Gods of Rock #3

Ghost Note

Rate this book
Six years.
Seventy-two months.
Over two thousand days.
That’s what I’d dedicated to that guitar-playing a*sehole, Danny Silver.
Now I, Daisy Piper, was left to pick up the wreckage of his love while he ran off with the band to find fortune and fame.

Life went on without him, and a new man soon rescued me from the ashes of Danny, but a part of my heart remained a little broken, no matter who tried to fix it. First loves can’t be forgotten so easily, and when Danny returned to our small hometown in Devon—famous and adored by millions—I couldn’t stop myself from wanting to get a glimpse of the man I’d once laid beside, to see how much he’d changed.

The smallest actions make for the biggest mistakes, and a single look into Danny’s eyes was all it took before I ran. I ran because the spark that came to life inside felt dangerous, and I wasn’t the kind of girl who enjoyed getting burnt twice.

But running from a rock star isn’t as easy as I thought it would be, and with Danny’s sights now firmly set on me again, all I could do was pray that he got bored of the chase. That he thought life in Devon was too slow for him, and that he craved the bright lights of the city, as well as the noise of the stadium.

If he didn’t, I was about to ruin everything for everyone.

Especially myself, and my stupid little Silver-lined heart.

This was the first Vicki James book I read and I’ve got mixed feelings on it. I do want to clarify that I like the author’s style of writing and I will be reading other books of hers going forward. I do wish this book was dual POV, feel like that may have helped with my overall opinion of it. As for the book itself, I’ve listed my thoughts below - note there are major spoilers here.

Daisy and Danny were childhood sweethearts, spending 6 years together before he ultimately left her to pursue his dream of being a musician. He wanted more to life than their small town could offer and he left Daisy to pursue it. She was blindsided by the break-up and pleaded with him that they could discover the world together. Danny didn’t seem to have any interest in taking Daisy on his journey to stardom with him and that commenced their 5 year separation. Majority of the book after that point centers around the heartbreak Daisy felt over the 5 years that followed. She refused to listen to any music with lyrics and seemed like she was living a shell of a life, all while Danny is touring the world and living out his dreams as being a famous rockstar. Daisy did have a casual fling, Ben, in that time frame. Ben ended up being an absolute sweetheart - would rather have had Daisy end up with him, in all honesty.

Fast forward 5 years, Danny ends up in back in Hope Cove for his grandmothers funeral and ends up thrust back into Daisy’s world. He starts relentlessly chasing her around town. Come to find out, he broke up with Daisy because he felt like he couldn’t live up to her love and wanted her to find herself, separate of him. He essentially said that she was making him her whole world and he needed her to find out who she was on her own. Now that she has her own business and has developed a backbone he seems to justify his rationale for leaving her. He ultimately asks her to come with him on tour after a week of them being back in each others vicinity, to which she eventually agrees.

Overall, I just couldn’t bring myself to want Daisy to end up with Danny. He left her because he wanted to purse music and because he felt like her whole world revolved around him, which was too much for him to handle, only to ask her to give everything up 5 years later to follow him around the world. Felt a little ironic that she ended up giving everything up for him after she was already willing to do that 5 years prior. He was so adamant on having her become independent, just to have her leave it all behind to follow him. I just didn’t get it. He also wouldn’t let her come to his gigs when they were dating early on, like why? I get he wanted to do it on his own, but honestly I thought he came across as a shitty boyfriend. I also got the sense that, if given the choice, Danny wouldn’t change anything about leaving her when he did. He irrevocably broke her heart and it didn’t seem like he experienced the same level of hurt and desperation by the break-up that she did (although maybe if this book had a dual POV I would have a different opinion). I also felt that if it wasn’t for his grandmothers untimely death that he wouldn’t have sought Daisy out at all. He was hooking up with many women during those years while Daisy could only bring herself to sleep with one other person (in 5 years!). At the end of it, if Daisy wasn’t willing to leave Hope Cove then I got the sense that there wasn’t a future for her and Danny. Danny never seemed like he would step away from music if it meant losing her, while she was willing to move away from her small town and her business to be with him. Where was this commitment from him? I felt like he should have pleaded with her that his life wasn’t as fulfilling as he thought it would be without her in it and if he needed to step back from his career to make it work with her that he would (even though we all know she would have supported his dreams no matter what). Just felt like there was no compromise on his end and if she wasn’t willing to leave her life behind then that was the end of the road for them. Ultimately she ended up going with him on tour….although she was willing to do that 5 years ago so not sure they really accomplished anything in that time apart. Just blew mind mind.

