Book two in the Royal Dragon's Shifters series brings Henrik and Quinn's story. The author does a fantastic job building their story and pulled me in from start to finish with all the different paranormals brought into the story as well as the danger and suspense. The chemistry is hot and steamy and the sexual scenes are sizzling. It's well written with detailed and descriptive scenes and is an adventure filled read. I loved and highly recommend this book.

December 11, 2020McKenzie Rogue has written a 5-star book. This is the story about Quinn and Henrik. Quinn is best friends with James, he is a vampire. They have been friends since she saved his life. Quinn is a veterinarian and she is at work when a man comes in. He is holding something to his chest. She asks "What have you got there. He tells her that some kids super-glued a kitten to the road. Quinn tells him to follow her. When she gets to the exam room, she grabs gloves and other things she is going to need. She tells him to put her down on the table. The kitten lets out a wail when she is put down. Quinn tells the man that she is Doctor Thompson and he said his name is Henrik. Quinn said that the kitten was lucky he found her. Henrik said he didn't too good of a job getting her free. Quinn said that he did what he could without having the stuff to deactivate super-glue. Henrik asked, "Will you be able to see if she belongs to anyone?"Quinn said that she would see if the kitten was chipped. She told Henrik that she was going to take her in the back to get her fixed up and he could leave. He tells her that he is going to wait to see how she was doing. Henrik is a dragon and his dragon is going crazy over Quinn. Quinn tells him he can wait but it may be a little while until she gets the kitten taken care of. Quinn is at home and she is worried about James, the last time she talked to him, he said he may be gone for a few days and it has been over a week now. She knows where he last went and now she is going to go look for him. Things don't go the way she plans. She is inside the club that James went to and Henrik is there but he doesn't know the man in the corner is Quinn. James had given her something to hide her gender and she now looks like a man. Things happen and she is paired up with Henrik. They must go out and do a job and get back to the club. Unknown to Quinn, Henrik is also looking for James. Henrik is also looking for Stefano and Gray. Gray is working on something to destroy all Dragons in the world. There are things that keep throwing Quinn and Henrik together and he starts to think that she may be his mate. But without the heartstone to tell him, he doesn't do anything. Quinn and Henrik find out where Stefano is holding the women he has had kidnapped and along with a few more, they go to free them. Henrik is the bait to get all the guards away from where the women are being held. Once they are free, they need to follow Quinn out. One of the women said, "Why should we trust you?" She took off the ring that James had given her and went back to her normal self a female. After seeing that Q as she was called then was a female the other females went with her. On the way out she sees Henrik in trouble and she tells Cillian to take the women to safety, she was going to help Henrik. She has some of the things that James had given her and she is not sure how to use them all but she is going to do her best. Things don't go as she plans. Once Henrik is and they leave, Henrik gets angry with her for putting herself in danger. Quinn gets a phone call from James's phone and it is Grey telling her that if she wants to see him alive again she needs to come to meet him. She knows that Henrik will be mad when he finds out she is gone, but she has to try and save James. Quinn knows she is walking into a trap but she doesn't care. James had been there for her when she really needed someone and she is going to be there for him now. Quinn has some of the things that James has given her and she uses some of it to get them free. When Henrik wakes up and finds Quinn gone, he goes crazy. He knows where she is and he gets help to go after her. After Quinn and James get back, James tells the group what he knows about Grey's plan. Quinn and Henrik go to the Fae Market and get the last thing that Frey needs to make his plan come together. Somehow, Quinn has taken the firestone and her brother has gotten her and he is taking her back to Grey. Grey has done something to her so that she will do what he tells her to do. Quinn is there to see what he has planned and she doesn't like it. Grey tries to get Quinn under his complete control but he can't since she has Henrik's heartstone on her. Since Grey can't control her, he has the ring that James gave her and he has one of the other ladies he controls put it on. It turns her into Quinn. Grey sends her back to Henrik with instructions to kill him. When the imposter Quinn tries to kill Henrik he knows there is no other way to take her down except to kill her. He is the only one that is going to do it. When it happens, Henrik goes crazy. The group knows that Grey is headed to an airport to leave so they go after him. Henrik is in his dragon form when he hits the plane and one of the other guys sees Quinn and tells her he needs to get her off the plane like now. Once the plane crashes, Henrik is on the ground and Quinn rushes up to him and he doesn't think it is Quinn and calls her an imposter. It takes a little bit to get him to see that it is in fact, Quinn. When Henrik has Quinn in his arms, he is not letting her go.

