Vampire Caving 2

"The author kept it short and sweet while delivering a unique version of vampires and their origins. Not your typical blood bath vampire book. Very enjoyable" - Mary Karowski

The mystery of where vampires come from deepens as Bernie goes to Easter Island. One particular Moai statue only has one foot, just like the ancient race of mono-pods. Soon the weight to protect those around Bernie stresses his friendships, testing the limits of a lie of omission.

Vampire Caving 2
Author: James Livingood
Narrator: Bryan Jones

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this honest review.
I always like to preface any reviews I give with this information.
I am a 68 year old female who has been an avid reader since I was around 10 or 11 years old.
I read primarily for pleasure.
I have a great many interests and do a lot of research for personal pleasure and knowledge as well.

Review: This is a review of the Audiobook version of Vampire Caving 2

This is going to be a little different than my usual reviews.
Rather than giving a synopsis of some main features and then my review, I am going to tell you that before I listened to this 2nd story, I went back and listened to the first one (Vampire Caving), again so that I could get a better sense of continuity in the entire story. It has been my experience that when you get the entire story and it is fresh in your mind; the impact is different than when you don't.

This is a very good story. The author has done some very creative thinking and writing in giving us a completely different creation story of how vampires came into being. This audiobook is less than 1 hour in length and there is a great amount of complex background that we are given in a very concise way.

There are layers of secrets that are revealed in the course of this story and I was very caught up in the way the author chose to reveal them.

I will also tell you that I was sorry this audiobook was not longer.
I hope that Mr Livingood will continue this story line.
I was very impressed with his creation of a different Vampire "Myth."

Narrator Bryan Jones did an excellent continuation of some of the characters from the first audiobook that are also in this 2nd story, and has a very good grasp of accents. It was a real pleasure to listen to him again and I will be looking forward to hearing more of him.

I believe this story would be enjoyed by anyone 12 years and older.

All books in one review from listening as an audiobook.
I have to say this series would be great for kids as well as adults it a story of two friends who lived around the 1920's who went out to get drunk pick a lady up and takes her home (nothing sexual happens) they are attached and fed on by a female vampire. Now we are in the present and the two friends are still alive but one is stuck in the pass and sounds like a 1920 mob boss and the other has kept up with times computer, cellphones etc the friend us starting to take interest and it is funny to listen to the two talking . So the series is base on the one friend who never lost his adventure nature and wants to know why there are vampires their history from were they became into bring up to present. So you get a history lesson that covers the globe on the surface but most under ground in caves you meet the original vampires who are not started from one branch of humanity but two one called the Water Protector Clan and one who really had no name but was known for ability to run very fast with their one leg and at one time lived on the surface but sometime moved into caves and built their civilization and own culture. The water protectors survived and the Clan of One Leg did not.
Only after you meet Dracula do you really figure what the the Water Protector Clan and Clan of One Leg gave or created that helped create vampires with the ability for long life but not how they came into deing. You see and learn about Dracula and what he was doing in the present and finally his downfall.
So do highly recommend this series of audiobooks but listen to them at one time the books do play right into each other pretty wells and after you listen to them share the books with kids and friends

Okay, so now Richard and Bernie are in for an adventure! They decide to go spelunking seeking answers to the meaning of their vampire lives. What they ind is a shock and information unlike anything I’d ever expected!

Vampire Caving 2 is much better than its predecessor. Instead of diving directly into the story, as with the knowledge gained with Marcus in book one, you walk right into it. Rather, you climb into it. But from there, the story takes on a different sense - genre even! Everything you knew about vampires has come to a head and pushed through to knew dimensions. Ha- seriously!

I can honestly say that the ending was pretty clever, as well. On to book three!

I received the trilogy for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. This will cover books 2 and 3 as 3 is not listed in goodreads. Bernie is off to more adventures trying to find out more truth to the different types of vampires in his world. Soon he’s offered to see how an older vampire handles things and sees that this one offers much to human kind but at what expense? Having to keep secrets from his best friend is slowly hurting their relationship. What is Bernie to do?

The author wrote a series of 3 books in one Audible, that follows the story of 2 men who become Vampires and looking to understand the origin of it. The two main characters are men from the 1920's and follows them as time moves forward. Quite different from any other Vampire story I have every listen to or read. Not bloody or gorey, with different designations depending on each ones preferred inclinations.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title.
So, the answers of where Vampires came from is perhaps answered.
However, now we find not one but two types of vampire. One needing to consume blood and avoid sunlight, the other self consuming and able to function in sunlight.
