Shock #2

The Truth

Rate this book
After Katie learns that her brother was killed in an ambush while heading to Moss Creek, she begins to realize that a copycat killer is on the loose. She doesn’t have time to think about who might have taken her brother’s place as the Shock Killer, or taken her brother’s life before she receives a packet of newspaper clippings from the prison where her brother had resided.
The packet refers directly to third victim of the Shock Killer. As Katie and the team of law enforcement officers dig deeper to learn what went on, a killer is determined to make sure they don’t find out the clue that Robert wanted his sister to learn.

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written murder mystery adventure thriller short story book two A Gripping Mystery Suspense Medical Thriller by Marc Timms. She goes to town and the sheriff station. Her bother is on the way from Federal Prison but he does not arrive. She goes home. The sheriff comes to inform her that her brother is died. Continued in book three. I would recommend this series of novellas to readers or action novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading. 2022 👒😢⌚

Interesting, Fast Moving Series

As this is a series, I will leave the same review for each book. The first book certainly captured my attention. The plot is interesting and very fast moving; however, I do feel as if Timms (author) easily gave away the killer which only left the reader to find out whether or not Katie's brother was actually innocent or not. Overall, a good series. I'm giving this 3 stars due to the grammar and editing throughout the book. Although I realize this series is self-published, someone who professes to love creative writing and proceeds to write multiple series, should take pride in their work. To use words incorrectly, and basically not proofread your "baby" prior to publishing is lazy. Spellcheck is right at your fingertips and I'm quite sure there was someone who would have volunteered to proofread the final copy before print. I cut zero slack for sloppy writing because HE IS IN FACT A WRITER!

This was a fantastic read. I highly recommend the series, however, it is best to read the 5 books one after the other. This series could have been written in one book since each book is about 4 or 5 chapters. This was a wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well-defined characters and found them believable. I hope there are more books in this series.

Katie's brother was convicted of being a serial killer who ended up in prison. While in prison, a copycat killer started killing people who knew her and her brother. As Katie tries to call up her memories of her brother and his friends to help locate the identity of the next victim, killings continue to occur. It seems the copycat killer was always one step ahead of everyone. There were twists and turns; uncertainty who to believe, and a relationship starting to build between Katie and the sheriff.

I loved the story. Katie finds herself alone in the world. Her parents have passed away and her only other relative, her brother, was just murdered. Her bother was in prison for serial murder and was murdered during a prison transfer. Things start happening a little too close to home - a murder of someone she knew, that worked at her house. While trying to help police solve the case, she receives mail sent to her from her brother in prison prior to his death. Katie searches for the truth! Read the book to see how the story progress. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I received a free copy in exchange for a review.

This series of books had me gripped from the get go.

SUSPENSE, THRILLER AND A BIG TWIST TOWARDS THE END.

The sister of a serial killer, trying to live off the grid and away from the shape of her brother, all is well until bodies start to turn up dead in and around her property!

Is she killing people and following in her brothers footsteps or is there a copy cat killer?

When her brother is killed on his way to talk about the case, no one can believe it, why would someone kill the man who was tried for the previous murders.

Who has more access to the files and evidence then anyone else? Are the police all they seem?

This is Book 2 of 5 in this serial mystery. This book doesn't offer much more in the storyline. Mostly recapping the first book. The synopsis tells the added events. There are even more unanswered questions now. Why did Robert send Katie the clippings of one of the murders? Who broke into her house to find them? Or were they looking for something else? Will she find anything of interest in Robert's diary? Three more episodes to find out.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I loved it. Just as Katie thinks she is safe. More murders occur that are similar to the ones her brother is serving time for. As she uncovers more clues, she realizes that there is more going on than she thought. I read it in one sitting...gripping characters that you want to spend time with. I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.

The second book in the Shock series had a little mor action and intrigue. Who would want the serial killer dead before he made it to the Sheriff’s office? Also why would Katie’s brother send her mail from the prison. This one had a few twists and turns. My only problem is the books are too short and end abruptly. On to book 3, I don’t think books 4 or 5 have been written yet.

Katie's brother is dead, murdered in the prison van bringing him to her town.

Someone, the copycat or someone else, didn't want Robert talking to his sister. Why? Who broke into Katie's home looking for the envelope of clippings she received from Robert? When found guilty, Robert professed his innocence. Could he have been telling the truth?

A satisfying second installment.

This continuation of Shock leaves you with more questions than answers, but the character development is very good. I'm looking forward to the next three. Highly recommended.

I'm still hooked and enjoying the mystery. My only issue... The brother's name in book 1 is Clayton but now it's Robert?

I don’t think I like the cliffhanger and the short books. It was pretty good but way too short. I want more

This book was not my cup of tea. Why is it a novella/series of short stories? It could be written as one book and I think it would be pretty good. Because it’s a collection of novellas, I have to give it a low rating.
