For six million years Mikhail has patiently waited; plotting and strategizing how he will exact his revenge against his siblings who betrayed him in the name of power.
What he did not account for nor anticipate was having a mate, much less a human mate.
Maeve, who in her youth, is headstrong and obstinate is also witty, and courageous. She believes in and fights fiercely for the liberation of her people, which many a times places her in life threatening predicaments.
Her position in Mikhail's life serves as both a weakness and an obstacle in his path for vengeance.
Concurrently, Mikhail's presence in her's pushes Maeve to pursue her purpose more fervently, often without regard for the consequences that may arise.
With their purposes placing them at odds with each other, what does that mean for their bond?
Will Mikhail forsake his vengeance for his mate?
Will Maeve give up her purpose for the sake of her mate?
Can the bond withstand the pressures of the obstacles they face?
"betrayal will have its revenge, but at what cost?"
It was a rollercoaster. A messy, irritating, beautiful, sad, heartfelt rollercoaster. This book has already topped as one of my favorites, it brought out emotions so strong it lasted me 6 hours to calm myself at 2 am. It is magnificently written, with relatable characters, people who you fall in love with, and pure craze. It’s messy but the kind you want to mess with, the kind you want to fall in, putting yourself into the story. It gave me great pleasure and honor to read this, as should it you.
This has to be the best book I've read in all of 2020. Mikhail is such a complex story. So many elements are explored in this book such as friendship and the price or revenge. How far are you willing to go to take revenge? How many people are you willing to lose and who and what are you willing to sacrifice?
Mikhail and Maeve's relationship was so bittersweet. Their character development is so well-written that I honestly cannot choose who developed better. Also, the chemistry and emotions between the characters were written and explored so well, even for the side characters. I just love the way Mikhail thinks of and sees Maeve as his equal rather than his possession. His character development was just incredible. Maeve literally glowed up; she went from being immature and bratty to a strong warrior who had her eyes opened to the horrors of the world and realised that she had the power to fight back. I loved it. I loved it even more that, as sad as it was, she didn't need Mikhail to know her strength and worth, and she didn't let his actions blind her to her "purpose". The ending might not satisfy a lot of people, but for this book, it was perfect.
This book would have been a full 5 stars if it was edited properly. There were a few spelling and grammar issues throughout it, which I think is a shame since the book is a literal masterpiece.
I loved this book. Independent publisher. Fantasy Romance. Great world building. Character driven story.
Spoilers below read at your own peril.
!!!!!! This is book one of a two book story. Why this is worth noting???? Because book two is not yet published in print and you will be dropped off a cliff hanger of an ending that is the climax of book one (Milhail.). You run the risk of feeling set adrift as you scour the web to find book two (Predator.)
I found it (2023) on Radish where I paid to read by the chapter. I think all in book two cost me $20ish.
Additional warning!!! Spoilers of the spoilers below!!!!
I say read at your own peril as the story is to good to quit at the end of Milhail. Though well crafted and an amazing ride you will experience withdrawal, emotionally dropped off a steep book ending climatic twist at what is essentially the midway point of these characters story. Hopefully you’ll be able to find book two quickly vs what I experienced -days of searching.
Oh and read the last 5 chapters in an uninterrupted space and time. With 1 possibly 2 boxes of Kleenex’s at hand. You will cry! And if interrupted, forced to put the book down during that last push …. I would not wish that angst on my worst enemy.

I’ve read Mikhail (&Predator) a long time ago, but it still somehow remained (after reading sh*t ton of books in the meantime) the best book that I’ve read in my life. The plot, char. development and characters themselves; everything is so well contrived and beautifully written. If you want to read a piece that is unique and different from others, this is the one.
The writing in this book had me a little all over the place, the plot was everything you want. A strong female lead with a matching mate to mirror her. The ending left me tweaking- for a lack of better words. I dont want to spoil anything, but after reading the physical copy separate from the Wattpad iteration, I couldn't prepare myself to relive the plot. The dynamic and will of the two leads is everything I look for in a book, I can only hope that I get an ending I will fall in love with it. Excited to read the following book...
Lantey takes the werewolf and fantasy genre to the next level and leaves you itching to read the next chapter. This pure emotional rollercoaster has you hooked to know what Maeve and Mikhail will do next. Tears, blood, and sweat, went into this novel and its shines through on each page. Highly recommend!
This book was recommended on Inkitt, so I started to read it on Wattpad then realised it was on kindle. I loved this book because it was not your run of the mill book and I quickly found myself immersed in it. I truly cannot wait for the 2nd book to come out!
This is the best book ever I would be continue to read this.It made me cry and laugh but overall I would definitely recommend someone that I know or a book group to read the awesome book.😁😁😁.
