Amaryllis Romance #1
The Summer Tour
In the ten years I’ve spent touring and building this franchise with my brothers, not a single person has ever stood out in the crowd. It’s impossible to tell one face from the next when I’m up there. The mixture of fog, lights, flashing lasers, my astigmatism, and whatever else they put into the air to keep the crowd happy… It’s all just a mix for a big bunch of blurry fuzzy whatnots.
She was not a whatnot.
She stood out in her ripped black jeans and that adorable neon yellow thing holding her hair up out of her face. I don’t even know what it’s called, but it was perfect.
She was perfect.
The bright pink tank top that hugged her in all the right places. Those bright yellow heels that made her back curve in just the right way. Those were definitely factors that caught my eye, but it's not why I can't get her out of my head. Her dark brown eyes and that smile—her smile.
That’s it.
That smile had me hooked from the second I ran on stage. I even stopped short of my mark and totally threw off the spotlight tracker.
Why?
Because I was too busy watching her and how she just fell into the rhythm of the music. It’s a good thing Chuck didn’t plan any pyro for tonight, or I might have been screwed.
I’m not even entirely sure I sang the right lyrics to the first couple of songs. It was more a series of barely audible grunts, caveman style. Nash probably turned his mic up to help with the background vocals. They’ve all gotten really good at covering my ass over the years. I’m grateful the crowd didn’t seem to notice. All I could think about was trying to figure out a way to find out who she is.
I still have nothing.
So I’m sitting here like a lost, lonely little puppy just hoping to catch another glimpse.
What if she leaves and doesn’t come through the line?
I can see both Exit doors from here.
I’m watching those two doors like a pitbull watches the gate at a junkyard.
Maybe I am a lost, lonely little puppy.
No.
I am a pitbull puppy.
And just like that pitbull, I will jump this table and bulldoze whoever gets in the way if I have to.

I felt that that London was terribly insecure, to the point of annoyance. It would have been nice to see Griffin have a semblance of a back bone when it came to her overreactions. I understand he fell in love with her, but she treated him horribly. She jumped to so many conclusions and was just completely unfair.

Good plot idea, had potential, needs rewrite
The plot really had potential. There were places in the story that drew me in.
However, a rewrite is badly needed. The story is reads like an American author or tourist who is into bad British/United Kingdom “culture”. Some of the guys are named Nigel, Nash, Griffin, Adair for example (although Adair is a Scottish surname). The southerner female lead, from Tulsa OK, is named London. Griffin makes comments in a bad British accent a few times. And there was one weird comment about him being into medieval knights early on. No idea where that morphed out of. This whole thing just plays out strangely. It was just distracting through the ENTIRE story.
London’s last name was written as James a couple times and then Quinn, the rest of the time. Who the heck actually edited this? Fire the editor. How could you not catch this? Even flipping through pages, this just stood out.
London was a really whiny character. She had potential early on and then got to be just flat out annoying. She was so weak in character. Griffin should have dumped her (seriously get to the last several weeks that she was ignoring, giving him the cold shoulder). Griffin, where is your self esteem??
Griffin picking out a Christmas romance movie was kind of dumb and not necessary to a believable plot. Between that and crying, he seemed to get more girlie than the female lead.
“The Machine” was odd. It is unclear if that was supposed to be the name of the record label. I was flipping pages and didn’t want to go back to see if that was the case. It was represented in the story like some big bad bogeyman.
I think my favorite is when it was written that a missed encore in Tulsa would ruin/destroy any band. 🤣🤣🤣. That was stupidly hilarious.
There were areas I would have liked to see expanded like when the band was in concert and when music was involved.
I would be surprised if anything by this author would be any better if stuff like this is published. This is going to be returned. I won’t ever read this again.
It had potential. It needs to be badly rewritten. It’s a shame because it could have been a better story.

