Daddy's Gurlz
With such unique names as Uzi, Benelli, and Nyne, one would automatically expect the Diaz sisters to be a force to be reckoned with. Raised by their father, Wesson Diaz, the biggest dope dealer in Miami, two of the sisters, Uzi and Benelli, aspire to be just like him. After losing their mother in a tragic car accident, the light in their lives dimmed a bit, especially for Uzi, who finds something so simple as smiling to be foreign. Although the sisters are close, they have very different personalities. Uzi is the oldest, and her beauty is often mistaken for innocence, but she’s a stone-cold killer and deeply involved in the drug game. Every man with a pair of eyes has lusted over her, but no one has ever come close to having her. In her twenty-six years of life, she has yet to find a man who even slightly piques her interest. Well, that’s until Marcelo, better known as Loco, moves in next door. Just like Uzi, Loco is heavy in the streets and runs his own drug empire. The two of them have known each other their entire lives, but Uzi was taught to hate Loco at an early age, so they never had an opportunity to get to know each other. The next sister is Benelli. Benelli is the wild sister who has a male mentality when it comes to relationships. No, she wouldn’t be labeled a hoe, but she knows what she wants, and she knows what she doesn’t want. She’s the one with the slick mouth who constantly goes at it with Uzi, causing them to often come to blows. Last is the baby, Nyne, who is just as sweet, naïve, and wet behind the ears as she can be. Nyne is different from her sisters because she doesn’t want any parts of the drug game. Take a ride with these three sisters and enter their fabulous Miami lives. You may often hear the term, daddy’s gurlz, and think of cute, loving, innocent sisters, but I’ll be the first to tell you that these chicks right here are everything but innocent! They know the game better than most men, they are highly trained to use heavy artillery, and they are no strangers to catching a body. I mean, after all, they weren’t named after guns for nothing!

I really enjoyed Uzi’s character. She’s a boss, about her business and didn’t take mess from anyone. Because she never let anyone (men) get close to her, ppl assumed she was gay (this detail was mentioned so many times it drove me crazy😂) but she just hadn’t met the right man yet.
In comes Loco. You can tell he’s perfect for Uzi right away but there’s just one major problem - he’s a Reaves. The Diaz and Reaves family have a history of beef after the death of Uzi’s uncle.
In true Diamond fashion, we get POVs from other characters. Benelli was ditzy but Nyne takes the cake for me. I wanted to skip past her and Kofi so bad. He was so trash and she had the nerve to make a huge purchase for him only for him to flex like he did it? Girl, ikyfl. Cai was a hot mess too.
What really got me in this book was how dumb Noah was. Or Byron. It made absolutely no sense for him to take his wife to Uzi and Benelli’s lounge…you f’d around and found out, sir.
Anyways, things are about to get crazy so let me rush to book 2.

his was an enjoyable series. There were action and drama scenes in equal measure. Three sisters were raised by their father and more importantly taught by their father to be strong, independent women. I loved the positive relationships that Johnson presented. There wasn't the usual toxicity found. This was a refreshing change to see men who loved as deeply and as hard as women. The positive relationship that the father, Wesson, had with all three of the sisters was also a refreshing change from the "deadbeat dad storyline. Now that's not to say that there wasn't nonsense going on, because it was i.e. Kofi, Apri, Quez etc.
The story moved quickly with a few spag errors, but nothing of note. I will say the biggest drawback and why I found myself skimming some pages were the extensive monologues that often added no value to propel the scene forward because many held repetitive content.
All that being said, I'm very much looking forward to book two of the spinoff. I devoured this series in one weekend and was engaged from the onset. I won't say which 2 characters I saw a lot of myself in lol. I would recommend this series and it's spin-off to anyone who loves a hood boy who falls in love. 3.5 rolled to a 4

Dominique has lost her touch
When Dominique first game out up til the series Little Miami Girl Lost, books we’re on point. Now her last few releases have been trash! It’s like she’s lost her touch and hasn’t put the same effort into her work as before. This book wasn’t good and I skimmed through a lot. The characters were like able, the plot was drawn out and redundant. This was NOT the work of a seasoned author at all! There is no growth and evolving in her writing. She may need to get back under Leo or something. Thinking about it ever since that fiasco he writing has gone down. This will probably be my last time reading her work.

