Royal Matchmaker #1

Who knew choosing the wrong woman could feel so right?

Most people think being royal is all about money, power, and fame.
When really, it’s more about public service, hard work, and doing what’s expected.

My father, the king, is not in the best of health, so I’m supposed to get married, and continue the royal line. I have little dealings with women in general, so I hire a matchmaker to vet some candidates.

Then one evening, in a room filled with suitable future queens, I discover her.

Lisabet Olinescu.

The haunting notes emanating from her cello, that gorgeous mane flowing wildly down her back, those deeply expressive eyes—they awaken something in my soul.
She brings colors to my world I’ve never seen before, and I know I must have her.

The fact that she’s not interested in becoming a queen is but a minor detail.

I’ll stop at nothing to make her mine.

And who knows? Maybe she is fiery enough to melt my stone cold heart.

Audiobook
Narrator: Did not like the accent of the female lead. Did not recognize the accent. It was really odd. Like a speech impediment.

This story is so much fun to read. It didn't run like other royal and commoner match ups I've read in the past. It has sweet and steamy scenes.
If you like early Susan Mallery stories, this is the book for you. The relationships make you think and you definitely fall in love with the characters.
I even enjoyed it when not everything goes the way I would have liked.
Grab a glass of wine, take a seat, and get ready to take a trip to Oxland. Check out what happens when a common cellist plays for a prince.

This is the first book in the Royally Matchmaker series and if it is saying anything I am looking for each journey that will be told.

Miles is a charming Prince that is a true sweetheart and a gentleman. Being pressured to marry, he agrees to meet with a few women that are thought to be the level for a Queen instead of love. But when his heart falls for Lisabet, a cellist, will his father approve? Will Lisabet give him a chance?

Their story is a sweet one that will have you swooning.

Royally Matched: A Royal Forbidden Romance
Royal Matchmaker, Book 1
By: Mckenna James
Narrated by: Addison Barnes

Mckenna James always leaves me in love with her heroes! I love listening to her stories, knowing I am going to give my heart away and get all the feels I enjoy while listening! This is the first book in her Royal Matchmaker series and it's fantastic! Maybe because I love music, play an instrument and would love the prince to see me like he saw Lisabet. Lisabet is a cellist and Prince Miles sees her perform, he is immediately taken with her. Being next in line for the throne has it's responsibilities, and now being pressured to marry, he is set on making Lisabet his wife. But will his family approve? Will Lisabet want to marry into royalty? This is a swoony, loving story and I couldn't help but love Miles! Sweet and warm, he is almost perfect. Lisabet is a good match, love her hesitancy as her past gets in her way. It's an easy, fun listen and the matchmaker, Caroline, just makes you want to grab book 2 and see what is going to happen next!

Addison Barnes narrates with her amazing voices. I love her, as she always tunes into her characters and brings out all their attributes. Each voice distinct and easy to know who is speaking, she gives us the feeling we are abroad and living their lives. A wonderful listen.

Lisabet and Manuel’s

This is your fairy tale story of prince meets cellist and called in love. miles is supposed to choose a couple ice he has enlisted Caroline who runs a match making company for royals and rich. The problem is the only person who catches his eyes is Lisabet who is playing the cello at the event. He manages to track her down after she runs away and finds a way to have her New York Golden Philharmonic’s tour stop in his country first so he can see her. Lisabet is a talented checklist and beautiful but she is down in her luck with a horrible ex husband who slept with her best friend and racked up a ton of bills for her. She is flattered by the princes attention but doesn’t feel she is good enough.
After Miles chases her and woo’s her she finally give in to her attraction for him. They have some steamy passionate moments but they also have drama and scandal. Will they be able to over come her past and his future to be king.
This book is written very good you can feel the pain and happiness. Cry tears of joy and sorrow. .
I also had the audible but I did not enjoy the audible as much as the book.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

She can make sweet music but will she make it with her Prince

Royally Matched is the first book in the Royal Matchmaker series and if this book in any indication of what is to come with the series then it will be sweet, charming, romantic and perfectly enjoyable.
This first book is the story of Lisabet and Miles. Miles is a Prince whose father, the King, is not doing well health wise. Because of this he must get married and a Royal Ball is thrown to bring together all the eligible women, talk about a cattle call in this day and age. But Miles is not interested in any of the proper pedigreed women. Instead there is a woman who he is interested in, the cellist from the band at the gala. Lisabet however is not so quick to jump at the chance to become the Queen to Miles's King in waiting. Nope she is ready to run the other way as she is just off a failed marriage. The only problem is that she does like Miles as he continues to pursue her. He most definitely wants to be her Prince Charming.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This is the first book in the Royal Matchmaker series. From what I've seen in this book, it looks to be a very enjoyable series. Miles is a prince, and of course he must marry the "proper" woman to be his wife. But he is not interested in any of these eligible women. The woman that catches his interest is a cellist, Lisabet, that played at a Royal Ball.
Lisabet is not so interested in jumping into a relationship with Miles, having just recently coming out of a divorce. But she finds herself falling for him, nonetheless. This is a fun, romantic, and charming story that will definitely have you swooning. You will definitely fall in love with Miles and Lisabet in this lighthearted, sweet story and find yourselves rooting for their HEA.

