Every killer has a weakness. She's the one woman I can't have. She's forbidden to the Bellandi men. Yet after one look in her honey eyes, I need to carve myself into her soul so deeply, Sadie will never forget she's mine. Nobody else sees through her façade. She's a mess of contradictions. Full of jagged edges that threaten to pull me apart at the seams and unleash the beast who lurks beneath my skin. I'll be her shelter through the storm. I can't resist her fire and rebellion. But when she's threatened by my enemies, I'll risk everything to keep her safe from the man who seeks to use her as a weapon against me. Even if it costs me my humanity. Shielded Wrongs is a full-length standalone novel, but the series presents a better listening experience when following the suggested listening order. This series contains dark elements, including an over-the-top antihero who does as he pleases. Please read at your own discretion.

Sadie and Enzo!

What can I say

I love her sass and his alpha-ness .

Enzo has been put in charge of Sadie's safety and neither of them expected eachother. As soon as his eyes landed on her, he wanted her and Sadie knew she was in trouble. These two honestly are my ride and die couple!.

Enzo cages a beast and doesn't let the chains slip.. but where Sadie is concerned, let's just say they get loosened. Sadie hides behind her chaotic booty but she never realised Enzo would notice her so closely that she has no choice but to be more open with him.

These two are a wild ride and you can't help but love them. Throw in a dog, a great plot and steamy scenes and you have such a good read!.

This was fun to revisit. Enzo is actually *slightly* tamer than some of the other boys.

I hope we still get Yavens story eventually.

4 stars
4.5 on the spice scale

I forgot there was this much sexy content: anal, ropes, knife play, spanking, and more!

Ms. Forrest (IMO at least) has pulled off a wonder of literary romance with 'Shielded Wrongs'.

1) Normally I (personally) am not a big fan of tough kick b*tt uber independent heroines. Which Sadie most definitely IS. However I found I greatly admired, liked & empathized with her. (Color me SHOCKED).
2) I adore over the top uber jealous possessive Alpha male anti-Heroes. Which Enzo IS.
3) I do not care for an OTT Uber JP Alpha being 'gentled' into a character 180 degrees from where he started. That does NOT happen in 'Shielded Wrongs' I am delighted to say.
4) Ms. Forrest does a SUPERB job of matching Sadie & Enzo, of allowing them to acknowledge, admire, respect & come to peace with the others nature, needs & flaws.

What truly drew my interest in this story was wondering HOW on earth two such INTENSE, DRIVEN & INFLEXIBLE people would be able to form ANY type of relationship beyond sizzling s*x.

Sadie has a rabid drive to make her retired father's boxing gym a success despite the fact she's not a son. She is a tiny (5'0") tornado powerhouse that can wipe up the mat with virtually any male. She gives the gym 1,000% of her time & energy, not only because she wants her father's pride but because she wholeheartedly loves the gym, boxing & teaching self protection classes to abused & frightened women & men. She also has a lifelong secret she's successfully hidden from not only her friends, but her loving family. Sadie does NOT have time or interest in a relationship with a male, especially a BELLANDI Alpha male.

Enter Lorenzo 'Enzo' as her unwanted Bellandi assigned bodyguard. He's physically huge, daunting, ALPHA & determined to protect the teeny tiny tornado named Sadie from ANY & ALL danger/harm. And the more she resists him, fights him, outwits him, the more intrigued, enticed & excited he is for his Baby Girl (this is a nickname, nothing to do with Daddy Dom, etc). He's uber observant & intuitive & he is the first & only one to truly 'see' Sadie, who understands her 'quirks & implusiveness' are actually indicators of something much deeper than first appears.

There's danger, angst, family (his & hers ~ both families large & loving), tension, violence & a wonderful rescue dog. And SIZZLE. Intense SIZZLE. And all of these are perfectly balanced for a read that will keep the reader hooked, intrigued & invested in the plot, characters & outcome from the first page to the last.

But for me personally, the diamond of this gem of a dark romance was how neither character had to become someone they weren't. Give & take? Yes. Some compromise & understanding? Yes. But ultimately Sadie & Enzo remained Sadie & Enzo.
And that, I loved.

Adelaide Forrest is quickly becoming one of my most favourite authors, and she hit it out of the park again with her newest addition to her Bellandi Crime Syndicate series, Shielded Wrongs.