Bonnie and Clyde
Okay so I was torn between 3 stars or 4. I was headed towards 3 because Benelli, Nyne and Cai storyline/ POV was pointless. They were static characters. I can get Benellis POV. But after that one scene it was pointless. Now back to being 4 stars which could’ve been 5. I just loved Uzi from the jump. She never switched her character and I loved her feistiness. You perfected that character. Loco was just the male version. I wished the book just held them two. Their scenes were perfect!! Maybe there is a reason for the other characters POVs, so I hope they have a better storyline in part 2. I like Durk and Cartier the scenes they were in; were hilarious.. **Y’all still pick this up!** The two main characters are worth it. You will fall I love with Uzi and Loco.. That ending tho wooooah!!

Meet sisters Uzi, Benelli and Nyne Diaz. They were birthed into an illegal organization that is beefing with the Reaves organization. Their father Wesson, has taught them how to protect their family and themselves. One by one, we get a glimpse into their personal lives.

Middle sister Benelli is the typical middle child…rebellious and living life on her own terms. She may constantly fight with her sisters, but she’s also willing to eat a good meal and make up.
Baby sister Nyne is more into her books than she is the streets, exposing how green she is. But one thing about it…her father and her sisters will always have her back.
Every time I read a series by @_diiamondddd_ , I declare it my favorite, and this time is no different. Thank God I have the complete series, because these characters were calling me in my sleep. Hands down, Uzi and Loco are my favorite characters while Kofi earned his spot as my least favorite.

A Must Read
It is bad enough when father's introduce their son's to the drug game but it is damn right shameful when a father decides to allow this daughters into it. Wesson is so busy preparing Uzi, Benelli, and Nyne to the business. He's overlooking the fact that they have some s@#& with them. Nyne is naive and is messing with a dude that is clearly using her. Benelli is wild. Sex is her addiction but dealing with Noah aka Byron almost had her putting herself and her family in a situation she couldn't get out of. Uzi is cold and closed off. The way she's running around. You would think she's a dude because she can bust her. Loco seems to bring out the softer side of Uzi. Them being together is forbidden. I have a feeling the Diaz vs Reaves beef is different from what the women and Loco were told. Something don't seem right. They way this ended basically just started up some more mess between the family.

Loco and Uzi are both crazy. Uzi like to play like she’s a nicca IJS. She had no emotions when it comes to love, but she’s Gun Smoke when it comes to the family business.
Benelli also plays being a nicca, but she is comfortable in her sexuality and has the saying if the men can do it she can too lol 😂. She and Uzi got a love hate relationship and always fighting showing their immaturity SMH.
Now the baby sister Nyne I feel so sorry for the youngin that she is naive and clueless. She was trained like her two sisters but act like she don’t know about that life. Hoping she gets it together because her so called boyfriend will use her until he cannot no more. Again she’s so naive and young and just don’t know better. Yikes!!! what a ending!!
I’ve read several series about brothers, but this is my first series centered around sisters—and Uzi, Benelli, and Nyne are definitely a trio to remember. Uzi, the oldest, is the most responsible, but everything changes when Loco enters the picture, especially since he’s a sworn enemy of the family. Nyne, the baby of the group, wants no parts of the family’s extracurricular activities, while Benelli is the unpredictable middle child. But no matter what’s going on, one thing is clear: they’re going to ride for each other, always. Although I think they should let Nyne learn from her mistakes and stop bailing her out although she’s young, they are coming behind their sister regardless.
I actually really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for book two. I’m especially excited to see where things go between Loco and Uzi!

