This book certainly makes you think about how we approach life and how we can achieve more and have a healthier outlook on life, rather than overthinking everything and getting stuck in a rut. It's very well written in that it explains terminology and ideas clearly and are easy to follow. I liked that the author also offered some practical help, explaining different methods of meditation. A picture here and there would have been an added bonus for me, but apart from that, it was an inspiring read and I recommend everyone to read it!

Helpful Information

The book had useful information. It helped me realize the type of overthinking I do, and that knowledge helped me be conscious of when I am doing it. Then, I argue with myself to stop myself from continuing overthinking.

Only reason for the 4 stars is that the authors writing style was not as conducive to my reading style. I was hoping to finish the book faster, but kept re-reading paragraphs I didn't initially understand.

I may re-read the book to see if I have an easier time of reading it.

A modern malaise....

As a teacher I am constantly bombarded, on a daily basis, and often have to strive to survive the feelings of being overwhelmed, but needing to continue to make social interactions and decisions. Switching between exhaustion and procrastination, this overworked mind really appreciated the explanations for why I feel and behave the way I do - and how to take practical steps to move beyond them and continue to live effectively. Worth a read.

I hated that it took me so long to read this short book because of how busy I was for two weeks.

I can simply say this: READ THIS BOOK

I was blown away and I don’t think there’s a single page that I didn’t annotate at least once.

It is written in a way that makes the subject matter extremely comprehensible and really does make you think on why exactly you spend so much of your life ruminating and overthinking things that more often than not, are out of your control.

The book provides copious amounts of explanation, tips, solutions and suggestions on how to clear the overwhelming hustle of your brain to give yourself some much needed mental clarity and silence.

Yes, there are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors in this book. I do believe it was independently published, which could be why. However, the content and body of work itself was so gripping that I didn’t bother knocking a star off for it.
