victims, and various theories, but also to explore ins and outs of the animal shelter, rescuing injured and abandoned cats and dogs, training dogs, introducing a new puppy into the family dynamic, and...Shhhh! personal secrets.

I’m not reading this series in order so I’m missing some things even though Kathi Daley does an excellent job of including the salient facts necessary to understand the story.

There is a perplexing Murder that is difficult to figure out. Tess helps find the body while looking for a missing 10 year old in the forest.

Tess is also looking after the animal shelter while her boss is being trained to have their own search and rescue team. They are also looking for a dog for Tess to be trained for search and rescue, while Tessa is concerned as to how that will affect her dog Tilly.

The major question in the story is weather Tess and Tony will marry.

I’m giving this a 4 because I would have liked more info as to how the missing boy got where he was found, and why the murder victims were killed.

In book 10 of the Tess & Tilly mysteries, it starts off with a missing child. Tess knows the area so she is helping search for the child and they end up with more than the bargained for. When one of the search and rescue dogs heads off barking at something they think is the missing child, they stumble upon a dismembered body.

This is a cozy mystery but I felt like it was a little more graphic than most cozies. Talking about a dismembered body and how body parts are laying around but the head is missing was a bit too much of a visual for me. But even with this the book was very engaging and loved the mystery.

So there is a dismembered body to identify and they find out it is actually the parts from 2 different people & the tattoo on the arm leads them back to Tess & Mike's dad.

In the middle of all of this Tess' & Tilly are planning a secret wedding with just close friends ando family. Tony's grandmother Nona is even planning to come from Italy. And Bree & Mike are still trying to get pregnant. Tony & Tess take in a new family member. Then there is a secret meeting planned with Tess & Mike's dad.

Will they find the Identity of the dismembered bodies? And what happened to them? What is Tess & Mike's dad's connection? Will Tess & Tony's wedding happen on time without a hitch? Did they find the missing child in the woods? Will Bree finally get pregnant and have the baby she is praying for? Do they meet up with their dad?

Lots of mystery and twist and turns that keeps you guessing throughout the book. It is very well written, just like the previous books of the series. The author really knows how to keep the reader engaged throughout her books.

I loved this and recommend all of the Tess & Tilly series.

Plans are in the making for Tess and Tony with a secret wedding coming up and a visit from his beloved Nona. Tess is nervous about meeting Nona but has a new job to keep her busy. As a new member of the search and rescue team, she and another team member come across a dismembered body in the woods while out on a search. Tess is pulled into the investigation as Mike works on it. In addition, Tess and Mike have an important decision to make.

Kathi Daley does not disappoint. I love this series and this book is no exception. This book is well-written with well-rounded characters and relationships that are well-done. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. There were a lot of twists and turns and surprises along the way as I read the book. You'll be pulled into the town with all its residents and be right there with Tess and the others. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.

Thank you Kathi Daley for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own. I love this series and the characters and dogs. It’s been fun to see Tess’s evolution in both her career and her personal life. Tess is starting her new job learning to train search and rescue dogs, planning her own secret wedding to Tony, her brother Mike and Bree's baby desires, and getting a search and rescue dog of her own. Of course there is a mystery that Tess also jumps into. I do recommend starting the series from the beginning so that you can understand the part of the story that is ongoing. Each book does have an ending – it’s just that the mystery surrounding Tess and Mike’s father is ongoing.

Tess and Tony have decided to get married, but not in the way her Mum or best friend Bree would like, so they're keeping it a secret. However, as with everything else in White Eagle, nothing goes to plan.

A body is found in the woods, and nothing adds up, who is it? Does it have anything to do with the ongoing, underlying storyline which runs through all this series, Tess and Mike's Dad?

These books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.

I really enjoy reading these books, and if you're a fan of small town cozy mysteries with a touch of romance and alot of friendship thrown in, then these are the books for you.

I've read other cozy mystery series by the same author, and they're just as good as this series.

