I've been a Robin Covington fan for years, and now that she's writing for Harlequin Desire, I'm in heaven! Seducing His Secret Wife is book 2 in her Redhawk Reunion series and it opens with sexy flirtation, a one-night stand and an impromptu marriage in Vegas. That's the beginning and it only gets more awesome from there! Justin Ling and Sarina Redhawk are magic together. Utter magic. Both wounded, watching them try to navigate this relationship neither believes they want--but they so obviously do and more importantly need!--was so addictive I couldn't put the book down. Robin Covington, again, proved why she's one of my auto-buy authors. I can't wait for book three!

Actual Rating: 3.5 stars (rounding up)

Seducing His Secret Wife is a great example of blending over the top romantic fun with a sprinkling of more serious issues and representation we need more of. Justin Ling is a tech billionaire who meets a gorgeous stranger in Vegas and drunkenly marries her. Only to find out she is the younger sister of his business partner. Serena Redhawk is former U.S. military and has only recently reconnected with her siblings after they were separated as kids and put into the foster care system. She's not interested in something permanent and what she's best at doing is running...

Here we get the over the top wealth and luxury you often find in a Harlequin from the desire line, but you also get a book that's touching on very real issues faced by Native kids put into the foster care system, separated from their family and culture. Also Justin is biracial (white and Chinese) and dyslexic. Granted, most of the book is focused on the relationship and steamy moments between the characters, but I love that this is the background woven in from an own-voices Native author. I love to see it! I find these categories enjoyable, quick reads even if I tend to want a little more development than you can get in about 200 pages. And they are definitely tropey, but I think this is a very solid version of this kind of book.

Thank you to Robin for the opportunity to review this Advanced Copy.

✨Justin Ling is one half of the billionaire duo behind RedHawk/Ling and happens to have a love of poker and women. That’s exactly how he finds himself married to his best friend’s sister after a drunk night in Vegas. Sarina RedHawk has been running for quite awhile and it looks like it’s finally caught up to her. When she met Justin, she had no idea he knew her long lost brother or that she’d be facing him again after she disappeared the morning after their wedding. They both agree that it’s best for all parties involved if they get the marriage annulled quickly and secretly, but what happens when fate has other plans?✨

✨Robin Covington is quickly becoming a must read author for me and the fact that she’s an Indigenous/Native American author just makes me love her even more. ✨

✨We were given a glimpse of Justin and Sarina in Taking on the Billionaire, but it still did not prepare me for how much I would love these two together. They’re literal opposites, thrust together but alcohol, Vegas, and family. One thing I loved about this is that we were able to explore both Sarina and Justin’s past. Though they grew up very differently, both have feelings of not being enough and never wanting to be alone or a burden. Sarina has spent most of her life in the foster system after being stolen from her family by non-Indigenous social workers and Justin is constantly being seen as a disappointment by his family. Both avoid deep personal connections because of this and so watching them open up was amazing. Once again, we have a cast of side characters that you can’t help but to love and steamy scenes that’ll me your toes curl and temperatures rise. This is definitely a book you don’t want to miss so get your hands on it when it’s released on 2/1!✨

Kitty's 5 star review
I am thoroughly enjoying the Redhawk family. And, now, best friend Justin is one of them. Robin Covington had me laughing and sighing , hoping and wishing throughout this story. Justin and Sarina were actually a match made in heaven, even if it took them a little time to figure it out.

From the beginning, I knew this story was going to be interesting. From Vegas back to the Silicon Valley, I was extremely curious as to how this story was going to play out. I wasn’t disappointed with how the story transpired at all. But, I certainly didn’t like Justin’s parents. Talk about being snobs! But, with the help of Nana Orla and Justin giving them an ultimatum, they came around … saw the way they were behaving and became the parents that he truly deserved.

But, there was the problem of big brother Adam that also had to be dealt with. And the problem with the clients they were trying to bring on board. And the problem with keeping the marriage a secret. And, the biggest problem … how do they not fall in love?

The chemistry between the Sarina and Justin jumped off the pages from the minute they met. I loved how they met. I loved how they found each other again. I loved the tree house. I loved the trip to the beach. But, most of all, I absolutely loved the ending. A tears in my eyes ending is what Robin Covington gave us. I was scared and happy … crying happy tears and smiling profusely.

Ms. Covington knows how to bring characters together and surround them with people who support them yet let them know when they mess up. Nana Orla was and is an amazing woman. Adam is still moody but working on it with the help of Tess. And Roan … guess we will have to wait and see. This was the perfect book to start off the new year. It was a story of new beginnings … for Justin and for Sarina. It was a story of family and what they mean to us. It was a true romance story.

