This is the marathi translation of 'Lust for Life' by Irving Stone. This book is a must-read for every single person.

Van Gogh started painting relatively later in his life after trying all kinds of trades. But he worked insane hard (pun unintended) on his art. He churned out paintings at an incredible speed. He described himself as a 'painting automaton'. He carried on painting even when he went hungry.. went on painting even though people discouraged him and told him that no one will ever buy his paintings. He refused to compromise on his truth and did not sell-out even when it meant being money-less.
The most heartwarming part in the book is the relationship with his brother Theo. There would have been no Vincent without Theo. Theo's resolute financial support and encouragement ensured that Vincent could paint and paint he did till he breathed his last.