The Summer Tour: A New Adult Contemporary Rockstar Romance by Mandy Melanson was a sweet little contemporary romance. This book took me a little bit to get into it. Once I did, I enjoyed it for what it was, a simple sweet book about rockstar that wasn't like the others, and a single mom needing to secure a future for her son.
Honestly, I thought the book would have a bit more passion in it. The cover has a shirtless, chiseled rockstar on the front, and honestly, that didn't connect with "sweet" to me. It was almost too sweet? It was hard to believe that the most major rockstar in the country has absolutely zero interest in the rockstar life. I can imagine a story of a tired rockstar ready to settle, a rockstar who reluctantly (at first) starts to care about the new keyboardist. But, his sudden need to pick her out of the crowd and call her adorable was a mismatch for me and why it was hard to get into.
The characters had a good amount of depth to them. Griffin was clearly into London from the very start and his care of her feelings and needs later is much more believable with his sweet mentality from the start. I appreciated all of the side characters, Adair, Nash, Travis, Carly, Devon, Isobel, and definitely cute little Carter. I love when authors ensure their characters are real without being a fake sort of real. Carter is on the spectrum, but Melanson doesn't portray him as a caricature, rather a real kiddo with a need for more attention and care.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes their romance novels with more handholding and hugging than passionate bedtime shenanigans. I imagine Adair's book The Unexpected Duet: A Second Chance Rockstar Romanceis going to be just as cute!

This was such a fun, lighthearted romance with plenty of chemistry, humour, and that irresistible feeling of falling for someone completely unexpectedly. 🎶❤️
The premise immediately pulled me in. After ten years of touring with his brothers, the hero is used to seeing countless faces in the crowd without giving any of them a second thought. Then he spots her and suddenly the entire concert might as well disappear.
I absolutely loved how instantly captivated he was. The fact that she manages to distract him so badly that he loses his place on stage had me laughing. 😂 He’s supposed to be the experienced performer who has everything under control, yet one woman in the audience turns him into a completely smitten, slightly ridiculous puppy.
And honestly? That was adorable.
The attraction between them is what initially catches his attention, but it’s clear pretty quickly that there’s something about her personality and that unforgettable smile that really gets under his skin. I enjoyed watching his determination to find her again and seeing where that unexpected connection could lead.
The touring and music setting also gave the story a fun atmosphere. There’s something about romance surrounding a band on tour that automatically brings opportunities for chaos, excitement, close proximity, and plenty of entertaining moments.
The Summer Tour is a cute, entertaining romance with a charming hero, an intriguing heroine, plenty of laughs, and a great music tour backdrop.
If you enjoy romances where the hero gets completely blindsided by love and goes from confident performer to hopelessly determined puppy, this one is definitely worth picking up. 🎤💕

I usually avoid rockstar romances because they can be a little cheesy, and predictable... but I jumped at the chance to read this one by a debut author and I was not disappointed.
Griffin comes off as bad boy but he’s not, he’s the heart and soul of his band and his family and that right there makes the girls (and readers) swoon. But since years of being in a rock band make all the faces blur together you know a girl is special when she’s the one that stands out. Enter London , She’s recently dumped she’s a single mom she’s full of anxiety and overthinking which makes her a very true to life and likable person. Yes I said she comes off as a person a friend even though I’m not a character in a book let alone not your stereo typical falling apart woman and a romance novel. She’s recently dumped, she’s a single mom ,she’s full of anxiety and overthinking, which makes her a very true to life and likable person. Yes, I said she comes off as a person... a friend, not a character in a book, let alone not your stereo typical ,falling apart ,woman in a romance novel Who needs rescuing.
The chemistry is real, the conversations are real, the “what ifs” are real.
More books in this series? Yes please! A fantastic debut from a new, soon to be leader, in romance novels.

Griffen lead singer of Amaryllis has lived life on a tour buss for 10 years but now hes getting board with the life he wants more but he doesn't want to disappoint anyone. Then he sees her shes in the audience at his Tulsa concert and hes got to find out who she is.
London I win tickets to rock concert for a band i have never listened too. Next thing I know the lead singer is pursuing me and I just landed a 90 day tour with the band my son and bestfriend Issy this is going to blow up in my face. Griffin is different from his image and were falling for each other till my past catches up with me.
This was a sweet read light on the steam Griffin is so sweet and caring London well she iritated me at times because she wouldn't listen to anyone yes she is a mom of a gifted little boy and other reasons but she could be a little to mutch with the attitude with Griffin. But this is a good read and I'm excited to read the rest of the series.

