This one didn't start out all that great. Uptight people really annoy me 🤨 Dean deciding in his head how everything is or should be is frustrating. Xavier is a unique breed.
This feels like drama for drama's sake. I read it because it's short and easy. I know I'm being manipulated into being pissed off at one, then the other. Every romance writer's trick has gone into writing this story.🤔
Growing pains in a new relationship where they really don't know each other very well. Miscommunication and misjudgements galore.
Meh, I can't really be happy for them because I don't really like them, so there's that.🙃

Loved this story. It was two people who were very diferent but somehow made it work. Dean thinking he is not good enough for anyone really broke my heart. That poor man was more than enough. And Xavier knew it too. He may not know what being in a relationship is actually like but he loved Dean despite evrerything. I liked how even after Dean pushed him away, he still fought for him

Dean, Brett's brother is a talented tattoo artist,
who owns his own shop. He's a hairy bear, solid, tattooed, dark haired biker-looking guy, about 25.
Xavier is Swedish, with platinum hair and gray eyes,
who is famous with his TV cooking show. He seems so secure and flamboyant all of the time.
Dean ignores Xavier, which draws Xavier like a moth to a flame. Xavier cooks dinner for Dean, asks questions and Xavier gets bold, and asks Dean if he's ever kissed a man - no? - well, that was a challenge Xavier had to go for. Hot, incendiary, breath-taking, and Dean was all in.
Then it was a month or so, and Xavier tracked Dean down at the coffee house, where they left on his motorcycle.
These guys are so good together. Dean is all in with their scorching hot, powerful sex, but doesn't think he's enough for the famous celebrity chef. Dean doesn't realize how much Xavier wants and needs him.
We see their back and forth and ups and downs. After awhile, Xavier gets advice and pulls out all the stops to apologize and woo, but it didn't work, until another idea just might.
Terrific characters with deep thoughts and insecurities, making them realistic. They don't have all of the answers.
Marvelous.

Wow for a guy who has never even kissed another man Dean sure knew what to do and where to go to when he got very up close and personal with his first man crush, Xavier. Xavier was a Swedish bombshell, an actor and TV Cook Show Chef. Oh and he is allergic to wearing clothes, But he wears an apron so he doesn’t get burnt near the ovens. 🔥 He also lives next door to Brett, Dean’s older brother.
These two guys have been circling round each other for sometime with just witty comments and secret stares. Dean is a Tattoo Artist with his own shop The Mad Tatter,( great name) he has so much childhood baggage that he feels he doesn’t deserve to be happy. He pushes away anything that seems too good for him. (All of it needless and unwarranted).
Brett, Dean’s brother is celebrating getting engaged to his boyfriend Roman, in the Cook Show Studio catered by Xavier. At the end of the party Xavier asks Dean to stay back at the end because he wants to talk with him. Dean of course goes into overthinking and self sabotaging mode while he waits for Xavier to clear up.
“Have you ever kissed a man ?” asks Xavier, standing right in front of Dean.
Dean barely gets his answer out before Xavier silences him with his lips. Surprising both of them, Dean takes the lead like he’s born for it.
They’re only getting started but will Dean manage to derail them with his lack of self worth and thinking that Xavier is too good for him.

Beautifully moved is book five in the Candied Crush series
This is was interesting. Dean, Brett’s brother couldn’t be anymore different from the other characters in this series. It was very refreshing to have a different kinda character that isn’t wealthy or on his way to ‘being rich’.

Omg, the middle of the book was quite depressing. I didn't like how it makes me feel. And it was all because of misunderstandings. Gah, I want to bitch slap my character's. But thank goodness they make it up somehow. Good Lord, this author always keeps me on my toes. Seriously, she's such a guilty pleasure for me. I can't wait for the next book. Foster brothers falling in love. Yay!!

Xavier is well known for his name, face and body because he hosts a popular cooking show the buff. Outside he is flawless but inside he is jaded and spoiled - no one has ever told him no. Dean isn't like anyone else - he ignores Xavier unless he makes him look at him which intrigues him except Dean just keeps running away from him. Dean does a normal job, looks like a normal person and mostly gets shot down. He is not interested in being rejected by a guy who is way out of his league. Then they spend one magical night together and then Dean runs. So Xavier has to be the one to do the chasing and losing is not an option.
I enjoyed this story with the beautiful man who doesn't like wearing clothes and the ordinary man who doesn't feel he will win in the battle for Xavier. There was lots of thoughts and emotion in this story and it was interesting to analyse why a spoilt beautiful man could be so lonely and that Dean might feel outclassed but he was exactly what Xavier needed. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

This story made me happy
There is just something about the characters and the stories created by this author. Charity Parkerson somehow embues her multi-dimensional characters with so much personality that the reader is fully engaged and surrounded by their emotion. I feel like I know these people personally and share their HEA.
The worst part of these stories is that they end. I just can't wait for more.

Book 5 in this series which I’ve truly enjoyed, this one not quite as much as others but it was still a nice read, I thought it seemed somewhat shorter but I guess it was an engrossing read, sitting out in the last of our summer days. Number one will always be my favourite story and favourite mc’s but this one had the similar storyline, a little love, a little angst, a lot of angst and then an hea. A nice easy and enjoyable read with no complicated plot.

Another great addition......
Oh, what another great addition to the series. I'm so happy that I am hooked on this series. One by one they find that perfect crush, that completes them. Dean thought he never would, until he met Xavier, and knew they were meant to be together. Now I'm waiting next to see, if Dawson will finally makes up his mind and go after Milo.

I love the meet cute. Meeting the usually naked neighbor of your brother who happens to be a movie start and celebrity chef when your brother gets hurt. And you, well you are just a guy. I love that this book allows the characters to fumble around in their own insecurities.