Felt like Danny ended up with everything he wanted without having to really make any sacrifices. He got to become a famous musician, sleep around while they were separated, get Daisy back with minimal impact to his day to day life and then have the ultimate happy ending. I found myself rooting for Daisy to put him in his place and not get back together with him. At the end of the day, I liked the style of writing but couldn’t get behind the relationship between the main characters which made this a tough book for me to fall in love with.

I am very happy for all the readers who loved this story and were thrilled. I envy them.
Without a doubt, Vicki James’ writing is outstanding. 👏🔝👏
I am sad to say that I struggled to read 44% of the story and finally dnf it.

The story was taking place in a small town while it was supposed to be a rock star genre book. There were no scenes related to the hero’s music career. He could also have been a business man or an athlete and there wouldn’t be a difference.
The pattern of pov was the same with the two previous ones. Single. Which became monotonous with the heroine’s inner thoughts and monologues.
There was plenty of back and forth regarding time and push and pull between the main characters. It exhausted me, as well as the slow development.

Ghost note might be a spectacular read, it just was not for me... 😔

“Do you want to know the best thing about falling in love with a rock star? There are no rules. Nothing is impossible.”

Maybe not impossible, but there are a lot of hurdles and hurts to overcome when your first love and the love of your life chooses a life of music and a legion of adoring fans over you or is sometimes the pain of heartbreak a shield that prevents us from seeing the truth?

Vicki James has delivered a sweet, and at times passionate second chance, small-town romance, in a story about believing in yourself; about taking chances. You only get one chance at life, and she reminds us to get out there and grab life by the balls! Another winner in a series we can’t get enough of!

Daisy Piper and Danny Silver were young lovers who lived and breathed their love, until Danny felt the passion and the need to take a chance on a music career, wanting to explore more than their small town Hope Cove has to offer. Daisy is the opposite; she loves her life and is heartbroken when Danny chooses his music over her.

“You were so loved, and you still left. I don’t think I’ll ever understand that.”
“Daisy, all the love in the world from everyone else couldn’t help me to love myself. That wasn’t going to happen until I went out there and did what I was most afraid to do.”

Fast forward five years and the now twenty-five-year-old Daisy is still trying to move on from the heartbreak of losing Danny, cutting herself off from music entirely so as not to hear how Danny’s career has taken off as lead guitarist with the hugely popular Front Row Frogs – music and lyrics are like a knife to her already bruised heart, music, the beast who stole her love.

‘Danny was everyone else’s now. He belonged to the world and all the screaming fans within it. I belonged here, in this shop…in Hope Cove…’

What Daisy didn’t account for was Danny Silver waltzing back into Hope Cove eliciting all those old emotions Daisy had hoped she’d tramped down, and we witness the passionate and piercing love Danny and Daisy lived through Daisy’s memories and thoughts, allowing us to experience the moments leading up to the decimation of Daisy’s heart. We also gain an insight into Danny and understand more about his decisions and actions

‘Every moment with him burned, and despite me wanting to hate it, I was starting to crave the pain all over again.’

We really enjoyed Ghost Note, though felt a little disappointed to have not experienced the same heart-thumping and intense ‘rock star’ feel we loved so much in the first two books. For us, this theme is all about the music and concert experience, and Ghost Note lacked a little in that area, leaning more towards a small town, second chance romance than the rock star romance we had hugely anticipated. Whilst there were one or two scenes that nearly took us there, they didn’t reach the levels experienced in previous books.