OMG, this book right here is the bomb!! Wow I enjoyed every page, and the fight scenes were hilarious.
The Diaz Sisters are the truth!! Uzi, Benelli & Nyne are part of a drug organization in Miami, since birth the girls have been trained to be Killers, Uzi & Benelli can’t wait for their father to hand over the family business, Nyne the youngest of the three wants a normal life.
On the other side of town we have The Reaves Drug Organization.
Marcelo (Loco) Reaves is part of one of biggest drug organizations in Miami and with that title comes a lot of enemies, One being The Diaz Family.
Sit back find a nice chair or bed and take a trip to the MIA.

This is a great start to what wb a great series!
Uzi, Benelli and Nyne were born into this life! Marcelo "Loco" Reaves was also born into this life! They were enemies due to past beefs in their families, but an attraction was brewing with Uzi and Loco! Nyne is not being wise with her Boo Kofi and Bellini struggles with being enough for a man. All the sexcapades are just covers for her insecurities! This series so far is filled with drama. Can't wait to see how this all works out! Machiah is stupid too, polygamy relationship, why, her man ain't worth it. I hope Nyne comes to her senses real soon. It will also be interesting to see what happens with Byron's Ex and his wife, as well as when Wesson Diaz finds out about Uzi and Loco! Great so far Diamond Johnson!

A family you love but a storyline that could use work
I’m only one book in but within a few chapters the book became very predictable and even to the point where there was such over explanation of characters, places, memories etc. that took away from the plot development. Some of the characters were introduced with stories that didn’t warrant any real involvement in my opinion or just seemed out of place at the time. You have a venue named after the Diaz sisters and yet you take your wife there knowingly? It made no sense.
I will read the next books because i am invested at am hoping that the she takes her time with these.

Uzi don't play no games huh 🤔 Loco knew how she would react so why Armani is not blocked anymore is beyond me, but she does know where he lives so she probably popped up unannounced smh. Nelli is too much and I understand the loyalty to the family, but to be honest like Nyne said that beef has nothing to do with Loco because he wasn't even born when their Uncle was murdered and Uzi deserves to be happy with whomever she chooses. Nyne lawd of she don't open up her eyes and see that Kofi is a goofy I don't know. This man literally was flexing like he dropped a bag on his new whip, but in reality his girlfriend bought it for him 😂🤦🏽♀️. Great read!

I really like this introduction to the ladies and how they really are. Uzi baby is definitely tough but I truly believe she can love and be loved with the right person. I get the differences in sides but at what cost for her happiness. And Nelli ahe definitely means well and I definitely see her point of view but she had a fair share of messes that Uzi cleaned up. Nyne definitely is the baby but honey gonna have to wake up. What I can say is you are the only one to know when you are tired. I need her boss up to be vicious!!! I like Loco but some explanation needs to be had.

Drama
How can you not put self love above the love of family? Everyone deserves to be happy and loved. Sometimes you chose self..Hell family is suppose to understand and be supportive. Yeah I want a love that last and one that will stay in the dating phase all throughout the relationship as it grows and matures. Read this book. It’s good. However I’m not liking how Uzi is being portrayed as soft because she feeling a dude. I get she vulnerable, but she still can be her. Just saying.

Book 1 was my least favorite out of the series. The reader is introduced to the Diaz sisters Uzi, Benelli, & Nyne. And then also introduced to Loco who just happens to pretty much be the male version of Uzi. From that the reader can automatically tell the love story that will become is between Uzi and Loco. Uzi is portrayed as this tough, gun toting female with no feelings who will never give a man the time of day that is until Loco comes along. Now the dilemma she faces is does she allow her self to fall ini love with the enemy and be happy? Or does she throw away her one shot at happiness for her family name? I gave this book 4 stars only because I felt like some of the pov in the book were pointless such as Cai and the detective. The storyline of Noah/Byron also seemed very pointless to me.