This story will focus on Henrik, a dragon shifter, and Dr. Quinn Thompson, a sweet, curvy human.
James, a 400-year-old vampire and Quinn’s best friend, was going to be working undercover but before he leaves Quinn, he gives her a wooden box. He says he’ll talk to her about what’s in it when (sounding like “if”) he comes back. For Quinn, it just felt like something was wrong. When James, goes missing, she won’t stop searching until she finds him!
Quinn worked at the emergency veterinary clinic and a big storm started outside. She was super busy with the two other doctors out sick. When things settled down a little, a huge man ran in with something in his arms. Henrik told her some kids had cruelly super-glued the kitten to the street in the snowstorm and she would have died without his help. He shook his head and muttered, I don’t understand you humans. Those stupid kids did this for fun!” James talked like that too sometimes, and she realized Henrik wasn’t human.
It turns out that James had been working with Henrik to try to stop a vampire takeover. So Henrik will be searching for James as well. When it turns out that Quinn is wearing Henrik’s missing heart stone under her clothes, that’s the proof they are fated mates. When will they realize this? What will they do about it, especially while the undercover work is still going on. Even Henrik’s dragon gets into it as he kidnaps Quinn to protect her
I absolutely love the writing style and the dialog, especially between Quinn and her vampire friend, James. Exclaiming over the joy of ice cream in the middle of winter made them both my very best friends! From the start, I knew this would be another fabulous book from this author! There is so much going on in this wonderful story line, so grab your copy and see how it all resolves!

This is the 2nd in the series and I felt I missed a little bit but it's still a great book. The characters, Hendrik and Quinn have great chemistry together and you are rooting for them from the beginning. This is a paranormal romance, Hendrik is a dragon shifter and Quinn is human. Quinn's best friend James who happens to be a vampire is missing and she is out to find him. James is also working undercover with Hendrik to try to stop a vampire take over of the world so Hendrik is trying to find James too. There are numerous characters in the book that I just want to read more about, shifters and fae people since is is a paranormal romance. It was a fun read. I hated the villian too and want to see him die but I guess I'll have to wait for the next book in the series. The sex was off the charts, the characters I loved, it was just an exciting book to read. I really enjoyed it and look forward to more from her. I didn't read the first book in this series but I am going to now.

Primal Dragon is a story to reinforce the belief that true love conquers all. Henrik is a true alpha Prince, a warrior and compliments Quinn with his gallantry. Quinn is independent, strong, curvy Veterinarian looking for her BFF. Great characters and a sweet story around difficult topics I enjoyed reading Primal Dragon, the storyline was enjoyable and well written with shifters, kidnapping, action and love. I believe a story is only as powerful as its characters and Henrik and Quinn leaped from the pages. I love stories where the hero and heroine are immediately drawn to each other, but have to overcome their own fears in addition to external obstacles. If you enjoy romances that are sizzling, frustrating, adventurous and true mates, I highly recommend this book.

What does the third son of the royal family of dragons do? He saves a baby calico kitten from some boys that glued her to the road in the middle of the winter. Taking the kitten to the vet is where he finds his mate and his lost heart stone on the vixen of a woman the vet. With James her best friend and a vampire gone missing Quinn will do everything to save her best friend even if it cost her everything. Throw in some bad vampire guy that wants to kill all dragon shifters and turn everyone else into mindless vampire controlled minions and this book is a page turner. I love this book with its action, drama, danger, adventure, romance and love. Can’t wait for more.