In saying that, the climax of the story had us on our feet and cheering! The musical references had us heading to our music libraries, drawing on our own memories which only music can do so well. We had Aztec Camera on repeat!!! A fabulous series we hope Vicki James continues to explore!

‘Maybe sometimes you can love a person too much.’

Well ..... First of all I want to say that Vicki James is an author which I love her writing style and most of her stories!!!
Unfortunately for me "Ghost Note " wasn't a good story!! It wasn't a rock star romance, it was a small town romance, it was a second chance romance but not a rock star and definitely (😭😭😭) I missed the fucking amazing magic of "Cherry Beats"
All this back and forth it was so tiring....there was times that I was struggling to finish the book !!
I am really so fucking sorry but I was expecting more from this book!! It was truly one of my anticipated books but I am so fucking disappointed!!!
Surely I won't stop reading her books because for me Cherry Beats, Dirty Rock, Babylon series, Lilac are books that I loved and I will re-read them because of her writing !! ❤️❤️❤️
She is a talent writer!!!
So I rate this book 2.5 🌟 just for her writing!!
This is my personal and honest review!

Vicki James can rock it with the best of them! My third rock star romance by this author and I'm still a rock'n'roll groupie caught up in the craziness with each performance and the rockers who perform.

Daisy Piper and Danny Silver take front and center stage in "Ghost Note." A lot of the story takes place in a small town where both grew up as childhood friends, became more and then parted ways with broken hearts. Now it's years later and time for the lead guitarist for the highly popular band Front Row Frogs (yep, it's sick but it works) to return home faced with tragedy and a love he's never forgotten.

The writing is just as good as it gets -- and the emotions and feelings are off the charts up and down the spectrum. This book is indeed a true rock star romance that covers all the notes running the scales from the lowest to the highest.

The love story is priceless and truly breaks your heart before sending you into an all-star performance with a glorious medley of awestruck soul-searing romance. It doesn't get much better if you're a fan of the musical rockers.

Ghost Note is a phenomenal 2nd chance, rockstar romance that is sure to capture your heart with its entertaining storyline and engaging characters. If you are looking for the perfect read that will not only pull at your heartstrings but will also leave you swooning, then be sure to pick up this book!

Danny and Daisy start off as a young couple in love, but Daisy’s world was torn apart when he left to pursue his musical dream. The author artfully intersperses moments of their past throughout the book. These flashbacks cast shimmers of light upon their early relationship and illustrate that all encompassing love between them. These long ago moments highlight their intense connection and help the reader feel Daisy’s hurt.

The book was told from Daisy’s POV where the author expertly portrays just how devastated she was when their relation was severed. Danny was her everything and yet she felt he chose music over her. Thus she is a tad bitter when he returns to their hometown of Hope Cove. Daisy is a character that I think many will identify with. The author did a remarkable job with character growth and I felt as though I was actually feeling what Daisy was feeling.

As for Danny, I adored him. I felt that I didn’t know too much about him in the beginning of the book and I think that is why it took me a few chapters to become fully immersed in the novel. However, as I got to know more about him and witness his interactions with Daisy, I completely fell in love with him. Can you say book boyfriend?

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this rockstar romance. The characters were likable & well developed and the storyline was interesting. I enjoyed some of the underlying messages alluded to in this book as they are definitely relatable. It is a standalone novel, but if you’ve read Dirty Rock, you will be thrilled to see cameos from Rhett and Julia. Ghost Note is an excellent read by this relatively new-to-me author. Her rockstar romances leave me with a smile on my face while also wanting more of these wonderful characters. I voluntarily read an early version of this book and all thoughts are my own.

It's no secret that I adore this Rock Star Romance series by Vicki James. I've even claimed Rhett Ryan as my own. I love that man with the fire of a thousand suns. However, Vic has done it again with Danny and Daisy!

Guys, I kid you not, this book will Blow. You. Away. Whatever you're expecting or not expecting, rid your mind of it all and go in fresh.