On page 6 where they are confronting the intruder. Instead of descriptions of the scene, we got MORE unnecessary details about how bad as$ Uzi is and what her dad taught them like we haven’t heard that on pages 1-5. We don’t know what anyone looks like yet, what the house looks like, what city/state they are in, what the weather is like. Just the dad is a gun toting, drug dealing, killing machine and Uzi is/wants to be just like him. Where is the imagery?
I really want to give this a lower review but I won’t because I DNF!

Nyne is a straight bimbo! The epitome of young and dumb! Please let her get rid of Kufi means her no good at all!! Now Benelli exhibits natural middle child syndrome like I think she liked calling Uzi gay she really was legit jealous of her sister craziness!! Man bring in book 2!

Plenty of laughs and action
These sisters are definitely riding for each other and I love it!!!...Nyne has to be the craziest of the bunch because she is definitely playing book smart and street dumb for sure!!!... I was soooo happy that Uzi allowed herself to feel some sort.of emotions from a man besides her daddy!!!...Benelli definitely has some hidden secrets because ahe is masking it with her wild sex rides!!!...I was ready for Noah's baby momma to show up, but not clown like name did!!!...Can't wait to see what secret Noah's wife is about unleash!!!...

Yes def a good read!!! I know this gone be a great series and I’m loving the storyline. This is def something different for diamond but she killed this story. Uzi and loco are def my favs! I need nyne to get some common sense and act like she a Diaz. I’m loving Uzi and loco together but I know the drama is about to begin for them in book two. I can’t wait to see what happens next in book 2!

I LOVE IT!
Diamond never disappoints, I love the characters especially Uzi, she reminds me of myself in so many ways. I think the unique names are creative and I would’ve never thought to use guns as names, but that’s the creative nature that makes diamond stand out from the rest. Dope book once again can’t wait for the other parts, I really want Uzi to find happiness with loco I hope he isn’t the stupid enough to do Uzi dirty.

Amazing Read
Uzi definitely deserves to be happy. Something that happened decades before her and Loco were born should not interfere with their happiness. Nyne is doing too much buying a car for Kofi's trifling ass. Nelli has a lot to say and Uzi just got her out of the hot seat! Loco definitely has a fight on his hands because she promised to kill him if he hurt her. Can't wait to see how this scenario plays out. Waiting for part two!

Great Read
Great Read. I loved how all of the sisters each had there own personalities. I love Uzi. Behind her hard exterior you can tell she’s really soft. I can’t wait to see what happens with her & Loco. Nyne is so innocent making you have a soft spot for her. I hope in part 2 she gets rid of her man. He’s really a leech but love can cloud judgement. Benelli can give off hater vibes when it comes to Uzi. But overall she’s okay. Can’t wait for part 2

Uzi and Loco
I love reading this from the beginning about is I and loco, he is a smooth operator,and is I know she wanted him from the beginning to eat the goodies and tuck her duck her good, I can't wait to read part 2, I wanted to see what her father will say, when he found out it seem like a set up to me, I want to know more about Josh's wife what secret she had on him ,he was a piece of shi t I hope is part 2 i can't to read it

I love this series!
I honestly think this is my new favorite authoress. This is the second series of hers I have read an I literally struggle to put the books down. I cannot wait to see what happens with Uzi and Marcello. They are my new favorite couple. I really hope Nyne gets over her love for the fuckboy Because at this point I don't know what's going on in the girl's head. I Could write about this all day but I have to go read the second 1 now !!!!

Uzi is a mess!!
Uzi is has a hard-core shell but she is really soft as cotton once you break down those walls. She is conflicted between her own happiness and loyalty to her family. Loco battle with some of the same issues as Uzi, but he is an IDGAF type of person. Someone please give 9 a clue because although she is young, you know when you are being played. This is a very detailed and good book. I love how the Author give each their own point of view.
