Broken Boxes: A Poetry Collection

From an early age I understood suffering and struggling firsthand. It didn’t take me long to realize life was not fair and there were no privileges waiting for me. No one would ever swoop in and save me. But that was not the end but the beginning of my story. I discovered through writing I could completely open the floodgates of my mind and let all my demons out to play on a blank page. I could release every stray thought, every sin, every alternate reality I could imagine. I was able to purge the heavy shadows and sweep out the ghosts. Pen and paper became an addiction and poetry was my favorite drug. These pages are chronicles of my youth, my times spent seeking God, and my search for the truth. Some of these poems are dark and some weigh heavy, but I hope you see the light at the end of my tunnel. It is my hope you can see the salvation that ebbs below. Enjoy this glimpse into my soul and take away what you will.