Daisy is such a strong young woman, but her heart is broken. There's always going to be a part of us that is angry that we allowed ourselves to trust someone enough to give them the power to break us, but Daisy is PISSED. He didn't keep his end of the deal, he chose something over her.

In true Vic James fashion, in enters the Rock Star and you know... you know sparks are going to fly and that gorgeous balance of romangst will play out, but... GUYS...! The HEAT these two generate is off the charts!

I could wax lyrical over this book all day, and I'm not even kidding, but, as always, it's one of those delicious treats one needs to try for themselves.

If you're looking for a Rocking Read with a beautifully sassy lass, and a rock god that will make you swoon... look no further... You may even see some familiar faces along the way o.O

Ghost Note from Vicki James is my first book from this author and based on this book it’s definitely not going to be my last. Ghost Note is a rockstar second chance romance.
Daisy and Danny are childhood lovers and have been together for six years when their relationship ends because of Danny and him wanting to pursue a rockstar career.

What I really liked and enjoyed about Ghost Note was that the focus was on the relationship and history between Daisy and Danny. Yes, the reader will meet Danny’s band members and get concert performances but the main focus is on the couple. What went wrong and why? How they’ve both changed and grown in the years they had been apart. How will they find a way back to one another? It was a wonderful story.
The author made it easy for me to connect with Danny and Daisy. They’re really likable and their chemistry is amazing. The flashbacks only strengthened my connection to them.
Daisy’s best friend Gina and Danny’s band members are terrific and intriguing characters as well.

Ghost Note can easily be read as a stand-alone. Yes, the characters from the book Dirty Rock appeared but it didn’t ruin it for me. On the contrary, I now want to read that book and get to know Rhett and Jules on a deeper level.
Ghost Note is a fabulous second chance romance. I enjoyed everything about this story. Especially all the feels the story brought out in me. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This Rockstar Romance series has quickly became one of my favourites.
From Cherry Beats to Dirty Rock and now GHOST NOTE, no story is the same. They each have their own amazing adventure inside their pages. I am living for these Rock gods and the feisty strong women that love them!

When I finished the prologue and it had already broken my heart a little bit, I knew then, this story was going to take me in a completely different direction to the one I expected.
When I got 40% in and I had to stop and catch my breath. To try and calm the ache in my chest and settle the lump in my throat, I came to the realisation that I LIVE for the love stories Vicki James creates.

Daisy and Danny absolutely ruined me. They may be from the same small town but somehow they end up worlds apart!
Seeing them come back together and learn to love the new versions of each other was a sweet, breathtaking form of torture. It’s angsty, it’s emotional and in true Vicki James fashion it’s full of ALL the chemistry! Like damn!

There’s always so much I want to say when I finish one of these books, I can never find the words though! I truly think it’s a book you need to read and experience for yourself

All I can say is I’m in love with the words this author writes.

I’m in total awe of this book. Danny and Daisy and their story, their journey through the years is breathtaking and so heartbreaking at times. It’s so beautiful and perfect, definitely pulls at the old heart. The power of the words make you really believe that you can fight for want you want in this world.

Danny and Daisy WOW WOW WOW. Just get that cold shower ready.

Read this book, Vicki James I just say , thank you for this story and amazing journey.

Time stood still for me while I was reading this one from Vicki James.
Dare I say I have a new rockstar obsession!!! Danny Silver is the s^*t. How does Vicki James do this?
She brings us Presley, then Rhett, and now Danny!
It really it too much all at once, but oh I can tell you this one hits the top of every passion radar in my universe. I fell in love with Danny's bravery and Daisy's strength. Their love goes beyond all imagination and defines the true essence of finding your home.

Just look at this magic:
"Without another word, he began to lift me slowly, before he dropped me back down again even slower, his strength guiding me into a rhythm that created the most perfectly torturous friction I'd ever felt. Curling my arms around his neck a little tighter, I dropped my damp forehead to his and kept my eyes open, letting him guide the way. His hands were made for making sweet music, and I felt every melody running through my veins as I stared at him, breathing him in. I was the first instrument he'd ever learned how to play, and nothing could ever change that."

