This is such a terrific book to read after The Witchling book. I liked that it showed the events that transpired in that series and gave it more context. I loved seeing Chiori and the Fox as well. Can't wait to read the next book.

**Cliffhanger-ish Warning!** Oh my gods! I LOVE this book. It's a medium-to fast burn, reverse harem romance (with a little F/F), and an epic fantasy. There's a ton of fast-paced action, fascinating characters, surprising twists and turns, and some cool magic. This is a wonderful addition to the post-apocalyptic, alternate-earth world I first visited in Half-Breed. While the Taming the Elements books focus on Chiori, this series, Dragon Prophecies, stars Elsie. I'm glad that I re-read and binge read all of the other books by this author before diving in. You don't have to read the other series first, but I recommend it.
I love Elsie! She is a mess because of her past with the Hunter Clan, her almost-broken mate bond, and the curse placed on her. It's neat that she's already a badass reaper, but she still struggles with her abilities, relationships, and emotions. Her adventures coincide with some of Chiori's in Witchling, so I was excited to see a new perspective and the cameos of the other series' characters. I'm anticipating each new book as the Dragon Prophecy brings the Priestess and the Key together.
Similar to the events in Witchling, Elsie is on a quest or three. Her journey includes visits to other planets and dimensions. Since Elsie is older than Chiori (she's 30 during most of this book), there's not as much build-up to the romance. I thoroughly enjoyed how she was unwillingly bound to Frost (but they become fond of each other), reconnected with Saint, stumbled into Wren, and met Moscow. I'm also obsessed with Frida. I want to know more about alebrije and the other lesser-known magical beings from this world.
It doesn't seem to matter how long these books are, I'm always going to zip through them. I'm excited for the next book in either series!
I'm also happy to report the low amount of typos.

**BREATHTAKINGLY EXPLOSIVE PERFECTION!!!**
This book absolutely blew me away and I’m hooked on Hickory Mack!!!
Reaper is the first book that I’ve read by this author and I fell head-over-heels in love with everything about it!! The amount of detail she puts in to each scene and character is astounding to where you feel like you’re actually there, witnessing everything with your own eyes. The character development was pure perfection, the world building was beautifully detailed, and the story line was fiercely gripping.
Elsie is sweetly vulnerable yet terrifyingly powerful and as quick-witted as they come. I loved seeing each side of her and how she grew throughout the story. She’s forced in to an impossible situation but still figures out how to make the best of it with help from a snarky demon wolf, a sweet and entertaining kitty, and a mysteriously breathtaking woman. And let’s not forget the men….my heart is still racing for Saint and those who I won’t name (so you can have the same excitement I did in finding out who they are).
I am soooo beyond excited to see where the rest of this story leads, especially after the cliffhanger at the end!! And I also can’t wait to read Half-Breed and Witchling which tie into this storyline. Hickory is an amazing author and you won’t regret diving in to her stories!!!

Reaper is the first book I’ve had the pleasure of reading from this author and I absolutely loved it!
The book drew me in with the amazing characters and the story was was captivating, with a mix of adventure and romance.
I really loved this book! Elsie was an amazing character. She was a strong, fierce, kick butt, Reaper, who had a soft side with her mates but anyone who messed with her or her mates would experience her wrath.
Reaper is filled with magical, mythical creatures, prophecy, adventure and suspense. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what happens next!

This book has a lot of character and world build. It's quite interesting with all of the characters an there different backgrounds and seeing how they interact with one another. Our Reapers harem is different and don't expect them to immediately like each other. I can't wait to see how they work though this or come to some compromise. I must say Frost and Frida are my favorites lol. I can't wait to see how it goes when it's revealed who Frost is.

Wonderful!
I really enjoy this authors work and this book was absolutely wonderful! I can't wait to see what happens next. Great characters and an intriguing storyline. I would definitely recommend both series.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. I lost sleep over this book. I neglected work over this book. It took over my entire life and I have no regrets. Hickory Mack catapulted herself right to the top of my list of favorite authors with her first book, Half-Breed and I don’t foresee her status ever changing. Her world building, character growth, and fantastic storytelling are second to none. Elsie and her mates are absolutely lovely and believable and your heart just goes out to them and the circumstances they find themselves in. I really enjoy the diversity of the characters and their world views. Just read this book. Please. You’ll thank me later.
