The golden boy meets his match in the Tanner Family series finale.
Tanner Wilde was just that. Wild.
He had been working hard and playing harder for so long that he paid no mind to the long line of heartbroken women he left in his wake. His life seemed full, and he was nowhere near ready to settle down.
Jillian Young was just the opposite.
She was solid, stable, and content with the quiet life she was building for herself. Everything was coasting along until the night Tanner Wilde showed up on her doorstep. Even though they had been school mates for years, he still had no idea who she was.
That was fine with her because she wanted him to get out of her life as quickly as possible.
Brooke St. James is a USA Today bestselling author and Amazon Kindle All-Star. She writes contemporary romance novels with Christian and inspirational themes and happy endings. She was born and raised in south Louisiana but has had the opportunity to travel and live throughout the U.S. An avid reader, writer, audio book addict, and fan of all things artistic, Brooke constantly has her hands in some creative activity. She's currently back home in Louisiana enjoying life with her husband, children, and two lazy dogs.
Brooke St. James ends her Tanner Family series on a high note with Young & Wild, focusing on Tanner Wilde, the youngest of the second generation of Tanners. (He's the youngest child of Sara Wilde, Ezekiel Tanner's sister, and as the story begins, an "unrepentant bachelor" who looks upon women as willing targets of his affection.)
All of that changes when he meets Jillian, a florist whose greedy uncle has sold her home and her shop to an anonymous buyer. That buyer turns out to be Tanner Wilde, a former classmate who doesn't remember Jillian. That's fine with her; she doesn't want to date a player who brags about his romantic victories, and she keeps her distance. Of course, the forbidden fruit is all the more attractive to someone who's used to getting what---and who---he wants. The fact that Jillian has grown from awkward lab partner to lovely young woman doesn't hurt either!
I liked having the wrap up of al the Tanner family at the end. I really liked the first chapter, it set thing up really well, but nothing was done with that set up. All the time great relationship building and changes of heart towards each other we’re skipped over by months-long lapses in the book so Jillian goes from being cold toward Tanner to being friends with him to being his girlfriend in a matter of chapters but we aren’t showed it we are just told.
I really didn’t like the writing, it seemed very abrupt and stilted, the conversations didn’t feel authentic, and there wasn’t any conflict in the book.
Contains: kisses and a few religious references but nothing preachy
Good ending to the series. I have to give Jillian props for not just letting Tanner think he could charm her like he did with any other girl. She put him in his place and it only worked out for the good because of that. Loved the transformation of Tanner! And oh my goodness I loved that farmhouse property! I love the extra epilogue that had a summary of the whole Tanner series to see how each member of the family’s life turned out. Really good series! There are several books in the series that I’ll be reading again this year. Rating: G, clean
Brooke has been gifted by God. This series is fabulous. God is woven into every story, it's unobtrusive and as a Christian I am looking forward to recommending the series without worrying that they are Christian books. I can pass them into my friends knowing they will meet God whilst enjoying a brilliantly written book. I am looking forward to reading other series. This book was my favourite of the series, but I read them back to back and am a little sad that there are no more!!
In this final book of the Tanner Family series, readers get to hear the story of the youngest son/cousin, Tanner. During series, over an eight year period of time, readers watch Tanner grow up from a high school basketball player, to college player and on to the NBA. How perfect is his story of falling love with Jillian, a strong Christian young woman who made him want to be a better man! Loved this series of eight books and this family so.much I binge read it!
Love reading Brooke’s books! They just suck you in and you can’t stop. The tension between Tanner and Jillian is amazing! I love that Tanner see the opportunity in the beginning to better himself with his relationship with God and to become a better man. I loved this story.
Ah, how disappointing. Yes, I am disappointed because the Tanner Family Book series has come to an end. I absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed each and every book in the series. Great family (we'd all love to be part of the Tanner clan), great friends, great stories. Yeah, not reality for almost everyone of us, but that's why we want and read fiction of this ilk. Ms St. James writes to bring smiles to her readers, and she succeeds in abundance. Thank you...
I'm kind of sad to say goodbye to the Tanners. I've gotten fond of them with this series. It was the perfect hot ending to the series though. Jillian and Tanner's story is one of my favorites. It's sweet and sultry. I love how the family comes together and how he just knew before everything and knew what he wanted and went for it. It's again, a great ending to the series.
Brooke St. James writes books that suck you in and make you feel like you are a member of the “family” she is writing about. They are so good to begin and so hard to say goodbye to. Clean faith based romance books that keep you turning pages as you grow to love each family member.
Wonderful group of siblings, parents, partners and the best of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved, shared and supported each other and who were always there to share their activities with one another and to love each other unconditionally. Great series of families who were always there for each other without question!
What a wonderful ending to such an incredible series! These characters have all become so special, I adored Tanner the whole series and Jillian is his match in every way! I will miss the Tanner/Wilde families but I also look forward to Brooke's next series. 5 stars!!!!
This is another amazing series with endearing and charming characters that you will definitely fall in love with and heartwarming love story that will touch your very soul.
So enjoyed the entire series! You won't be able to put it down and each book is a treasure. Brooke's writing pulls you in and makes you part of the family.
Loved reading about the Tanners and Wildes! Tanner and Jillian story was sweat and beautiful. Tender and pure with so many decisions to make. Making the right decision always pays off in the end 💗. Thanks Brooke for all these wonderful stories and insights
Look over this series of books! The storyline of this one was so good...a good ending to the series. I loved how you got a look into the future. I hate I am done with the series. It was wonderful.
I have read all of this series of books.. I really enjoyed all of them! Keep up the good work! The worst thing about the books when you start reading them you can't put the books down.😊
I can't believe this was the last book in the series. I'm so sad. Loved Tanner's story. How Jillian stayed true to herself and Tanner knew he needed to grow up and change to be worthy of her.
This was another really good story by Brooke St. James. I had read about Tanner in Caleb and Stella's book and liked being able to see him older. I really enjoyed the relationship between him and Jillian. The pace was good and as always with Brooke's books, they got their happy ending.
As usual this author does not disappoint. The romance was so sweet! I really enjoyed the characters and a few from previous stories. This is a really sweet, clean romance.
I enjoy reading books with meaning and faith in Christ. Life is so hard and to be able to read a story with so much kindness and love , it makes you fill ood.
I have enjoyed this series and was very excited to read what happened with the entire family at the end of this book. Will definitely read more by this author.