Boom! That's as pure as it gets!
Five Rockstar Stars and an encore performance.

"That heart had been rebuilt with glue; the pieces awkward now, not quite fitting together as smoothly as they once had."

"My body was at war with my heart, and I had no idea how I was going to get them to live together in harmony anymore."

"Who care about love and heartbreak when a man looked at you like you were the only woman he'd ever seen in the crowd."

When you have a writer with as much talent at Vicki James, you know that the next few hours or days that it takes you to read her work is going to be satisfying and blissful. Reading Ghost Note was no exception. From beginning to end this story lulled me into a contented and joyful version of word heaven. There was so much goodness about it. Firstly there were the perfect characterisations of Danny and Daisy. As separate characters they were the absolute depiction of naïveté and stubborn pride - two young people who couldn't see how one word, one call, could have saved them five years of heartache. Together they were the epitome of a great love story. Every single interaction they had made my stomach and chest hurt with the pain and want that flew from the pages. They were real. As for Vicki's words, yet again her skill at weaving something monumental from a bunch of letters was evident. She always manages to be evocative in her prose, painting vivid pictures of first love, first heartache and finding your the ultimate prize. She is an amazing writer, but at her absolute best when showing us the light and shade of past and present. Her flashback scenes are heart clenching because you know what is to come, making them all the more painfully beautiful. Along with the perfect playlist this book has found itself a cosy little place in my heart and I'm not sure I'll ever let it go. And with that I'll leave the last word to Danny Silver.

"Daisy had been my ghost note for so long-the faint yet integral part of the song no one else could hear...now she had become the whole damn song. The loudest riff, the smoothest chord progression, the most natural beat."

Ghost Note is an unforgettable rockstar romance book that I read far too quickly and am now sad it’s all over.

Daisy is an amazing loveable character, and my heart broke for how Danny left her all those years ago. I wanted to hate Danny like Daisy did.

Danny is unlike most rockstars, he doesn’t seem to have let stardom go to his head, he’s not lost himself in drink and drugs. He’s there for the music. Although he walked away from Daisy years ago, she still holds his heart. Even if she doesn’t know it.

Ghost Note has all the feels and I didn’t ever want to put the book down.
This book had me laughing and crying and getting mad. I seriously hope there will be more in this series! I really would love Daisy to become a famous singer herself!

Five stars from me!

Man where do I even start with “ghost note” this book has all the feels! And I devoured this book! I just couldn’t stop turning those pages I absolutely hands down adored Danny and Daisy’s story what a ride this book has been! This is my first read from vicki James and it will not be my last! I will be looking for more books written by this author in the future!

I loved Daisy I really felt for her over her break up with Danny she was completely besotted by Danny and when he left to pursue his music career she was utterly heart broken!

I really wanted to hate Danny I wanted him to be the villain of this story.. but I just couldn’t! I fell head over heels for this man! He’s not the typical rockstar that goes into drugs or drinks excessively he’s the same guy he was before he hit the fame and he’s never forgotten his roots this book has a powerful message in it about self love in order to make someone happy you have to be happy with yourself! And I applaud the author for this life lesson!

I loved Danny and Daisy’s chemistry My kindle was smoking! This book is truly phenomenal and it’s one of the best rockstar romances I’ve read in a long time I can’t recommend this book enough to readers so if you enjoy second chances/ rockstar romances then add this to your TBR list and get #oneclicking

I received an early advanced copy in exchange for an honest review

I adore this author & all the worlds she brings to life so consistently & so vividly, which never fail to transport me into a world so far away, yet so touchable with a turn of a page,. The way she so effortlessly creates a place I feel I’ve visited or lived in, the people who I feel I know & have been friends with for an eternity is something i now crave , as I get comfy with a wine & a blanket, ready to dive in.

Delighted to say Ghost Notes was the perfect tonic for my book slump, with so many laughs, sighs, swoons & tears as I gave myself over to everything Danny & Daisy. I seriously love a second chance love story, especially when it’s filled with memories of a past which carries so much love & joy, even if it is wrapped in regret & heartache.