Like the other three books (#1 - Bloodied Hands, #2 - Forgivable Sins, #3 - Grieved Loss), you are thrown into the world of the alpha anti-hero and their obsessive desire for their love interest. Bellandi men do not simply court their women - they claim. They do not do anything in half measure and this book is no different. I didn’t think that I would love a couple more than I did with Lino and Samara in Forgivable Sins, but there was a rawness and openness that I didn’t expect with our newest couple; Enzo and Sadie.

Sadie is a heroine that I can get behind - strong, independent and can kick ass. She is anything but helpless and I enjoyed reading about the fireworks that come from throwing a headstrong woman into a relationship with someone like Enzo. He’s sure of himself, he knows what he wants, and what he wants is Sadie. And he’ll stop at nothing to claim her and protect her, even if she feels like she doesn’t need protecting or saving. These two were literal fire, probably the most erotically charged read out of the four books thus far.

Also, I really enjoyed the weaving of mental health awareness into this story - something that isn’t talked about enough, and something that can leave people with a sense of shame, was tackled with care and deepened my connection to the characters. Both of these characters have their own demons, and yet they come together in such a beautiful way that their battles are fought together, and I felt like they were one of the most connected pairings right off the hop.

Now - like all the books in this series, I feel like there should be an important disclaimer. The men in this series are possessive, alpha, and are definitely not your typical knight in shining armour. They scratch the surface of obsession and aren’t above using tactics that some may consider crossing the line. However, if you can handle such obsessive love, you will be rewarded with a happily ever after - criminal underworld style.

Do yourself a favour, pick up the first three books in the series if you decide to enjoy this one - while you don’t need to start with them to read this book, I highly recommend starting from the beginning to get a better understanding of the supporting cast of characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, and our newest anti-hero: Scar.

We all know from the previous books Sadie is a BADA$$. She is a tough cookie that takes no crap. She can put a grown man on his butt in 2 sec flat. She is the best friend anyone would want. Enzo is so dark and shows no emotions, but can he, as the head of security for the Bellandi Syndicate. His past is always right there to haunt him so he keeps up a guard. Then these two are thrown at each other with the war around them and the first time he meets her he knew he was in trouble. She is a spitfire that takes no direction from anyone and is always in control, and Enzo is not ever told no. Adelaide Forrest does it again. This dark romance had me hanging on to every page. All of the characters from the previous books are growing with each storyline and it is beautiful to read...

I absolutely loved Enzo and Sadie's story! This couple pulled at my heart strings with their anxieties and compulsive behaviors. It felt totally real and very touching, so much so that I experienced it in my heart ❤
I loved Rebel on this story!
The Bellandi men are possessive and over the top with their jealousies when it comes to their women.
I can't wait for Irina and Scar's story!

I’m constantly stunned at just how good and addictive this series is, be warned lts quite graphic and holds no punches.
If you have triggers that involve violence, aggressive behaviour, blood or guns, to name but a few, then this is not for you.
I don’t and loved it.

hmm..i feel like this one could be way better if Sadie wasn't like that.. wild like she described her self.
I truly don't like her, she is very unlikable and i couldn't stand how she parade her past intimacy to Enzo's face ,ok once...but 3-4 times? no thank you. Other than that, i didn't like her character and her behavior....
Another thing that made me kind of not being into it 100% is that they jump right into it..they saw each other and that's it, she is his, ok i like the insta attraction but in this case i felt it was to rushed and also built on nothing, if you get what i mean, in the other books they have a connection, some of them a past, a present , or stalking, but this time, nope, it was kinda random.
I kept reading because i liked Enzo and how he handled her even tho the last half was kind of boring, i had to force my self to keep reading, and i skipped trough it... unfortunately ....but i'm so ready for Yrvin and Rafe books!

I'm not sure why I didn't review this the first time I read it! Shilelded wrongs is my favorite Bellandi book. Enzo and Sadie fill each other's jagged missing pieces. This one is just as action packed and Enzo is over the top possessive and bossy, but the characters themselves are a little lighter, even Matteo.

First, if you haven't read the other 3 Bellandi series books, DO IT! You don't "have to" have read them to enjoy this book, but trust me, you want to. Ms. Forrest has woven a rare treat with the Bellandi world, and I am so very excited to see where it goes from here. Enzo is as alpha as they come, yet he constantly tries to meet Sadie at her comfort level; he is a hard man, but man with morals and he isn't the monster he sees himself as. I didn't really "click" with Sadie, but that's on me. She isn't my cup of tea. That said, she is a wonderfully developed character with her own ideas, a kick Ass personality, and by the end of the book, I feel like she's much more accepting of herself. The level of understanding Enzo has for Sadie and her needs is astounding, and while the book packs all the heat I've come to expect from the Bellandi men, it doesn't let you down on the action either. Seriously, I can't say enough about it.