Jennifer's 4 star review>
I love a story that starts off with impulsive decisions. Justin is in Las Vegas at a high stakes card game when he takes a break and meets a mysterious woman. Sarina had been aimlessly traveling and happens to be in Vegas and meets a handsome man. As things tend to happen in Vegas, they end up having too much to drink and venture to a wedding chapel and get married. When Justina wakes up the next day, his new wife is gone. Working on a plan to find her and have the marriage ended, he has to go to a party at his best friend and business partner’s, Adam, house. As luck would have it, his new wife is there and she is Adam’s sister. What happens next is a really great romance where they learn a lot about each other and decide to make a go of their marriage. Unfortunately, things start to fall apart and signals get crossed. I loved reading about these two characters and how much they grew both individually and as a couple. Nana Orla was definitely a highlight on this story, she was hilarious and all of her advice was on point. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a great romantic, and funny, story.

Justin Ling is the other half of a multi-millionaire enterprise. He's a poker player, a risk taker, but never a reckless one. Until the day he married a stranger.

What our hero doesn't know at the time is that she's not a stranger. Our heroine doesn't know either. It's true they never met before but he heard about her from his best friend and associate. And what is it about Justin that made the prickly and usually wary Sarina Redhawk let down her guard and agreed to a quicky wedding in Vegas?

A big surprise for the two of them when they meet one week later at her brother's family event and he learn the woman he married is his best friend's little sister.

Lust at first sight, instant connection, we all know how chemistry works, but how will they deal with the reality of marrying a stranger who's connected to people they know and will they be able to get an annulment before someone learn about it? And what about the yearning that makes two people ache to know about more than what make your partner ticks in bed?

The Redhawk Reunion series is about romance and love, but it's also about family. About 3 Cherokee siblings separated when they were children by the Indian Child Welfare Act and now reunited. Sarina is the one still harboring anger and bitterness and I could totally understand her reaction because how do you learn to be a family again after a wounded past? But despite her trust issues, she was open to get to know her husband too and that was one of my favorite thing about their relationship, the mutual interest they had to learn about the other and that they both own the mistake of their quicky wedding. It talks about their level of maturity. I felt in love with the MC in the first book but I felt even harder for Justin and Sarina. Their potent attraction and desire to communicate with each other was a beautiful thing to witness. And there's so many elements in this book that I loved but I can't list them all or you won't have any left to discover but let me just say that Justin's grandmother is a hoot and I love how Sarina chose the name of her dog.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honnest review.

P.S. I'm so ready for Roan's book!

Seducing His Secret Wife by Robin Covington is the story of a ‘quickie Vegas wedding’ that turns into a lifelong love, and is the second book in the Redhawk Reunion series.

Justin Ling loves a good poker game and sex with an adventurous woman, both traits that his business partner and best friend Adam Redhawk knows about and likes for Justin to keep on the down low, so as not to scare off their investors. But what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas especially when that something is wining, romancing and marrying his exciting one night stand who turns out to be none other than Adam’s little sister Sarina Redhawk!

Sarina and Justin don’t regret their night together, but without the influence of alcohol they definitely would not have gotten married. Neither is looking for a long term commitment. They’re both interested in a quiet divorce, one that won’t tip off the tabloids to their misadventure just as the Redhawk/Ling tech business is right on the edge of some critical investments. But somehow they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, even though they’re waiting for the paperwork to dissolve their mistake. Will they change their minds in time to give their marriage a real chance?

I’m really loving this series by Robin Covington! The premise starts with three siblings, Adam, Sarina and Roan who were separated from their parents and each other as part of the government’s shameful treatment of indigenous families. Sarina’s experience was particularly difficult being moved to different foster homes, a failed adoption and eventually aging out of the system with few choices and joining the army. Now she’s finished her last tour and out of the army, ready to see what the future has in store. After being found by Adam’s investigator ( in Taking on the Billionaire) and reuniting with her siblings, she’s tentatively learning to trust and feel part of the family.

This feeling intensifies with her marriage to Justin (even though it’s temporary) and his insistence that she leave the fleabag motel she’s been staying in and move in with his grandmother, a feisty Irish woman who gladly accepts Sarina into her home. Justin has issues with his parents, who’ve never appreciated how hard he’s worked to become a self-made businessman but his Nana has always understood and accepted him and he knows she’s the perfect choice to make Sarina feel wanted and loved.