Another great episode in the life of Tess and Tony and family!

The Wedding Plan is the tenth fantastic episode in the Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery series. This book is filled with the elements of a cozy mystery including suspense, romance, love, friends and family, and a sense of community.

I love the way Ms. Daley writes in a continuing saga fashion with hints and clues to stories in the future (and red herrings). I love that not all questions are resolved in each book. As always, her writing flows smoothly, and her setting and relatable characters make for an extremely enjoyable read. I am looking forward to the next book in this series!

There are several murders in this book. Oddly enough, they are all questionable in motive.

Tess finds her new position gives her the flexibility she desires as well as allowing her time with the animals she loves. Her new job will fulfill her heart much more than being a letter carrier ever could.

Tony gets some bad news and Tess and Mike are able to understand why their Dad chose the life he lives. It is not easy for anyone yet it is necessary as they realize. Bree and Mike are also under stress within their marriage.

Cannot wait fo the next book to see if Tess certifies for SAR.

Tess really does some questionable things in this. Her attitude sometimes frustrates me. A few long time arcs in the series come to at least a closure of sorts. I'm not certain the "missing dad" angle is finished but it does have a bit of resolution. It's taken up most of the series so I'm glad to see some changes. I'm guessing the Search and Rescue build up may take up more soon. It would be a good change. While there are hiccups to the plans, the wedding does happen. There is a different sad outcome that was a bit unexpected. I can take a break from this one for a bit.

Even the best laid plans tend to go astray. Tess and Tony plans for a secret wedding does not quite go as plan as Nora also plans a secret visit. Thrown in a meeting of her supposedly dead father what could possible go wrong.

Tess begins her new job and there is a new family member into the mix. Two bodies are found nearby in a search and rescue mission as she gets involved.

It is just another week in the life of Tess. An enjoyable read.

This is one of the series that I love to read , Tess is no longer a mail carrier and works at the animal shelter and is part of the search ans rescue team. She still enjoys sleuthing on the who done its. In this book she is planning her wedding to Tony. In this book he has to go because Nona has had a heart attack. She doesn't make it. They still get married just a tad bit delayed but still the simple one that they planned.

The wedding plan. Kathi Daley

Tess and Tony are still planning on their surprise wedding. Tess is getting more nervous by the day. They are waiting for Nona to arrive from Italy. Will she like Tess? Then while looking with a search group she finds a gruesome discovery. Is it linked to her dad? Will he show? What’s going on? Now what’s happened to Nona??

Love this series! Well Tess and Tony are trying to have a secret wedding and Mike & Bree are trying to have a baby.
Tess finds a body while out looking for a lost child. A new dog joins the family to train as part of the search & rescue team that Tess is joining . Of course Tess & Mike’s Dad shows up at some point. The Dad is still a big mystery.

Cozy Queen Writes Another Winner

I love the Tess and Tilly series. So happy Tess found Tony. Tess also founded the dog shelter and is quick to help any abused animal. She is also founding a local search and rescue team. On a rescue search for a missing ten year old boy, she finds a body in pieces plus a left arm from a different person. Another mystery to be solved.

Tess, Tony and Mike are still trying to find out what happened to her father. They make the meeting with a man they hoped would be him but isn't. He warns them to stop looking into what happened. It is too dangerous. They solve a murder or two. Tess & Tony have their marriage plans postponed but eventually it comes about. Tess has a new pup for search and rescue.

I started out liking this book for the most part, but by the end I just felt let down. I know the author has further developments in the ongoing plotlines in store, so I will continue reading. I recommend that these books be read in order, but the author does a good job of summarizing previous happenings for those of us who miss a book here and there.

So sorry Tess never gets to meet Nona.

Tony lost the only tie he had to his family but now he has Tess, the love of his life, as Tony is for Tess. Glad her Dad was there for the wedding and he brought them a way to stay in touch, in case of an emergency.

What is next for my friends?? Looking forward to the next book...