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. In short y'all: Go read this book now!

Shielded Wrongs is book 4 in the Bellandi Crime Syndicate series. Another dark mafia romance to love 😁 and I did! This might be the sweetest and least forceful and dominant story in the series - still with a lot of danger, intense situations, murder and suspense.. but the love was more natural and not as forced.

Sadie and Enzo both have baggage and issues, but they compliment each other so beautifully! The desire, the insecurities, the passion and protectiveness.. they both have jagged edges but their chemistry and emotional connection makes it work.

Sadie is a badass ! Strong, independent, sassy, free spirit, but also a bit reckless. She hides parts of herself from the world and sees her compulsive tendencies as flaws that will turn people away.. but Enzo finds her vulnerability and quirks endearing.
Enzo has a darkness inside and ptsd and night terrors that brings it out, this doesn’t deter Sadie.. their story is absolutely great! and I think it’s around 4.75⭐️’s for me

This was another good one in this series. You've got another OTT, possessive hero who goes all in on his woman. Although, he was not as extra as the previous heroes in the series.

I loved how strong and badass the heroine was. She was able to defend herself and take down big men a couple of times in this book. Enzo becomes her bodyguard after she is attacked, and he immediately moves her into his home. He claims her as his woman and makes the moves to make her be his. The heroine did get kind of annoying with her fear of commitment, but that always bugs me in books.

This is a fun and spicy romance. It has a lot of sexy times, voyeurism, anal, lap dancing, etc.

I was so enamored with this book I couldn’t put it down. Adelaide did not disappoint with the ongoing saga of the Bellandi family. Sadie, strong, independent Filipino woman meets alpha Italian male. Of course all hell breaks loose. Enzo can see all of Sadie which she tries to hide from the world. With a war raging all around them, will Sadie realize she can love wholeheartedly or will she keep Enzo at arms length?
Enzo is a typical alpha, he wants Sadie to be her wild self but wants to protect her from the world as well.
This book has it all. A strong alpha female and hot alpha male, action, Love and twists and turns you don’t see coming! This book left me on the edge of my seat until the very last sentence! I cannot wait to see where the series goes!! If you haven’t picked up a book by Adelaide Forrest you are truly missing out on a hot, steamy, action packed mafia series!

•This book reminded me what I love about my heroes! •

I loved that a minority heroine was represented in this book. I loved how the author embedded the Filipino culture without being too boring for readers who may not relate. Just about our foods and our endearments. I appreciate it.

I also loved how the author don't copycat her heroes, making them the same replica of the other. They are all their own brand of J/P, overprotective, caveman-like heroes we all love to read!

The heroine was a kickass all on her own without making the hero look weak. A fighter through and through but also knowing her limits and weaknesses. She's also barely five feet which makes me love this more as the hero was way taller than her! LOL

Enzo and Sadie are amazing ! Enzo is so possessive and jealous which l love and Sadie is a free spirit who has an adventurous but wreckless streak . They both deal with mental health issues and I have to say I have read many books with PTSD, but this author did an amazing job on Sadie’s OCD and anxiety as well . I could almost feel what the character was feeling . Sadie needed the discipline and protection that Enzo provided but he also allowed her to be herself . The Bellandi men are the best book boyfriends . Every single book that I have read by this author has been nothing short of amazing . I can’t wait for more sassy heroines and crazy alpha men . There is always mob action and tons of steam . Keep’em coming Adelaide!

Adelaide Forrest did not disappoint in this 4th installment in the Bellandi Crime Syndicate series! I could not wait for Lorenzo's story. I knew Sadie would be a spitfire and a handful, but I had no idea just how much I would love her! Lorenzo was the perfect hero. His admiration for Sadie and his need to protect her was completely endearing. He loved her as she was and only wanted to keep her safe while she let her wild side free. These two set the pages on fire with their sexy banter and their hot-beyond-hot sexy times!
This series is a breath of fresh air in a year of uncertainty. The little teases throughout the story of future characters and upcoming books in the series have me giddy for what's to come!

I love the concept but I can’t handle the authors writing style. Not for me. One character would speak then after 4 pages of inner monologues and descriptions the other character would reply and I couldn’t even remember what the 1st one said after all the droning on and on in between. I can’t handle that.
So this authors style isn’t for me. But the idea was good.