Of course he is quite happy to show Sarina how wanted she is and there are several sexy scenes between them that threaten to make their divorce that much harder to go through with. Eventually after some rocky moments, they get their well deserved happy ending. This romance has everything I want, with characters to care about, both found and real life siblings, and the feeling of being invested in everyone’s happiness, not just the couple in question. I’m looking forward to Roan’s story next!

And Justin gets a story with Adam's sister, though he doesn't know it's her when they meet in Vegas! The old adage what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so doesn't apply here. This is a couple that's made for each other, they're what each other needs though they don't realize it at first. Love doesn't always have to come first in a great love story, good sex doesn't hurt though! It does take some patience and getting to know each other but they have time.....not a lot but just enough.

I love a great 'opposites attract' romance, and Justin and Sarina's sweet and steamy story was absolutely impossible to put down. Sarina has had a difficult life, never finding a permanent place in the foster care system. After leaving the armed services, she is trying to find a life and a place to call home. Justin loves numbers, puzzles, and pushing the envelope. He loves being free to take chances and gamble, that is until he meets a beautiful, intriguing woman at a casino bar. They have a wild night of fun, and sizzling passion. When Justin wakes up hungover the next morning, he realizes he is completely alone and also married. What happens in Vegas will not stay in Vegas this time, and Justin needs to fix his mistake before his potential investors realize what happened. Sarina bolted, needing time to recover, figure out who her husband was, and fix her mistake. But soon they meet again, finding out her brother is Justin's business partner. Adam and Justin have worked too hard on a potential business deal. To protect all their work, Justin and Sarina decide to lay low, and keep their marriage a secret until their divorce is final. But Justin and Sarina find it hard to deny what drew them to each other in the first place. They both had never felt good enough, always disappointing those around them. But together they felt accepted, worthy, and complete, scars and all. The more time they spent together, the more powerful their connection grew. But what happens when secrets are revealed and their world comes crashing in on them? Will they have the strength to fight for their HEA or is it easier to run? I loved the way Justin's bold and sweet side contrasted with Sarina's snarky, bada55 side, and their explosive chemistry leaped right off the page! There were so many fun and sweet moments and the poignant moments were so heartfelt and honest, adding a depth that kept me turning the pages. Robin Covington expertly weaves a story that makes you feel so many emotions and makes you beg for more. I loved every minute of this romance, and can't wait for Roan's book next in the Redhawk Reunion series.

Waking Up Married Perfection!

Sarina and Justin meet, fall into lust, get married, and then find out that her brother is his best friend and business partner!

I loved that Justin was able to crack Sarina’s tough outer shell to not only work his way into her heart but also create space for her brothers too! Sarina’s genuine like of Justin is so sweet and just what he needed to finally see himself they way his grandmother and best friend does.

I can’t wait for the final Redhawk sibling to find his HEA!

The author has done it again, engaged me in the outcome of the book right from the start. Once Justin Ling and Sarina Redhawk (although she tells him her name is Harley) meet and engage with each other, it’s clear they are a dynamic couple. But how far can sexual chemistry take a couple. Well, if your in Vegas...... all the way to the altar.

To later find out that Sarina is the recently found sibling of Justin’s best friend and business partner just places another obstacle in the way of their relationship. This story has all the drama, mystery and heat you can handle and stay engaged until the end.

Of course, Sarina and Justin get their HEA, and we also get quite a few glimpses of Tess and Adam. I love Nona Orla, she’s what everyone wants, a cool granny.

Reviewed on my blog, Becky on Books, on 2/1/21.

Let me start by saying I'm not really a "billionaire romance" kind of girl--and surprise pregnancies and secret, drunken Vegas weddings aren't my favorite tropes. Yet I binged both of the books in this series this weekend. Why? Because I'm 100% a Robin Covington romance reader, and I knew if anyone could make me love characters living those kinds of plot lines, it would be her.