Their story filled my heart & hurt it a good bit too, but blimey was it worth it.

Well. She. Did. It. Again.

Danny and Daisy are my new favourite couple from Miss James, I was so in love with their chemistry, their drama and the angst that flows in this book. By no means is this a light read. If you’re expecting that then maybe this is not for you but this is a book worth the read. The chemistry is so so so so so so damn hot! I swooned multiple times and I still literally cannot forget some of the scenes, that is how much I love this story!

Daisy is in the middle of being angry and sad about the past and the future. She is not fragile but her heart is hurting and this makes me just want to hug her and tell Danny to stop being a stupid (insert bad word).

Danny. Broody hot rockstar. I don’t think I need to elaborate more to be honest because that has already sold me on this book. So the only thing left to say is read it.

Pick this up, you won’t regret it!

This author knocks it out of the park EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

I definitely felt all the feels when I was reading this story . My kindle did not leave my hands until I finished this amazing book .

What do you do when your dream future, the love of your life , tells you that they are leaving to follow their dreams of being a rockstar ?

This is what Daisy Piper has to try to figure out when, the person she saw herself with for the rest of her life , Danny Silver, says that he can't stay in Hope Cove , Devon , where they grew up , he has to spread his wings and follow his dreams .

Daisy has always put others before herself, their happiness before her own . She's still doing it five years after Danny walked away ........ but then Danny comes back to town , pitting Daisy's heart and mind against each other .

Love never dies, it just waits until it can knock the couple's heads together , then BOOM , love and commonsense wins out.

This book is a 100% must read

Ghost Note begins with long time couple Danny Silver and Daisy Piper out for a walk along the shore. The last thing that Daisy ever expected was for Danny to tell her he was leaving to pursue a music career with his fellow bandmates. Broken hearted, Daisy does the only thing she can……….she runs.

Years later, Daisy finds herself in a pretty good place. She has a gift shop that does well and enjoys the tourists who stroll in and out. She also has a male friend, Ben, with whom she sees regularly. Her anchor, though, is her best friend, Gina, who also happens to be her silent business partner. Gina was also the one who helped put Daisy back together after Danny left and he hasn’t been seen in their hometown since.

Daisy and Gina are together, later, when Gina receives a phone call. Daisy immediately knows something is wrong. Gina tells her that Danny’s grandmother has passed away, which upsets Daisy. They had been close for years, but what infuriates Daisy more is the fact that she knows he won’t show up for the funeral……..because he didn’t even come for his parents’ services.

Daisy and Gina attend the service and then later go to a small gathering. As they sit having a drink, Jackson, Gina’s little brother, runs in with some big news of his own: the one and only Danny Silver is indeed in town. Daisy feels everyone’s eyes on her and the news is delivered. Finding herself a bit overwhelmed by the attention, she leaves and heads out. She later is so restless that she decides to walk down to the beach for some fresh air. She is sitting alone when she sees someone headed towards her. Yep, Danny Silver. The encounter doesn’t go well and Daisy makes her way back home.

Of course, with her hometown being so small, she was bound to run into Danny. And, she did. However, when he finally convinces her to talk to him, things that she thought she knew ended up being a little more complicated than she had ever known. She now finds herself doubting everything that she thought she knew not only about Danny, but about her heart.

Ghost Note is a wonderfully written story of second chances. Daisy and Danny are both wonderfully written. The two had been together since they were fourteen, so the breakup was hard on them both. They had both tried to move on from each other, but when it is revealed that they both had failed spectacularly, you feel your heart melt just a little more. They have mega chemistry, but when truths are revealed and Daisy sees what could have been, and gets a taste of it? It. Is. Palpable. The secondary characters are well written and intriguing as well. I had no idea this is a series, but can totally be read as a stand alone. I will go back and read the previous stories though, because Ghost Note was that good. If you’re a fan of the genre, you’ll not go wrong with this one. Well done, Vicki James!

