The guys of major rock band Thick as Thieves come together in this novella, to say goodbye to a beloved friend. With Cal and Tayla falling apart at the start and Carrie and Chad engulfed in pain, It's Shamus that is the hero and Cassa supporting his darkest hour. Noah will reach an all-time high of anguish, sorrow and pain and none of the group, even Carrie, know if he will survive.
Saying goodbye may prove too much for Noah, but with TAT at his side he might pull through.
I have been given an arc in return for my honest review. Give it back Melanie, give me back my heart even though it is shattered !!!!! I am gutted by the raw emotions of the characters in this book. I see the TAT boys in a whole different light now !!! so glad I waited to get home from work to start because I couldn't put it down ..... Every book I read by Melanie Walker just gets better & better !!!!!
Noah Beckett my poor broken Noah Beckett! I still don't understand why Candey had to die like she did. It broken the barely hanging on man. I did love how the band all came together for Noah just like they did for Shame when he lost his dad. I loved how Noah connected & bonded with Shame this book. If I had to pick a part that has stuck with me it was when Noah walked into the viewing room & saw Candey's coffin. I actually cried like a baby hearing the thoughts going through his mind (I.Want.You.Here.With.Me). I can't wait for the next book so we can see how Candey's death was necessary. I have complete faith in Melanie to take care of Noah in the end.. I bought this book as soon as it came out yesterday & read it in one day. I'm a huge fan of the TAT Crew.
This book will wreck you, destroy your heart and leave you bleeding!!!
Everything that was heart breaking in the 1st 2 books and more!!!!
Having said all that... its still a brilliant read!!! I read the whole book from start to finish in one sitting!!! I will probably be useless at work tomorrow from reading into the whee hours, but I dont care!! It was fucken woth it!!!!
Although I hated the premise of this book and everything it stood for/events that took place in the book.....it was needed. I’m still pulling for Noah cause of all of the TAT guys he is my favorite. I can only hope and pray that things eventually work out for Noah and TAT as a whole.
This is not a S/A - you need to read Trust Me and Forgive Me first. This series is absolutely one of my all time favourites and I was not at all disappointed by Save Me. This is a Novella and sort of a bridging book really. For me it was like the conclusion to Part 1 of Noah's story and gave us more insight into Cal, who was one of the TAT boys, I hadn't really got to know. I couldn't recommend this series enough - great gritty stories heaped with emotion. I always feel like I've been put through the ringer by Melanie after reading a TAT story, but in such a good way. I cannot wait for more from this series.
A short novella. What happened after the tragedy in book 2 that you didn't realize you wanted to know until you read this. Set up for the next book. Really enjoying these bad boys and the sweet women that love them. Rock and roll and tattoos. Whats not to love.
I can’t get anything done because I am busy reading lol
I originally read 1-3 of this series in 2014 and once I realized there were additional books I bought the other 4 and reread from start to finish. I cried back in 2014 and again in 2019. Although the series is about tough subjects it is written so well that you feel the characters pain and cheer them on as they fight to get through it. This series is also about perseverance and making your own family. I am addicted to Melanie Walker’s books and recommend you read every one she has written!
3.5 This was just more sadness.. most of the book was a retelling of the last books ending. Very heartbreaking and with more details and insight.. I hope the next book in this series is a bit more uplifting 🤞 because this is just depressing!
We get to hear what they all went through before during and after the wedding and what a ride it was. There's a new guy in town and hopefully he can mend the broken.
First let me say whoever you chose to put on the cover of this book is SO FREAKING SEXY AND HOT!!! I read the first and second book for the TAT series and i love everything about these books. I have been waiting for this short book to come out bcuz it was so heartbreaking at the end of book 2 with Noah and Candey that my eyes get watery just thinking about it. I know you have your reasons for taking Candey away from Noah but I wish you didnt bcuz as messed up of a life that Noah had - he deserved his happy ever after with Candey but I will wait to read his book and see where you take it. Melanie you are amazing and I seriously love the little dedication you wrote at the beginning of this book in trying to understand Noah. It was so emotional that it almost felt like I was going through it. I cried through the whole funeral and when Shame broke down on Cassie outside the limo. This seriously was an emotional book and I love it so much. I cant wait for the others to come out. You write with so much emotion and i love it. I cant wait to read more about Sully - he sounds super sexy.
My 4 staring this cause i love these stories and I know this was just a Novella, but it just wasn't enough! I feel almost more in the air than the last book left me. Don't get me wrong the book is great and there was all kinds of back storeis to what happened. And the Noah and Candey story is a tear jerker for sure. They pull over on the side of the road to have sex in teh back seat and someone t-bones them and Noah shields her with his body and she breaks her neck and dies. HE is just a pitiful hot mess. It's so hard seeing him so broken. There were so many parts that were tough like the way he was hanging on to Sham and shutting Carrie out. We get more detail into the Talya and Cal relationship. Still so many unknowns for me. Like what happens with them. And doe she little shining star nurse play back into the story for Noah? And what about this Sam Sully guy here to save the day?!?!

