Alien Beast

Rate this book
We are a race of Bhiasts, once proud and free, now reduced to hormones and instinct.

When you have lived as long as we have, you do not get to call yourself a man.
You either switch off the part that once was, or you go insane.

Our masters send us to war, and we never lose. This task should be easy in comparison. There is no instinct more primal than the one they want me to complete.

Failure risks all our lives, while succeeding risks hers.

But the tiny human creature has a fire in her eyes, burning so strong it makes my horns ache.

I do not want to extinguish it.

I want to reach out and touch it. Play with it. Keep it for myself and make it mine forever.

I am not supposed to want, to feel, to think…

But she pervades every desire, feeling and thought.

I am a hardened warrior, and yet her beauty defeats me.

Her courage leaves me weak.

'Tis a sick and twisted joke of my nature that the more attached I get, the more control I lose.

Undefeated in battle… until the day she was pushed through my door.

I found this book to be only ok.

I did like that is was told from both perspectives.

I didn't like that they were working for a evil race of aliens, and going to war for them with out any personal conflict with who they are fighting.
I did not see what they were getting out of the arrangement? Being experimented on and turned into beasts why would they see any benefit to that?
It was said the aliens were going to take another clan but that clan got them to take another clan instead. Why were the original clan given an option about being abducted? and how did they manage to get an more advanced alien race to change their minds and abduct others in their place?

I didn't like Colm pretending he could not speak English it just seemed sneaky.

If they were being forced to breed why did they have so much say in the picking of the partners.

What they hell happened to the other women who were taken with her? She seemed to forget about them as soon as they separated. She didn't ask about them or try to find them. It was said the women's fate was dependent that her agreeing to breed why? would would have happened if she refused? and what would happen if she agreed? that was not explained and after she agreed why were the women not discussed?

I did not like that Colm kept thinking he would force her to have sex then he would woe her and get he to want to have sex, was kind of all over the place.

if you like alien/human relationship stories you might enjoy this but this one was not for me.

I received this book free from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. One, I love sci-fi romance. Two, the characters are interesting, lovable or likable, and the chemistry with Sophia and Colm is fabulous!
Three, the plot is great, and well written. I can see how this could be the beginning of a pretty good series. There are plenty of characters to make up several books.

The only thing that I did not like was the blurb discriptiom of the book. While it gives you a synopsis of what the book will be about, it does nothing to really make you want to read it. It needs some spice.

This is an Alien abduction, there is profanity and sexual content. Therefore, I recommend this book for readers 18 and older.

This was actually a really good book! I wish it were longer and there were more books in the series. I also hope we get to find out about the other women and what happened to them. Only thing I didn’t like was how fast the pregnancy was - one time and pregnant and having the baby in like two weeks?! That’s my only complaint and why I gave it 4 stars