Cute and funny. Quinn has always felt about herself. She’s curvy and beautiful but men just don’t seem to want her. So she’s given up on romance and finding “the one”. Until a large handsome mand brings in an injured kitten, and asks for her phone number. What she doesn’t know is that he is a dragon shifter and she is his mate. She’s not unaware of the supernatural world as her best friend James is a vampire. When James disappears, she uses magic to glamour herself as a man and infiltrates the organization James was looking into. And who should she see the first night but Henrik who is undercover, also looking to rescue. And he doesn’t know who she is because she now looks like a man. The two have to work together so does she let him know who she is or keep deceiving him?

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Primal Dragon by McKenzie Rogue is the second book in the Royal Dragon Shifters series. I really enjoyed this read. There was a lot of chemistry between Quinn and Henrik, not to mention humor and sexy spice (Mature Readers Please). The story line is fast paced and has enough depth to hold a read in thrall. Some references to the happenings in the first book warrant a spoiler alert. I really enjoyed these reads, so I recommend reading the series in order to get the most enjoyment from the reads.

The storyline and characters are good but this book could use a good editor.
Sentences were missed when it was converted from 3rd person to first person. A paragraph can go from a character's internal dialogue to a "she then..." statement.
I also struggled with one fight scene where one character attacks another "like a running back tackling the quarterback". um, the quarterback hands the ball to the running back, they are teammates, I think you really meant Linebacker tackling the quarterback.
I didn't notice these errors in the first book of the series so it was a disappointment.

The author pulls us into the lives of Henrik and Quinn and never lets go. The story is difficult to put down since it is full of dragons, vampires, shifters, fae and witches, with a dragon hunter thrown in the mix. With your heart in your throat, the suspense, danger and lust/love keep you turning the pages.

Utterly amazing. From start to finish. Full on action. Lust. Grouchy ass dragons and a women determine to save her friend. Hold her head up high and be the person she knows she can be. Insta love with a twist and alot of heated moment ladies to prepare yourself *wink wink*.just like the 1st book was fantastic and I really hope there is more to come and soon. I'm totally hooked!

Superb
A great boo, I liked this even better than Dragon's Honor, McKenzie Rogue does it again. Strong female and male leads, Quinn is brilliant and quirky. The story twists around as they try to find and defeat Grey. Cracking.

Love this series so far! Henrik and Quinn are so amazing together!!! This was an exciting story, and there were so many twists that I actually didn’t see coming...which I love! I really do need to find me a dragon lol ;)

I enjoyed this book. This is the second book in this Royal Dragon Shifter series. This is the story of dragon shifter Hendrik and his mate Quinn who is human. Their journey to their happily ever after will keep you reading till the end. I can't wait for the next book. You will not be disappointed.

Hendrik finds kitten in the road and takes it to the vet only to discover his mate is the vet.
Quinn is trying to find her missing friend James who is also a vampire.
This one has a lot of twist and turns. You never know what to expect. We have drama, adventure, suspense. Great job!

The second book in the A Curvy Girl and Dragon Shifter Romance/Royal Dragon Shifters series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Henrik meets Quinn through a kitten he saves, their story has a missing best friend, suspense, drama, danger, a villain, and romance. I want to read the next book. loved it !!! love this series !!! fast paced action paced read. Henrik is swoon worthy with a soft heart but, he's out for revenge big time...Quinn is a vet...it's insta-love, fate mate at first site...with twists and turns...a wonderful read !!!

enjoyable
I enjoyed the story but was often distracted as it’s very clear there was no properly editing of this book. There are so many errors and often seemingly random inserts of the word “her” and many gender errors in the statements as if it was an error of which character was the focus of the chapter.

I really enjoyed this book! It was fast paced and flowed nicely. The turn of events were done beautifully and the ending was terrific! This is a fun and exciting paranormal romance! I liked it!! It has drama and steam, with very likable characters.

This was a fantastic read. These authors did it again with another home run. Henrik and Quinn are great together. I definitely can't wait till the next 1 in the series. Definitely recommend it.

When is the next one coming?
Yes that is how thrilling and intriguing this book and the 1st Royal Dragons shifter books. I want them to catch the bad bad vampire. That is part of the story the other is how the dragons find their fated mates and finally get them to agree to mate.
