The primordial waters, full of algae and unicellular organisms... Not quite how one would imagine the end of the world, is it? The goal is to evolve and reach the land. Use your teeth, claws, stings, and whatever else you deem appropriate to take down your opponents and survive in the New World.
Dan used to work at the Psychic Agency, making a living by swindling naive clients. One day, however, this came to a sudden halt. A group of thugs paid him a visit and took him away. As if that wasn't bad enough, the world had decided that it had had enough of us humans.
After that day, humanity was no more. Those who survived the Apocalypse have been forced to fight for their lives.
Dan, to his misfortune, didn't become a gray-bearded wizard he had always hoped to be. Little did he know that he'd be forced to start his new life from the very beginning.
Perhaps he should have paid more attention in biology class.
Too weird to really be enjoyable. The MC wasn't very relatable, none of the other characters stood out. The end goal that only one faction can survive makes no sense. Especially when you consider others had been there for years. We have no idea who is helping the MC or why. I just really didn't like it.
It was a lot like watching someone play the video game 'Spore'. After three and a half hours (out of about eight for the book total) I realized I didn't give a crap about any of the characters, their struggles, etc and gave up on it.
First, my review: “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”
Second, I am not a bot...at least I don’t think I am. Yes this is copy pasta (just learned that term, so fun!) simply because I feel like any book I read deserves acknowledgement but at the same time my feelings on reviews conflict with the normal review process.
I enjoyed this book, so my goal is to promote it and help the author. If you are a potential reader, just stop reading now and take the above as all you need to know. I am not going to share my reasoning, thoughts on the book, or any opinions that would influence your decision to read it. It is my opinion that Art needs to be experienced at an individual level. You are the only one that can determine what you like and don’t like. Don’t let others make that decision for you. You should definitely read the book and completely ignore all of the reviews. Or not if you don’t think this book is for you. That choice is all yours and the beauty of art appreciation. You are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here.
If you are a member of the IAK Guild (thanks, Jason) or part of the review police, feel free to criticize me and challenge my philosophy on reviewing art. I think we all love a good debate. The forums are open and I welcome your comments. I was wrong in my previous request to get you to stop. Your blatant disregard for that request has led to some fun discussions. Growth is important for us all.
I am thoroughly impressed with this book! The concept of someone dying and being reborn in a video game styled world as a single celled organism reminds me very much of the scourge series by DW Belfield. Similar to the scourge series, the main character dies and is reborn through a twist of fate as a tiny organism that must adapt and evolve through a series of leveling. Unlike the scourge series however, this one is highly centered around the lit RPG genre. The idea of leveling, evolution, skills, and abilities are centered around a concept of evolving from the literal beginnings. The dialogue in this book as well done, the world building is absolutely fantastic, and the characters are well written with depth and uniqueness. I am thoroughly impressed with this book and cannot wait to read the next one.
The one thing i always complain about is wrong words and spelling. There are several here. Ok as far as the story, when i started reading i wasn’t too interested in a story about single celled creatures. Several times I just about gave up but the main character actually turns out to be a pretty likable guy and the story is well written and it won me over. Hopefully there will be more books to come. The ending was a great cliff hanger and I want to know what happened. This was an interesting and original take on litrpg and i am glad I stuck with it
So the world ends, select few get a restart and evolve in a grand battle royal. Please note that this book is a translation ; as such the character’s’ mentalities and sentence phrasing may seem odd at times. It’s is a wonderfully complex tale with a few twists and turns that are hard to follow. It can be polished a bit more for a smoother, clearer read, but all in all it was a fun novel. Enjoy.
The story starts off with a typical framework kind of end of the world deal… That’s a well worn strategy, but here the execution is very poor… Basically the guy was no redeeming qualities, isn’t overly concerned about the end of the world or where he’s going, just except seven goes along for the ride… And it gets more disjointed from there
I hope this works out... I've been saying that a lot with these random reads recently...
There is a lot of confusion regarding size in this book, but disregarding the stats, it was somewhat entertaining.
I don't know why I'm reading all these books about aliens that are kidnapping us humans and attaching "stats machines" to us, but most have been able to pass the time.
I've read several stories about evolving from lesser organisms, but I enjoyed this the most. The faction dynamics and internal power struggle was most interesting. Additionally, the battles were written well and the litrpg system made sense. I only would've liked a little less plot armor for the MC. I await more in the series
The story was enjoyable, but the main character and plot were pretty straight forward and fairly predictable. My main problem is the lack of editing. Simple stuff like misspelling a word or using the wrong word (like autocorrect changed it). If the author got a good editor it would probably get 4 stars. Overall it’s worth a read.
Picked this up and struggled to put it back down. The world and system was easy to follow leading to an enjoyable read that makes you want to turn the page to find out what happens next. Thank you for translating this and putting it on Kindle Unlimited. I will be watching/waiting for the next book.
If you've played the game spoor on steam, then you'll be right at home with this LitRPG offering. It's an interesting take on the genre, and one I can't entirely get behind, but it's interesting enough anyway, and I suspect most LitRPG fans will find it at least unique if nothing else.
Fast pace great evolution development. No mopey long winded " I died and left so much behind, boo hoo" world ends reincarnated as a single cell organism fight to survive and evolve to mammal with a 100 others and build a civilization.
This is gamelit book with an actual original story/plot/concept what ever. I won't say any more, but ignore the cover and series name. Its not the best gamelit novel, but better than most, and the fact that its a new concept in the over saturated genre is pretty amazing.
This book was a lot of fun. It's kind of an interesting take on the apocalypse genre. Most people will like it, but it won't be for everyone. If you are unsure, just read the sample.
I read this book in one day, I started at work and read at every opportunity as it pulled me in and kept me till it was over now I really want the second one 😥