Sometimes a story or a character will surprise you and that was the case here. Sadie has been a secondary character from book one, she’s Ivory’s best friend and we got to know her as a strong, energetic, sassy gym owner. I liked Sadie as a secondary character but I was a bit worried that her personality would be too strong to be a good love match with a dominant Bellandi man but the writer proved me wrong and I would go so far as to say that ‘Shielded wrongs’ actually became one of my favourite stories in this series.

Sadie is very familiar with the Bellandi men, her best friend is married to one after all, so Sadie knows how dominant they behave with their women and the last thing that Sadie wants or needs in her life is a dominant guy, so she keeps her distance from the Bellandi men. But that all changes when Sadie is attacked at her house one night and Ivory and Matteo decide that Sadie needs a bodyguard. Because this attack shows that the Bellandi’s recent enemy is becoming more and more brutal and isn’t afraid to attack only family but also friends. Sadie doesn’t want to hear about it but Lorenzo Vescovi (better known as Enzo) leaves her no choice! He just takes her home with him and that is the start of their story because Enzo knows with just one look that Sadie is THE woman for him and not even Matteo’s warning to keep his hands to himself will stop Enzo to make Sadie his. But what most people don’t know about Sadie (not even her family!) is that she suffers from OCD and ADHD. Which makes that she finds some situations difficult. She’s very good at hiding it but Enzo is very observant and he soon notices something about her. Enzo will do anything in his power to convince Sadie that they belong together and that he accepts her just the way she is.

Just like in the previous stories, you got both POV’s in this story. The story was more emotional and deeper than I expected. The reason for that was the hidden layers in the personalities of both Sadie and Enzo. Before I started this story I thought I knew Sadie’s character very well but I was wrong and I was pleasantly surprised by the many hidden layers of her personality. Her energetic, confident and sassy attitude hid a very vulnerable side of her. Her OCD made her unsure and doubtful of herself. It made her question if a man would be able to accept her and love her like she really was. The same was true for Enzo, because of his time in the army, he suffered from PTSD and sometimes had flashbacks to distressing events that happened in the past. Both tried to hide their vulnerability but if you live together that’s hard to do. I really loved how both Enzo and Sadie understood the other’s problems so well and did their best to help in their own way. How they supported the other and accepted it. Enzo was just like the other guys in this series very dominant but he’s also smart enough to understand that Sadie also needed to get wild now and then. That she needed to unleash all her energy to feel good. And he gave her that space but on his terms and although Sadie rebelled against it, she never put herself in real danger and I liked that very much, especially with all the danger surrounding them. I had fun with Sadie’s and Enzo’s large families. It was lovely to see them interact with them. Of course we saw a lot of familiar characters again and it was so wonderful to see how they were doing and to see the wonderful bond between the women and the men. We were also introduced to a few new characters, some very dangerous men (who have their own books in other series). I’m very curious now to read their stories too.

The story ended with such dramatic news (involving the next couple) that I immediately started the next book after reading this one. My curiosity forced me to it, I just couldn’t wait.

‘Shielded wrongs’ was a great story and I loved Sadie and Enzo very much.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!

I.AM.DEAD. I cannot with these two, I swear to God I got butterfly when they finally meet at the beginning of this book. After dancing around each other, despite they are supposedly being in the same circles for 3 whole books, Sadie and Enzo never met (can you believe?). And that first meeting anticipation was so REAL, when Enzo called her “carina” (cute), I screamed!

"𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙚."
"𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙚 𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙚"

Sadie is my favorite character from the first time I met her in book 1, for some reason I never caught that she was Filipina, maybe I wasn’t paying too much attention. And I love that representation, from her “no filter” mom, big happy family, and the food! She’s so bad-ass, and she uses her skills and resources to help abused women, and that is admirable. Enzo is a dream, he’s actually the least unhinged out of the Bellandi’s men so far, he just protects Sadie, not that she needed any, the girl can kick ass.

I cannot stress enough how okay I am with the instalove in this book, some people have issues with it, but I DON’T. Instalove can work in a book, depending on how the author set the premises, I know their background from previous books, and the other series Beauty in Lies. These men aren’t like normal men. The lives they live mean they take what they want. They wanted the woman: they took them. And I’m all for it. The reason why this work so well for me, it’s because Sadie is actually pushing back and taking no shit from Enzo, and he got no chance of forcing himself in any way that Sadie didn’t allow. This one is now my current favorite from this series!

