A Reluctant Mafia Bride Obsessed Husband

To begin with, this was a very quick read.

Not having read the first book, I was playing catch-up on the back story between these two.

The premise was fairly obvious Mafia stuff.
From what I can gather the brides Mother in Law had kidnapped her, and tried to have her daughter in law killed, because she was a Valenti.
The rest of the plot revolved around Vito ( the husband) trying to finally “claim” her as his.
This results in them having a steamy sex session in bed and his car,
It’s while in his car that he confesses to a murder.

Adela, his wife, has a major freak out, at which point she realises he has drugged her.
He apologises, as she appears to be losing consciousness.
End of story….

This has to be the strangest, most disjointed story I have read.
Some parts seems to go into detail, and take a while to move on, while other parts ( towards the end) raced along with a bizarre rushed ending.
It was very strange.
And.
At times the whole narrative was a little ….amateur