Miles is a prince in search of a bride. When he sees Lisabet, the cellist, at one of his matchmaking events it’s an instant attraction for him. He does everything in his power to get closer to her. But winning over the newly divorced and weary Lisabet won’t be easy. Is he up to the task? Can she resist his charms? Will his father interfere with his non-royal choice?
I liked the dual POV, descriptive settings, musical elements, palace intrigue, romantic gestures and political drama. The glimpse of life as a professional musician and a royal family member felt realistic. Loved Miles’ creative way of wooing someone who wants nothing material from him. This thoughtful secret romance develops steadily from love at first sight to a trusting, respectful and passionate alliance. A joy to read!

Prince Miles' father is after him to get married. His cousin sets him up with a matchmaker who brings a host of eligible women from which he can choose a bride. He wants the cellist in the quartet that is playing. He makes her acquaintance and both have feelings. Lisabet feels she is not good enough for Miles. He believes differently and goes out of his way to show her. His father agrees with Lisabet. Will the two lovers get together?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Miles and Lisabet. His father was rough. I liked his mother. She tries to explain to Miles about his father, but Miles is having none of it. I liked the story but felt it moved too quickly for Lisabet since she is getting over a bad marriage. I found his solution to his problem very interesting and unique.

I look forward to reading more of this author.

I like how it begun but there could have been so much to this sorry. I stand by the fact that Royally Screwed is the best book when it comes to royalty stories. Nothing compares because there was a lot of thought put into not just their relationship but also their reaction to their relationship. We only get to see him spoil her but I wish she was s given more time to realise the job she was signing up for. She isn't just marrying a prince but she is also taking on responsibility for a nation. He should have schooled her on a little bit of things about their life. For a majority of the book the relationship is secret and when it comes to light, it just was so boring.

Crown Prince Miles is under pressure to find a bride so he can someday ascend to the throne. He hasn't met, nor does he know, anyone who strikes his fancy so his father enlists the help of Caroline, the Matchmaker of the Royals. She doesn't even need to pick anyone out for Miles because he sees a woman who inspires him as he watches the beautiful cellist make beautiful music at the royal dinner. Lisabet doesn't see herself as anyone special, but this prince is dedicated to proving that she's a princess, his princess. It's a sweet story, with plenty of heat, and shows that sometimes true love is right in front of our eyes.
Addison Barnes does a brilliant job with the narration, giving a clear and concise voice to each character, as she brings them to life.

Royally Matched is such a cute story. Prince Miles is so sweet and romantic and so in love with cellist Lisabeth. Their chemistry was so apparent that they made some very steamy scenes in the book, and it really did have a fairy tale ending. It was such an entertaining read that I will most likely re-read it again!

Lisabet is a cellist and recovering from a divorce. Her ex also left her with a mile of debt he racked up on her credit card. She is struggling. When her group were performing for royalty, she was taken with the gorgeous Prince Miles. He sure was taken with her and couldn't keep his eyes off her. When he approached her she ran away. Silly move, eh? A beautiful musician. A very handsome prince. A cranky king. Secrets. Talent. Beautiful music. I loved this one.

The author has pulled us into the lives of the characters and never lets go. When Prince Miles hires a matchmaker to help him find a wife, he is more intrigued by a woman in the orchestra than he is with any of the women chosen by the matchmaker.

This book was everything you would want from a royal romance. I love that the FMC was talented in her own right even if she was down in her luck at the beginning. The MMC standing up to his father was impressive. What I loved the most was how the two supported and looked out for each other. Definitely want to read the next book in the series.

I love Mrs. James stories. She never disappoints and this time was no different. The dual, first person point of view from Miles and Lisabet. He's a prince she's a cellist. I really enjoyed the story.

Very sweet! Excellent descriptions make the scenes come alive. Reasonably slow - I hate when romance books go from 0 to 100 within a few chapters. This plot had time for love to develop naturally. The intimate scenes were tastefully written.

Sweet music

A story of how your life can do a full 360, if you can take a chance on life and love. It only happened due to a chance meeting, but Prince Miles is not going to let go of Lisabet now that he has finally found her.

This was like eating sugar candy dipped in sugar. Too sweet, too cliché. About in the middle of it I kept waiting for the next page to show "epilogue". A great read for those who like fairytales with little to no drama.