London is a single mom and when she is left at the altar by her fiance it ends up sending her ona life changing experience. She ends up winning tockets to the Amaryillis. During the concert Griffin the lead singer for the band is drawn to a sexy woman in the crowd. Its not long before Griffin goes after her to claim as his own. London is hesitant because of how she just got hurt by her last relationship. Will they find a way to be together? Or will it just be a temporary thing between them?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and who doesn’t love a gorgeous rockstar falling for a single mum. London is a single mum who was jilted at the church by her ex, she accidentally butt dials a radio station and she wins tickets to a concert to see the band Amaryllis with her best friend Isobel. Griffin is the lead singer of Amaryllis and at the beginning of his concert he spots a beautiful woman in the mosh pit and from there he knew that she was his Rockstar Cinderella his one. There is so much going on in this story but that’s all I’m going to give you, fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I thought it was a cute story of instant connection and being in the right place at the right time!
Griffin, the rock star, is immediately attracted to London, a single mom. It is a great light read, so I am looking forward to the rest of the series, especially because it will be great to see some characters change.
However, like all books, one character has to be a little hesitant/lack self confidence in order to slow things down. However, London was a bit too much at times. She would switch between having a will of iron to feeling bad for herself because she didn’t think Griffin could like her back.

“The sincerity of his smile and the warmth of his eyes makes me think I could resign myself to having a beautiful moment with this man, even if it is only a moment.”
A sweet rockstar romance with a happy ending, that was easy to read. I found myself wanting more from some of the other characters who left me intrigued. London’s bestie Isobel and Devon stood out as the stars even though this was not their story. The banter between brothers had me giggling as I was pulled into thoughts off my own four sons. Unfortunately, nothing stood out to make me remember this book for years to come, which was a little disappointing. I’m looking forward to reading Adair and Carly’s story.

This was an enjoyable rom-com romance story I'd read. The characters were wonderful and entertaining. The storyline was a cute read about Griffin a rockstar in the band Amaryllis and London a single mom with her son, Carter. Griffin is on stage when a woman catches his attention in the front row. London won a radio contest for front row tickets to the Amaryllis show. London and her friend Isobel are enjoying the show and wait in the autograph line when Griffin finds out her first name. When the crowd demands an encore, and their keyboardist was plastered, London a classical pianist takes his place. Will this be a start of a romance?

This is a story about Griffin who is lead singer of Amaryllis. They are hot and been touring for a long time. One night he spots London in the crowd, he is so taken with her he is messing up his singing. He has to have her. I love the way the Griffin and London were portrayed . This was an incredible relationship. I fell in love with both of them. The story took me on a journey that was worth the ride. Great book!

This was my first read from this author. I love reading rockstar stories and this was an incredible one. I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the rocker himself. First person point of view is always a deal breaker for me. Amazing story and I will definitely read more from this author in the future. If you like reading about rockers this one is for you.

Sweet, sweet read
What an enchanting fairy tale story. Wasn't certain I would finish it, but the more I read the further I fell in love with all the characters.
I am really looking forward to the other books in this series.
P.S. if you're wondering.....there are no sex scenes, just a sweet story.

Wow
I must say I love London and Griffin. In the story I laughed, I cried, and I had every feeling in between. In my eyes that makes an amazing story. I love how strong London is and protective of Carter. She is a mom that does everything for her child. I can’t wait for more in this series

Well had potential
I couldn't stand London. She was heartless and cruel. The way she treated Griffin she hated violence yet she hit him and kicked him when she barely knew him. I felt sometimes Griffin wasn't much of a man to let a woman treat him like that. It was hard to get behind the characters as the story just fell flat. Hope the next book is better.

I am not sure exactly what to expect. I thought more over the top band members, crazy antics. But seriously this was amazing!!!!
I have so much to say but can't without giving too much away!

Griffin isn't your typical rock star. He doesn't sleep around, he would give up the rock style life in a heartbeat if so many people weren't relining on him.
London hasn't have much luck when it comes to men, so Griffin has his work cut out for him.