I am happy to report that she did not disappoint! (Except that Roan's book isn't out yet...but I trust it's coming soon, yes? ;))

Those who have read the first book ( Taking on the Billionaire ) will be happy to know--as I was--that the thing Ms Covington didn't tell us at the end of that book *is* revealed here. (She is so lucky I read them back-to-back! She got some serious side-eye from me Saturday night when I finished the first book--I'm sure she felt it, several states away and all. Leaving us hanging like that...so mean!) If you haven't read Adam and Tess's story, this one works just fine as a standalone--but do yourself a favor and read them both. You won't be sorry, and then you too can join me in stalking Ms Covington's socials online to find out when the next book will be out. ;)

Serena and Justin's story was a lot of fun to read--secondary characters Nana Orla and Wilma Mankiller especially made me LOL more than once--and the main characters' chemistry upped the steam level of this one considerably. Though their wedding was a quickie--and off screen--it wasn't hard to see the attraction between the two of them from the start. Even though their backgrounds couldn't have been more different, it was obvious that the two of them were meant to be together--each filled in the missing bits of the other nicely. When their black moment comes--and yikes, it's pretty black--the person at fault (cough, cough JUSTIN) mans up and produces a grand gesture worthy of his billionaire status and exactly what Serena deserves.

I closed the book with a happy sigh. And then immediately went to look for details about Roan's book...sigh... :)

I fell in love with every character with the exception of two. Let’s just say these two characters played their part well. Does it sound like I am reviewing a movie instead of a book? I guess that shows how devoted I became to these characters. I have a fondness of a hero that has a heart of gold but many don’t see him in that light. It is my kryptonite. One of the characters who I absolutely fell head over heels for was Nana Orla. Maybe it is my Irish roots that draw me to her but I love her to pieces.

I devoured this book in one sitting. The hero is wanting, no needs, to find someone who will take him as he is. The heroine needs someone to give her the love and security that she needs, has always needed. There was a pull in this book that spoke to me. Did I have their exact issues? No, but I think so many of us are looking for someone who will fit into our puzzles of life. It doesn’t always have to be romantically. We see this in some of the minor characters as well.

I so hope we get to see these characters in future books because I hate to leave them. The Redhawks and Lings are people you long to have part of your tribe. We may not all have billionaire friends but may you have at least one friend that has become your sidanelv. I highly recommend this book. May you escape to Silicone Valley and find friends like I did.

Red hot chemistry with all the feels! Robin Covington keeps the feel good romance coming in book two of her Redhawk Reunion series and I am loving this family! SEDUCING HIS SECRET WIFE brings little sister Sarina back to town for a family celebration ... but not before she has a little adventure of her own.

Sarina is strong-willed and stubborn and her strength is what has gotten her this far in life and will continue to bring her everything her heart desires if Justin has anything to say about it.

Justin is a sweetheart. He can't believe the goddess that he just married in Vegas is his best friend's little sister, but even knowing that, he can't get her out of his mind.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a whole lot of family drama mixed with love and laughter as each sibling finds their happily ever after. I can't wait for Roan's story!

I was looking forward to this one since finishing the first book in the series because Adam's sister Sarina intrigued me. This book lived up to my expectations. I loved Justin's grandma. She's is a hoot! It made me happy to see the special bond she creates with Sarina. Sarina's backstory is one that breaks your heart, but to see the family she creates just warms the heart. Justin and Sarina have such great chemistry that burns up the pages. A drunken night in Vegas gives these two a path they never saw coming. I loved watching Justin and Sarnia get to know each other. The things Justin does for Sarina are going to make you swoon. This book left me with a huge smile on my face because I was so happy for Sarina and Justin. These two so deserve a HEA. I also love how diverse this book as well. That was a favorite thing about this book.

Seducing His Secret Wife is the standalone second book in Robin Covington’s Redhawk Reunion series. I didn’t read the first book, Taking on the Billionaire. However, from what I gather, the Redhawk Reunion series is about three siblings reuniting after being taken from their family and either adopted or placed in foster care. In Taking on the Billionaire, eldest brother Adam went on a quest to find his younger siblings so they could be a family again.

Half Chinese/Irish American Justin Ling is the co-founder and CFO of Redhawk/Ling, a tech company in Silicon Valley. He’s also known to be a playboy who loves to gamble. Sarina Redhawk didn’t have the best life growing up. She moved from foster home to foster home and even was forced to change her name, in what appears to have been an attempt to hide the fact she was Native American. Outside of the friends she made in the military, she doesn’t do relationships or let anyone get close to her. Justin and Sarina meet up in Vegas and after a few too many drinks, get married. Justin awakens the next morning to discover he’s married and that his new bride has left and he has no way of finding her. Soon, the two meet again and are shocked to discover their connection to Adam.

With a big business deal on the line, the two agree to keep their marriage a secret, while at the same time waiting for their annulment paperwork to go through the legal process. During this time, the two become closer and get to know each other better.

