Who doesn't like to curl up with a good book? I certainly have, for as long as I could remember. Next to books, I loved movies just as much, especially if it had action and suspense. No surprise then that I'm now writing romantic suspense, and inspirational stories! I'm grateful to the Lord Jesus for His undeserved mercy and grace. I earned a Masters' Degree in International Affairs from American University, Washington DC; and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Professionally, I've been honored with multiple awards for pioneer academic research, student leadership and overall excellence. I'm a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers(ACFW) organization. I pen stories during evenings, weekends, and whenever the food takes too long to cook. Despite the many hurdles I've faced in life, God has been crazy faithful! I live in the beautiful State of Maryland.

I loved this, especially the first few books. There was a problem with the last one though. It was a good story, but when the main character, Sharon, gets to a "Worthy" conference, I had a major problem with parts of the "sermon" and was really afraid that I was seeing the end of what I thought till then was a great book. The sermon made it sound like the author was part of the name it and claim it group, thinking all we have to do is pray and of course God will give us whatever we want. While the sermon sounded that way, the rest of the story didn't play out that way, so I was able to enjoy it. But just as I finished the last page, I was very upset to discover that the author had one of Sharon's brothers reenter the story for the last couple of pages, just so she could end the book with a cliffhanger. I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!! In fact a cliffhanger guarantees I won't get the next book. At least the main story was finished though, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I still enjoyed every one of the books, so still giving it 5 stars.

This set of books came from a Christian author, and this showed all the way through. It was good to read so much without any hint of blasphemy, or any other unacceptable language. There were a number of passages highlighted as being good to quote.
The first book would, on its own, have received a 5-star rating. However, I found Book 2 to be a bit on the boring side, and would only have awarded it 4 stars. The remaining three books were just too predictable, and I found myself skimming a lot of pages. I would only give them 1 star each. My 3-star rating for the set is a generous average.
As a self-publishing author myself, I was particularly disappointed in Book 3. At the beginning, I thought that I was going to pick up some tips for self-publishing authors. I did - but the cost of implementing them would probably be more than the cost of using an established publisher to market my books (all teaching books re. the Christian faith).
Sorry that I cannot, in all honesty, be more positive.

Inspirational. Great read!
I love this boxed set. It was so inspirational and helped me in my Christian walk. I prayed many of the prayers for my own life. I definitely loved the sermons from the Worthy Conference!
However, there were a few plot holes. After the story of the author who was writing his story that included Asia Bancroft....to have her come into the story as a real person was unbelievable. You cant read about her being created in one story as fictional...then make her as a real person in the next story. That kind of messed up the flow. And Debbie? She had such a traumatic entry to the story to have her pretty much left out for the rest of it? It just seemed a little messy.

The stories in this set are interconnected but each could be read as a stand-alone. Each story features a MC and supporting characters facing serious challenges both internal and external that allow spiritual and physical growth - if the person listens and conforms to God’s will instead of being consumed by their own desires or fears. The set contains deeply inspirational scriptures, stories, poems and songs.
Although it was my pleasure to receive this free book from the author, it was completely my choice to share my honest review.

One of the most spiritually inspiring series I've ever read! "After 3" especially has a couple of sermons that inspired my faith and got me studying what I believed and how to more align me with the Word. The plots and stories are great and the writing is concise and holds your attention. I highly recommend this series even more so than her other books I've read (The few others I've read are great also)

After the battle, new beginnings
I loved these five books! After every bad decision, God gives each of us a second chance. He ALWAYS has an After for everyone. He gives us every opportunity to let HIM roll away the impossible stone so that He can bless the receiver with a greater outcome than we can ever imagine. Thank you, Joy, for these books.

Wonderful Christian novels
These 5 books are stand alone stories, but are continuations. I appreciate this. Great stories that will bring both tears of joy and sorrow. I must admit that at a few occasions in each story I was tempted to page ahead impatiently, but always came back and read through. Recommend to both believers and nonbelievers.

Great read
Wow! Loved this box set. Especially the last story of Sharon and Ash. This was not only inspiring, but filled with so much Scripture that spoke directly to my heart. Reminders that God is always in control.

I enjoyed reading these sets of books.They are inspirational and interesting. Each story ,the characters are facing challenges that are internal and external,but if they put their trust in God they would over come the challenges. Thanks Joy .You renew my faith in God.

Amazing
I did not know this author and almost didn't buy the book. What I would have missed! If you need encouragement in your faith walk, if you need uplifting, if you need spiritual guidance and enlightenment, this is the book series for you. The characters in the different stories provide inspiration, inspire hope and this read is soul satisfying. I was moved to tears by the depth of Christian love and understanding in these books. Going to buy Abundant Hope 2!
