What if you had the ability to see things before they happened? Saw a zombie outbreak unfold before your very eyes? Could you embrace visions of the dead coming back to life? For Kaylee, who has been chosen to receive this gift, these visions are the beginning of a nightmare. She watched in horror as zombies came for her and a friend, but when she woke, she realized it hadn’t happened yet. So she prepares herself, just in case what she saw in her dream turns out to be reality. And it does. As the sickness turns helpless citizens into zombies, Kaylee, along with her friends, Deuce and Finn, try to prepare for what’s coming. The three friends choose to split apart, but they must come back together if they want to survive the worst nightmare anyone could imagine. While each of them faces the hungry infected coming from every corner, Kaylee is preoccupied with a single thought: How will they escape? But amid the midst of her most terrifying visions, Kaylee dreams of amber eyes and an infectious love she always longed to have. Maybe the zombie apocalypse has more in store for her than she could’ve ever imagined… What if all her dreams end up coming true?

So, I've read almost everything that E. Bowser has written, except this series, and she knows this. I told her I wasn't gonna read this series because I don't even watch horror movies. Mrs. Bowser and a few sista/friends said it's not what I think it is. So I swallowed my "fear" and gave it and finally read it, and I am so glad it did. Now I'm on to book #2-4. When I tell you that E. Bowser has a forever fan she really does because after today I can officially say I've read her entire catalog
E. Bowser has did it again. Another series I've been drawn into. I am not a fan of zombies. This story had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put the book down.
The storyline was ok. I didn't like how it was the same scenes told in different character views. The book was full of fluff but I endured to end, only to be let down that the beginning was the end. I'm hoping the next installment is better or I'm done with this series.
This book was amazing! It was intense! Never a dull moment! I have changed positions in my chair so many times, I got up pacing while reading, and I couldn’t put the phone down. My family gave up trying to talk to me and to be honest I stopped trying to listen and respond. That is how awesome this book was! I’m freaked out by zombies but I read this book quickly. Sooooo good. The characters were well written as well as the story. I read it as if I was literally apart of the book - that’s some writing skills right there! E. Bowser pulled me all the way into this book as if I was running, screaming, fighting and driving right along with them. I loved it!
This is my first book by this Author. I must say I enjoyed it. From the first page to the last page, it held me captive. Plus the setting was in my hometown so I was able to really see the streets and city for what it really was. Zombies everywhere. I'm most definitely moving on to book 2. I need to know what's up with Kaylee and Tristan. His eyes aren't amber for nothing.
If I wasn't a die hard fan already I would run away frfrfr!!! I will not lie this book will have you sitting on the edge peeking on the next page to see what will happen next!!! If you're a punk like me read this in the daytime omfggg!!! 😂 As always a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Read!!
A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series
It started off with a bang. I thought this was a book I would fall in love with, from the characters to the action and emotional upheaval. But, that didn't happen. While the premise was excellent the execution was lacking. It felt like one person started the book and second picked it up half way through to completely spoil the flow.
Grammatical errors in a abundance, confusing the POVs, wrong names used when that person wasn't there and adding information that didn't fit. Things that haven't happen or knowing something the other characters are doing when everyone are in different locations for most of the book.
The utter confusion, which I understand to an extent, to being downright stupid in their decision making. The only people that made sense was Deuce and Kaylee. My frustration was at an all time high. I really wanted to like this but I don't think I'll be continuing this series.
I really liked this book. However, what kept me from giving 5 stars was the bad editing. There were many sections where it was apparent that it was copied word for word from elsewhere. That made it confusing. I’ll read the next. Here’s hoping it’s better.
This my second time reading book 1 of this series and it still has me on the edge of my seat. Imagine having the ability to see the future in your dreams and seeing things happen that you feel you have to take of because if you feel like you have failed. Well this was Kaylee who was friends with Finn and Deuce since they were young teenagers. Deuce is the analytical genius friend who know something is gonna happen but doesn’t know when. Finn is the friend with the fck boi tendencies but has a heart to serve the people. They are pushed into this situation that changes the way they knew life to be when people started getting sick and became zombies. Now I won’t go on and tell you the plot but you gotta read the damn series starting with this one to see what’s gonna happen. If your into zombies and mind gripping plots and need to see it through this is the series for you!!!!!
The book is okay. It needs a lot of editing. Some ppls name change in the middle of the chapter, I understand why now because she has two names a stage name and the name she was giving at birth. It also felt like I was repeating scenes, because they were. I feel like if we are going to live out her dream it should be told slightly different the second time due to it being told from another pov. Unfortunately, I won’t be continuing the story. Hopefully, some proof reading will be done, maybe get someone to read the book before, yea. Get some beta readers and an editor. The creativity is there, the execution isn’t quite there yet.
A lot of grammatical errors. There was also a lot of confusion switching between different POV’S. I at times had to rearrange to figure who was talking cause it was unclear at times.
Also if I knew in advance a zombie apocalypse was going to happen I would not be making plans to go to work and meet up with friends later. I would have immediately gathered everyone and left.
I'm going to jump into book 2. The way this story unfolded gave me movie vibes. One of the things I quite enjoyed was that they believed Kaylee. There may have been a little apprehension but it wasn't just a complete ignore of what she revealed. This is not usually what happens in these types of stories which was refreshing.
Everything escalated so quickly but I loved that these friends were sticking together and standing up for eachother.
This is amazing! Kaylee, Finn, and Deuce got me feigning like a zombie! This is a must read because I didn't know I was so interested in this type of book. The storyline is well written, making the main characters feel like family. I'm on to the next one.
Well this had real blood, gore, and horror. Made me uncomfortable reading this book but it kept me intrigued and engaged. I don't expect anything less in the other books of this series.
