As the VP of the Knights of Hellfire MC, Oswald "Oz" Black is duty bound to hate the Iron Scorpions MC. Seven years ago, the rivalry between the clubs led to bloodshed. To put an end to the violence between the two factions, Oz was forced to give up the only woman he has ever loved, the stepdaughter of the Iron Scorpions' President. After seven years, Oz has transformed himself from lowly prospect, to the hard riding, hard drinking VP of the most ruthless MC in the criminal underworld. But Jodi is still untouchable, off limits. Except, he can't stay away anymore.
When Jodi Cunningham-Reed was banished from town, she had to leave Oz behind forever. Her stepfather is President of the Iron Scorpions, so she's loyal to her stepfather and his club. For seven long years she has stayed away from the ruthless biker she left behind, knowing that if they're found together, her stepfather won't hesitate to kill Oz. But one night, Jodi can't resist the pull of the outlaw biker she used to love. She finds herself giving in to desire one last time. Or so she thinks. When Jodi realizes she's pregnant with Oz's baby, her forbidden affair can no longer stay secret.
Vowing to save Oz from the wrath of two MCs, Jodi is ready to run away and leave him behind all over again. Too bad Oz isn't letting her go this time. He will claim her and his child, even if it costs him his life.
Azalea Dunn writes in many genres including romance, sci fi, and fantasy. Right now, she’s focused on writing contemporary, historical, paranormal, and fantasy romance.
Born in France and raised in Nigeria, she now lives in Jamaica. She has been to several countries, including Benin, Switzerland, and the United States. Her travels inspire her work, though nowhere inspires her more than Jamaica. She is currently pursuing a degree at the University of the West Indies.
The idea of the book was good but unfortunately it was far too repetitive. Jodi was also frustrating. Her martyr behavior was over the top. Let’s be honest the only person who was wrong all along was her father. In a motorcycle club, what the President says goes. If you disagree you take the issue to a vote at church. If you decide to betray your brothers (because had he won I doubt he would have just let Hyde walk away) then at least you make sure you have a solid plan. What you don’t do is have your family caught in the crossfire. I know Jodi was young but I found it unbelievable that she let go of Oz so easily and if she resented her dad as she says why didn’t she distance herself and left with her mother? Makes no sense to me. Even today, her stout loyalty to her dad made no sense. She was prepared to sacrifice her child again for her father. Crazy. As for Oz, it’s all good to want to protect Jodi and her feelings but the fact is that her dad is a questionable character (let’s not forget that he is a thief on top of everything else). Oz didn’t leave her 7years prior, she did. Even now despite her excuses about protecting him, what was really happening is that she was letting other people choose her life again. Two things which bothered me as well. Why was Jodi made out to be so weak and hysterical? As the daughter of the President of club, it’s inconceivable that she doesn’t know how to use a gun. The ending was also too fairytale like for this genre. The clubs might have made peace, her father might have backed off but this chummy attitude and calling your daughter after him was a step too far. He is still a snake. Savelyn was silly too but that’s another matter. I wish we were told who killed Hyde. As an aside how can a club with only 4 officers control a town? How big is that town?
This is more on the tame side of biker romances that I’ve read. It’s good and did hold my attention but it’s light compared to the dark reunited romances I read. It’s not like two feuding families at first since they all belonged to one M.C. and Oz was a prospect and Jodi’s stepdad (she calls Daddy even into her 20s because her biological father was Jamaican drug runner that worked with the KoH, when he died Justice fell in love with her mom and married, him claiming Jodi as his daughter) club when the turds hit the fan and the VP tried to do a takeover from the President, resulting in a big change including Jodi being forced to leave her love, Oz behind never to be seen again. . 7 years later there is now 2 clubs ( the ones that followed Justice and the loyal ones to stay with the Knights). The VP, Oz will have a surprise the one night he fills in for a buddy at the bar.
Both Jodi and Oz will talk about their hook ups In the pasts a few times. They will woe is me about their punishment is the Knights were to find the Oz went against orders from 7 years ago, as for Jodi her complaining about how her daddy will punish Oz for what he did to her on their first night together. Then one will bring up a dead beat dad and how he won’t be like that ever but willing to get the other person up just to be what is needed of him. It got repetitive to mush I had to skim the parts. 2 minor dramas really in this book for me were the psycho man name Van and the member...
Seven years ago Jodi and Oz were young lovers who belonged to the same MC. He was a prospect while she was the beloved stepdaughter of the VP. All was good until her father made a play for leadership of the gang which ended in h Jodi having to give up Oz and her father and mother being banished from the club and their home town. Oz can scarcely believe his eyes when he crosses paths with Jodi years later. She's just graduated from law school and is more beautiful and desirable than ever. After a torrid night together they agree to go their separate ways. After all he is now the VP of the club her father betrayed all those years ago and her father is president of his own club and they are sworn enemies. To make matters worse Jodi is now pregnant with his baby and means to go it alone. Her dad would kill Oz if he ever found out but Oz had other plans. He means to protect Jodi and his baby even if he has to go up against his club's s sworn enemy and his own motorcycle club. I enjoyed this book. My one criticism would be of Jodi. I couldn't t stand her weak ass. All of the drama stemmed from her. It's like she didn't have an ounce of common sense. It was hard to believe at times that she grew up in motorcycle club. That aside, this was an overall great read.

Book 1 in a new Knights of Hellfire MC series, this book follows Jodi and Oz's story. When one MC becomes two, dividing the brothers between those loyal to their leader Justice and the Iron Scorpions MC and a new club the Knights of Hellfire, two young lovers become separated. 7 years later Jodi's back and when she sees Oz they get talking about old times that leads them to sleeping together, but now Jodis pregnant and wants to run again to save both Oz and their child but Oz wont give up on her so easily a second time around. well written biker romance with a romeo and Juliet-esq theme

As someone very familiar with MC's, I have met members from casual clubs to one percenters. The Knights of Hellfire are supposed to be part of the latter group. I can assure you, if someone tried to kill the president of the club, they would not be casually living in the same area for long. They would also not be doing business deals with each other seven years later. So if you are looking for a gritty, realistic MC story, pass on Vice.
If you want a forbidden love story with the accompanying repeated angst, this book would fit what you're looking for. In my opinion, Jodi was too immature and would never make it in a real MC as the VP's woman and Oz was too soft.
I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too. The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story.

This is the first book I have read by Azalea Dunn and I have to say "I liked it!" I liked every minute of it, not a dull moment. And thats says a lot. If your other books read with the same passion I look forward to becoming a true Azalea fan. Thanks for a great read!
Wow! What an entertaining story! The drama started from the beginning, and the flow was consistent throughout. The chemistry between Jodi and Oz was amazing. I recommend this.
