The history, folklore, and modern uses of air magic. You get to discover practical techniques for incorporating incense, sound, wind, voice, and smell into your practice. It was a good book and I enjoyed reading it.
I read this book for research and really fun. It was all about the element of air and how to use it in magic. There was some good information in there for beginners. I found a few things I might be able to use in writing too. So, I recommend this book to anyone just curious as well as beginner witches.
Loved this book a lot! So many interesting facts, rituals and just great advice in general. I think it’s more aimed towards new witches but I also think that even advanced practioners will find something new and useful in here!
So, I listened to this on audible and unfortunately it didn't captivate me at all. This could be a number of reasons or even a mix of the following: -wtiting style was too shallow for my taste -didn't vibe with the narrator -research wise it wasn't bad, but also not great
Overall: I wouldn't consider myself an advanced practitioner by any means, but this book didn't enrich my practice, as I felt most of the info was rather basic.
I ended up giving it 3*, because I feel like it is a good book for beginners. It's a way to dip your toes into the subject of air magick and what this could possibly look like.
As an aquarian, a wizard, a vegetarian, a fellow light gatherer, I really enjoyed this book and how it combines truth and historical and cultural symbolism in all the various ways at it has and still is adapting.
This book is apart of series of books that are about the elements. I have read three out of four books. This one was my favourite so far. The structure has been the same with all three books. Part 1 - history, folklore, myth. Part 2 - working with air through herbs, crystals and animal guides. Part 3 - recipes, rituals and spellcraft. Part 3 was my favourite selection. The author explores in depth winds, sounds, words, air meditation and air through the wheel of the year. I will definitely use this book as a resource in the future.
Though I liked it, and it was a breath of fresh air, the flowery floweriness of it went on for too long in my opinion. The author's writing style didn't mesh with me, and I was mainly turned odd by that and lacked what I thought to be substantial knowledge. wHILE I can see why this could be the favorite of most people, I couldn't quite get into it like the other three books.
This was my first book in the Elements of Magic series and I was quite impressed with the amount of information it offers. Air is my favorite element and I now have a better understanding of what it means to work with this particular element. Great general information with inspiring techniques and ways of working with it.
Study the craft of air magic. This book has background on recipes, rituals ,spells and more. This book will give you insight on useful meditations and mastering your gift the element of air. It was a very helpful and useful book. I would definitely recommend this book for your personal collection.
Très bon livre pour mieux connaître l'élément Air (histoire, êtres, herbes, pierres...) et comment travailler avec lui. Très recommandé pour ceux qui veulent approfondir leurs connaissances au-delà des simples correspondances.