I have read all of the prior 4 installments in the Bellandi series and have gushed over all of the alphas in them (especially Ryker in Grieved Loss book 2) However, this is the first time I gushed over the heroine! Sadie is awesome! Don't get me wrong Enzo is definitely a yummy hot alpha mafioso but Sadie is the first lady of the series that is a true badass! She can go toe to toe with many men physically and certainly gives Enzo a run for his money emotionally. I love that she's no simpering doormat waiting for a man to save her. In fact they often need protection from her!

Enzo and Sadie were smoking up my e-reader with their chemistry and passion even when Sadie is trying to resist. I love that she is fiercely independent almost as much as I love that Enzo is determined to make her his. If is a back and forth game of cat and mouse that they are playing with Enzo leading the chase. He will stop at nothing until Sadie becomes his. It's instalove and instalust that is filed with fireworks.

But amid the sparks of desire between Enzo and Sadie their is danger. Sadie has become an unwitting pawn in a war against the Bellandi Family and Enzo must do whatever it takes to protect her even as Sadie tries to guard her heart from him.

This book was my favorite of the Bellandi series and the most fun to read. I loved that Enzo and Sadie were so perfectly matched in spirit and chemistry. Sadie made me smile with her spunky ways even as I was cheering for her to lose her fruitless love battle against Enzo. These two were a fun and sexy read! I hope there is more books to come from this series. Maybe even a second generation of Bellandis...

You know what I love about blogging?! I get to meet so many new to me authors, and I'm super glad that I've finally made Adelaide Forrest's acquaintance, because I now know I was missing out. I had the previous 3 books so I read them in order, and seriously, I actually spent a whole weekend immersed in her world to the point that I had a hard time even going to sleep as I didn't want to put any of them down. Enzo (our alpha antihero) keeps his dangerous guy locked up, that is until he is tasked with keeping Sadie (our crazy strong heroine) safe, and it's not long before all bets are off if anyone tries to harm her. Sadie is a girl with more to her than meets the eye, and Enzo is the guy who actually saw past her shield which made them perfect for each other, and the potent chemistry shooting sparks everywhere didn't harm anything either so they were super easy to cheer for. However, I'm not saying that they didn't go toe to toe more than once because they did, and it definitely entertained me HARD! Now that's all that I'm going to say about that because I don't want to inadvertently ruin the story for anyone else as that would be a crime. So, hit those one click buttons & don't start it before bed or plan on being overly tired! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

4STARS!!!

Thsi is the 4th book in the series and it can be read as a stanalone but its better to read the series in order because it helps in understanding the events better.

This book is about Saddie, who is the best friend of Ivory and Enzo, who is a bellandi man. Saddie owns a gym and she gives women free self defence classes, she appears to be very strong from the outside but inside she is very vulnerable, she was diagnosd with ADHD in her childhood and her family is not aware that she also has OCD. She wants to prove herself to her father but she thinks that firsty being a daughter and secondly her habits will fail her in her father's eyes. Enzo is the only person who sees through her.

one night after an attack on saddie by the enemy of the Bellandi's enzo is put to the job of protecting her.

i really enjoyed reading this book and i loved the characters and I'm eagerly waiting for the release of the next one.

A deliciously hot mafia romance. It’s an interconnected series, but the books can be read as standalone if you don’t want to read all of them…

But I promise you, if you read this book, you will!

Something about a brute mafia man laying his eyes on a woman one time and then effortlessly pursuing her and ignoring all of her attempts at pushing him away is something I will always go for!

Sadie Hicks is awoken in the middle of the night to a man with a gun. Fortunately for her and unfortunately for him, she is trained in self defense and takes him down in moments. However, it does not sway the leader of the mafia her best friend married into. He demands she need protection, and Enzo is all too willing to be her body guard 😎

Read more to find out about all the things they do in her boxing gym.

Enzo and Sadie are pure fire. Both strong individuals who know what they want from life and aren't afraid to fight for it.
It was so very interesting to read how these two battled against each other as Enzo decided Sadie was his woman and she was his to protect and love for the rest of their lives.
These two definitely have their own mental health issues that they had to deal with themselves and had to learn about how to live with each other's issues. So great to have a story where we see that people who struggle with certain things can still be strong and fierce and live their very best lives.
I just love this series of Mafia alpha men and the women that they claim and this book has me super excited for the future book's.