Honestly, Seducing His Secret Wife was one of the best best friend/sibling, marriage of convenience romances I’ve read. You know how you go to a wedding and it just makes you cry? You’re crying because this couple stands before you professing their undying love. They’re promising to be there for one and another. You’re crying because for this moment in time you’re able to watch these two people who are so mesmerized with each other that they forget others are watching them. You have this opportunity to witness something loving and intimate. That’s Seducing His Secret Wife. Justin and Sarina are so different from each other. But the one thing they have in common is wanting someone to see them, to believe in them, to make them feel that they are enough. It’s like every interaction they had, their feelings for one another came through.

I was so happy, so captivated with the story that I forgot there had to be a dark moment. When it happened, I wanted to cry. I couldn’t help but feel for these two. I understood them so well. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series, featuring Sarina’s twin brother, Roan. But I definitely have to go back and read Adam’s story.

I was so excited to get my hands on an early copy of this book and I was absolutely not let down. It was a fantastic, hot, fun and heartfelt read from a favourite author who never fails to disappoint.

Reading Justin and Sarina was everything I hoped for and more. Their chemistry was off the charts hot, they had a beautiful, if unconventional love story and so much heart I got completely lost in their story.

Add in catching up with characters from the first book Taking on the Billionaire and I was hooked from page one.

There is a reason that Robin Covington is a must read for me and this story highlights why. She’s giving a voice to her own native people in a way that brings attention to things that most are unaware of and she’s introducing different characters into a genre that sorely needs it by giving us a main couple who will captivate you from the start till the end when you will be still thinking about their story days, weeks later.

I love Robin Covington and thought she did a good job with Seducing His Secret wife. This helped proves that you can't help who you fall in love with. Justin and Sarina meet , drink, and marry within 24 hours. Who knew what lies ahead for them. They are both skittish when it comes to love but was longing for one to fess up sooner than they did.
I thought some storylines could have been explored more. You don't have to read the first in the series ( I didn't) but I think it may have explained what happened to their parents.

I received a copy of this book for a honest review

What can I say, Robin Covington this is your best book yet. Once I started I honestly couldn't put it down.

I loved the connection between Justin and Sarina, but how you developed the characters to show strength and weakness. By the end of this story, my heart was truly full for these characters. I also loved how you brought to attention, what has occurred to the native people and giving voice to it.

This is the second book in the Redhawk Reunion series. You certainly don't need to read the first book prior to reading this, but I would strongly encourage you to do so. It will certainly enhance the story line for you.

This was a good standalone continuation from the the first book Taking on the Billionaire of the Redhawk siblings series. Justin and Serina's rushed Vegas wedding leads to the couple deciding if they should be together. I thought it was funny seeing Adam's reaction! We get a hint of the next Redhaw sibling's story which looks interesting.

Justin and Sarina meet in Vegas and end up spending a drunken night together and when they leave they are married. When they return home no one knows they are married and they start divorce proceedings. But as they begin to spend more time together, they realize they really don't want a divorce. They are falling in love with each other.
When Justin and Adam, Sarina's brother, are at a celebration for some partners for their company, someone inquiries about the secret marriage. When Justin explains what happened in Vegas, he says things that he didn't mean but Sarina wasn't giving him any signs she wanted to continue the marriage. She leaves the celebration hurt beyond measure and ready to run to save her heart.
Can Justin fix this and tell her how he really feels? Will Sarina run before she tells Justin how she feels?
I loved this one, the love between Justin and Sarina is strong and meant to be. This story is about finding the love you didn't know you needed and making it last. This is another great part of the Redhawk Reunion series and I can't wait for the other brother's story.

Open book, say goodbye to heart. Justin and Sarina are a match made in heartache that turns into a raging inferno. Covington knocked me off my feet with this stunning story. From family ties, to wounded hearts and heated sex appeal, Seducing His Secret Wife has everything going for it. So much so that I could not walk away until I reached the end.

Awesome job on this billionaire romance! I especially loved that the characters were both of diverse ethnicity! The chemistry of Justin and Sarina is off the charts and I loved how they met one another! Add in a the spice of a nosy grandmother and the whole scenario plays out perfectly!

Loved the opposites attract combustion of Justin and Sarina! Once again, Robin Covington brings us a strong woman and a man not afraid of that. I liked the way the “it happened in Vegas” storyline played out once they reconnected. As someone who works in education and has had a number of foster kids pass through my life, I especially appreciated the idea of the Rise Up program. I felt it really added a good connection between them. LOVED the treehouse scenes and that’s all I’m going to say about that!
