My honest,uncompensated review...here goes. This small book will connect a lot of the dots for the lay person regarding the subject of abortion. I can guarantee you some around you will need your empathy,compassion and love. More than you know. Amy gives helpful information so you will be in the know when being a helper. "A baby is not a sin". "A baby is a miracle" "All lives no matter how they got here,should be celebrated" "At times,the church tend to focus on symptoms of sin instead of helping mom uncover root causes of the pain". Church can put a small bandaid on things to feel good but the root of problem is passed over. Doesnt help but allows others to think they have. Unless we hear this we are ignorant and can become part of problem instead of solution. Help for birth mom, birth parents,adoptive parents,church,etc. Get in the know to help not hinder. My husband and I adopted baby 33 years ago. Abortion was diverted in this situation as God used us to be the parents. Recommend this book. It will open your understanding. #helpherbebrave. What an optimal time for this book to be released! God's timing is always perfect! This book has challenged me, as someone who thought they were doing all they could in the pro-life movement, to be even more engaged. I love all the resources Amy Ford gives in every chapter, actual groups we can connect hurting women and men to. As she states so well, there are people and places out there to help people with choosing life, we just need to connect each one together. We can be that link if we will be knowledgeable, willing and prayerfully considering what our role will/can be. What an encouraging, inspiring and sometimes tear-causing book that is much needed in our culture.

Ford includes A TON of resources and ways for professionals (nurses, therapists, etc) and non-professionals (like myself) to help single young mothers-to-be move from a moment of crisis to a season of celebration.
Ford's message is simply love - put into action by hosting baby showers and providing financial/physical help when needed among many, many other examples Ford includes at the end of each chapter.
She also includes mothers who have chosen abortion - and her language is nothing but grace. Abortion is no greater a sin than gossiping, and as human beings living in a fallen world, we need to show grace and receive grace on the daily.
I'll be purchasing this book as I initially read it on my Kindle - I have a lot of highlighting I'd like to do in a physical copy!
