When I first read the title of the book, it intrigued me how wasn’t it a love story. But towards the end of the the book I realised that the title was justified.
The book begins with Ishika, who is going through a tough time in her life and reminiscing about her good old days.
Then follows a flashback to her childhood days, when her teenage crush, Gaurav moves in to his neighbourhood. Having a great ‘beauty with brains’ friend Nimisha, and Gaurav by her side, her life was perfect except for the fact that her father didn’t seem to love her and there were other complications in the family.
When Gaurav moves out of the city, she was heartbroken. But she soon recovers focuses on her study and gets admission in B.Tech at Indraprastha Institute of Technology. There she finds Maya, her soul sister and after four years of B.Tech, they both move out to Pune for M.tech. There she finds the love of her life, the man of her dreams, Sushant.
When the two girls were all set to head out for a happening vacation to Goa, life turns around for her. She is devastated. Read out the book to find more.
The story keeps one engaged, each incident seemingly relatable. One can experience a range of emotions throughout the book, at their peak.
It’s an easy read, so if you are just a beginner to read, you can give this book a try. If you are a regular reader, then you should definitely read this and experience a plethora of emotions. The author has lot to say about the battles one has to fight constantly with the world and oneself. And when I read the book completely, I couldn’t agree with this more: “No headphone in the world can keep you away from the internal noises that one experiences”

The Day I met him as the cover says is not a love story ...it's a story of a common girl who faces all kind of situations in her life - struggle , happiness and pain. It talks about family, feelings, teenage crush, love , betrayal, sadness, struggles, pain and what not... It's a mix of emotions. It's a story about how few incidents can change our life forever and how those incidents change us as a person. We never know what lies ahead of us. It talks about the fights that go within ourselves. The cover of the book depicts it well. The author has done justification to the title. You will be able to correlate many things with your life and what goes around in the world these days.

I do not read novels much, this is the second novel I read in my whole life. It was so good and intersting that I finished in a day.after reading your novel I found my love of reading more and more novel. so when next one is comming..eagar to read more and more ....

Picked up for light reading on a lazy evening, this book made me laugh and cry at the same time. Very beautiful penned the story and struggles of a teenager. The content is relatable and you wouldn't be able to keep it down. Full of twists and turns, I totally enjoyed reading this masterpiece.

This is an extremely sweet, delightful and heart touchy well written story. I could relate to it's beginning very much and fell in love with the book instantly. Too good I was very happy in reading some chapters of the story. It turned into an emotional roller-coaster by the last quarter and made me feel anxious. I am moved that this is a imagine story and can only pass on my heart felt condolences to Author.
When you rate a book or write a review, more than anything you rate an author for her work. The title goes well with the book, how Ishika's who falls in love with Gaurav, her first teenage desire. But before he exist from her life, their love story could flourish. The story is meant to live in a reader's heart forever. This book is divided into 13 chapters. My favorite chapters are ( The Dream, Promise, Rebound ).
There were times when I felt like the author just wrote for filling up pages, but starting 3 chapters and last 4 chapters were passionately written.
Starting with the way this book is written is awesome - Crisp language and simple words. It's so awesome the plot you have choose to portray!
All characters of this book are beautifully written and very well described in very simple language.
Kanika Saini , i understand, is a talented story teller who beautifully describes emotions,excitement and everything. Reliable theme , same Bollywood masala.
Overall an incredible tale of love with a tragic and heartbreaking ending, ‘The Day I Met Him’ is a beautiful description of love together , breakup , rebound for an emotional use in very beautiful way.
I definitely recommend this book to all young readers

Do you want to read something new? Then choose out this book. The author, I must say has written this book beautifully, and set the plot powerful. The story revolves around the girl name Ishika, her first love, the rejection and how she deals with it. The mixed emotions, is the main theme of the novel which is expressed by the writer well. Ishika and her teen romance will keep you hooked up with the book and how she has overcome out of her feelings is condemnable.
Each chapter of the novel is written well and it holds the relatable feelings. Rejection are tough and to overcome the consequences is much more tougher. It needs emotion and that's what author has and author did the justice with the same.I personally loved the book all throughout. The cover is beautiful, yet it could be more appealing, otherwise the book is perfect go when you want to read something short yet worth.

A wonderful read !
This book is a roller coaster ride of emotions..the author with the first book has definitely made a mark of herself and has announced her arrival .
Book revolves around Ishita , who is the girl next door..her life struggles , her problems , her friendships, her solutions.
And yes..it is not a love story !