I read this novella through Kindle Unlimited. This author has finally found an editor!!! It still has a few problems but overall its much improved over the last 2 books. This author has an amazing gift for storytelling and bringing these characters to life. It is not a stand alone and you must read the first two books in this series.
In this short novella we get a more in depth view of what happened the night of Chad and Carries wedding and the accident that took Candey away from Noah. We get perspectives from all of the band members and more insight into the relationship between Tay and Cal. We witness Noah's grief and in the end his decision to get clean and walk away from the band. He feels this is his only chance to find his way back to some form of life without Candey in it. He plans to go back to being a tattoo artist.
I am not sure how to rate the novella and what exactly write about this it. The fact that Noah (my favorite character) got such an ending was to much. Even though Melanie Walker admitted she killed Candey when her marriage died, it didn't make it better for me. I know life happens but, Noah has spirit and soul and music in his veins and to go back to a tattoo parlor and live his life for others was not my thing. Again, Cal's side story in such a short novella didn't work for me. It felt like this was an epilogue to the series that didn't do justice, for me, to the series.
Absolutely heartbroken for Noah. After reading Carrie & Chad's story then reading Cassa & Shame's story I was completely invested in Noah & Candy for it to be blown to smithereens.
Oh this is ripping me apart I can't bear to see Noah like this, he has been through so much and his strength is astounding I'm seriously gutted for him. “I want you here. With me.”

Melanie I swear you deliberately write this to torture us. My head is pounding from my ugly cry. Seriously though, the TAT series is by far one of the best series out there. Melanie has a special way of writing that makes you feel like you are part of the story. My heart literally hurts for Noah. I loved that Save Me was the POVs of the TAT guys and I am impatiently waiting for the next book to come out.
I'm lost for words.... Loved M. Walkers first book about the TAT-boys, Trust Me, and both the second and now the third book in the TAT-series doesn't disappoint. Loved Noah Beckett from Trust Me and my heart broke with his in the second book, Forgive Me, when Candey died.... A very emotional read, but so so so so amazing! Hoping to be reading the next ones in TAT-series very, very, VERY soon! 5 amazing, strong and awesome stars to Save Me....
I gave Forgive me, the previous book in this series, a very poor rating because of the path the author chose to take Noah's story. This novella is the bridge leading to his upcoming book. I haven't changed my opinion of the writing of his character, however, this book was "less destructive" and I have hope that he can possibly heal somewhat....someday. None of the characters in this series seem to be able to find a true HEA without some form of devastation marring it.
I put off reading this book because I knew it would be painful and sad, it was. Noah is a wreck but I like hearing what's going on in his head. Noah and Carrie's friend Sully is an interesting addition that I really liked. Now on to Cal and Tayla, I can hardly wait to read their book. The peek into them as a couple kind of makes me want to punch Cal in is face and then give him a big. This book is super important in the TAT series so it a must read.
This was a short Norvella, other than that the emotions run high and the momentum keeps going. This was an amazing roller coaster of a ride for a book. Definitely not a standalone you need to know the background of all these different characters. We heard from everybody in the band and wow there was a lot of story to tell. This story keeps on going, definitely worth the read, can't wait for the next book.!!
get the tissues ready! I didn't even get past the dedication before I needed them! I couldn't put this book down... wish it had been longer but I understand why it wasn't.... hardest part is going to be the wait, I need more Noah! And his book isn't even next.... Thank You Melanie! sometimes it's not about the HEA sometimes it's about the story!!! So thank you! I love this series!!!
Melanie you rocked my world again !!! I cried pretty much the whole time reading about Noah and his pain for his loss and I can't pic him loving anyone else but his candy but I do hope he is able to move on and love again.. I love all the TAT boys and I can't wait for Cals story so he can get his head out of his ass before its to late !!!' I love ur books Melanie ... ❤️
I love this series. I cried the entire book. Melanie has created a story that will open your eyes and see things one way and then you turn the page and she hits you with something else that just leaves you breathless. I can not wait for the next book. Noah is everyone's hero and I want nothing more than for something to finally go his way for once.
I waited forever for this book and it was worth the wait . This one didn't tear me up as much as the Last one but that would be because I knew it was coming . However Noah still leaves me wanting to grab him and hold him forever . The pain he is feeling is so raw I feel it . I also love that this didn't just give me Noah's POV no it gave me some of everyone. Can't wait for the next book