Boom - Vicki James has knocked this one out of the park!! Rock Star romances are one of my favourite trope’s, I literally can’t get enough of them and this series is just getting better and better with each book and is going to be up there as one of my favourites!

Ghost Note grabbed me from that prologue and I knew I was in for an emotional ride when it had tugged at my heart strings! Boy was I not wrong! I absolutely loved Danny and Daisy’s story .... when Danny left to follow his dream of being a guitarist in a rock band, Daisy was left devastated and broken-hearted in the sleepy seaside Devon village that they had grown up in! Memories of the life they could have had surrounded her but she picked herself up and attempted to live again, opening her own gift shop, even dating but she never truly put the past behind her!

When Danny returns following the death of his grandmother bringing all his rock star hotness with him, all those feelings she convinced were gone came rushing back! She tries to avoid him but the draw is too strong and what becomes evident is that he has never stopped loving her and the feeling is mutual!

This book has all the feels and more! On more than one occasion I felt my heart stutter with the emotion and the depths of the feeling they had for each other! I cheered them on willing for things to be put right, for them to have their happy ever after, for the ghosts to be laid to rest!! I furiously turned the pages, eager for the end but not wanting it to either!

Well done Vicki, well done ... another heart stopping read

I adore Danny and Daisy their second chance love story takes you on a journey of their past and present, and emotional trip that will grab you by the heart and hold you captive until the end.
A Rockstar and a small town girl could never work, especially when that girls heart was broken by the Rockstar when he was just her Danny....but he Left to pursue his dream and now he is back temporarily and she is Angry. But coming face to face with Danny Silver after 5 years feels like no time has passed at all and feelings that were once buried begin to stir once more.
Vicki James encapsulates the very essence of Rockstar Romance writing perfectly believable characters and senarios that make you feel everything in that moment with them.
Ghost Notes is a beautifully Romantic, sentimental, sexy Rockstar extravaganza and an exciting thrill ride that I found very hard to let go of. The Creme de la Creme of Rockstar Romance Vicki James is THE BEST .
I highly recommend it.

An EPIC rockstar romance like no other!

I’ve read ALOT of Rockstar Romance, and I truly haven’t read books like those of Vicki James, each one is a true standalone despite little glimmers of our favourite character scattered through each from Cherry Beats, Dirty Rock to Ghost Note each is unique.

Ghost Note is a book you will absolutely devour, it’s passionate, angsty and down right hot!

Danny Silver is the hot rockstar you love to hate.

Daisy is the home loving girl you want to take the risk.

Together these two are set to go to battle, each one forced to face the past, open old wounds and see if the just might survive.

Together? I’ll leave that up to you to find out.

P.S the cameo by my little person Sienna Lloyd made my freaking life- just saying

P.P.S Halo need his own book as does Gina ;)

And the lady does it again.
Another phenomenal story. The words have lead me on an emotional roller coaster. Young love; lost and unrequited feelings; second chances; rockstars and everything that goes along with them.
Daisy and Danny are a couple who's story will leave you that warm smile and odd bleary eyes as you follow them on their road to possible happiness.

A second chance at love.

Daisy and Danny were childhood sweethearts but he leaves her behind in their small Devonshire town when he goes off to follow his dreams.

Now a successful rockstar, Danny Silver is back and wants to heal the hurt he caused by leaving.

Daisy and Danny's story is heartbreakingly sad and beautifully constructed. In the world of romancelandia, we expect an HEA but I have NEVER rooted for a couple as much as I rooted for Daisy and Danny.

Every reader has to experience, for themselves, the healing that Vicki James makes possible in her flawlessly written words that makes it possible for this, destined to be together, couple to find their way to each other.

A must read!!

A breathtaking second chance romance.

I loved the connection they shared. Danny was sweet and boy was he charming. Daisy was strong willed and I loved how this story pulled at your heartstrings.
I enjoyed this story I do wish Danny had more chapters I would have loved his POV more. I just couldn't get enough of him and needed more.
This was a sweet, entertaining, magical story that had you smiling through out. Another great rocker romance with enough angst and edge to have you falling in love.
