• Caden deserves his own full-length series. What a patient, patient man. • Shout out to my boy Tink. Saving my 2020 one sass remark at a time. • Oh, Brighton. You are such a peach and you deserved this. You really, really did.
I LOVED these novellas! I was so excited to get more Tink (you can't write a winner and expect him not to slay the whole whole story, ok?) but also to get more Brighton! She is such a strong, fierce, and loyal person and I was anxious to get to see her happy ending. Prophet Elvis knows it has not been an easy road for her! Her relationship with Caden is pretty much everything I could have asked for. I love their romance and they way they back each other up. I loved the Prince getting a redemption and absolutely slaying some Winter Queen (in a non spoiler type way of course).
Anyways, seeing Ivy and Ren again was just the trick candle on top of an already delicious cupcake treat. Thanks for all you do JLA. You're the real MVP.
I waited two years for this bundle to come out so I could binge read all three at once, because I just couldn't handle the cliffhangers! And oh, it does not disappoint!! Caden and Brighton are just so fantastic together, and I really wish we could've gotten full fledged books instead of just novellas!
Good news is, there is so much potential here for spinoffs, maybe with Tink and the next generation? The Winter Queen is still a threat, there is still a war between Summer and Winter, and the Order are still traditionalists and old fashioned in their ways.
My point being: I NEED MORE!! But still so happy these exist.
I was immediately enthralled by these three novellas! I liked them even more than the first series - probably because I identified with Brighton so much. I could not put these down, and they didn't seem too short or too long, they were perfect! I simply can't wait to read them again.
Waiting for the newest book in "Blood and Ash" to come out. This was a fun one to fill the time, and get more of Jennifer Armentrout in my life. Not nearly as good as Blood and Ash, but fun.
So, so many feels with this book. In no way did this book disappoint me. I loved the angst, and I loved how Caden loved Brighton and that he called her his Sunshine and just the way he loved her, even when he tried not to love her. I loved how protective he was for her and how much agony he felt when he couldn't find her when she was missing. Just, I really loved the emotion in this book.
This series of novella's continues the Wicked Trilogy but this time it is Brighton and Caden who have their story told. Caden is the Dark Prince from the Wicked Trilogy who was in actuality, the Summer Prince but under an enthrallment by the Winter Queen. Caden basically know that Brighton is the missing piece of his soul but tries to stay away from her to protect her. That doesn't happen. What often happened was Caden breaking her heart and causing her agony. Which of course, I loved, sick old me. But, goodness, he made up for it. Just, she is his everything.
The three stories are The Prince, The King and The Queen. It is in The King that Brighton is taken by the Ancient who killed her mother and betrayed Caden to the Winter Queen. It was a dark time for Brighton and she almost lost a piece of herself. Without going into detail, it's basically because Caden friggin loved her so much, that she didn't!
These two go through quite a bit but every piece of pain, every angsty moment is worth all the goodness we got in this story. I highly recommend reading this if you've read the Wicked Trilogy, Ivy and Ren's story. You really shouldn't read this without having read those three books first.
I'm hoping with all my soul that Passionflix also optioned these three novellas because WE DESERVE TO SEE THEM ON SCREEN.

💜 Oh and the angst?
💔 Incapable of moving, all I could do was stand there as what felt like a fist reached into my chest and squeezed. That was how I knew what he was about to say. My heart already knew.
💔 The hole in my chest cracked my heart as I stumbled back from him. I knew it shouldn’t matter. I was just acknowledging that I had feelings for him—how deep those feelings ran, I didn’t know—but there was a hole opening up in my chest.
💔 “Don’t apologize. God, please don’t apologize. That’s….” When his face began to blur I knew I needed to get out of this room. I would not lose it in front of him. I would not cry over what could have been when there was apparently nothing in the first place. “You said… you said you wouldn’t hurt me. You lied.”

Quotes & Faves:
💛 “Why do you call me that? Sunshine?”
“Because I saw you smile once and it was like the sun finally rising.”
💜 SWOON
💛 There was a tense silence and then, “I’m not going to hurt you. I could never hurt you.” His touch returned, slow and measured. He slid his hand along the side of my head, his palm becoming a barrier between me and the floor. “Open your eyes for me, Brighton. Please. Open your eyes, baby. See me and know I’m not going to hurt you. Open your eyes for me, sunshine.”
💛 “It means you are…you are my strength. My sun. You are my heart.” 💜 Gah! The way he loves her!
💛 “I need you to know something.” Caden reached out, taking my hands. When I didn’t flinch away, he threaded his fingers with mine. “I am here. I know you need time, and if it takes a hundred years, so be it. I’ll wait. What I feel for you is not going to change. Not today. Not next year. Not fifty years from now. You tell me when you’re ready, and I’ll be there.”
💛 “I call you my sunshine. Do you know why? It’s because I saw you smile once, and it was like the sun finally rising after centuries of nothing but night.”
OK, I'll stop but there is so much more I loved about all of this! Read it and you definitely won't regret it!

I loved these novellas. I wasn’t sure after reading Wicked if I would like them, but I absolute fell in love with The characters. And of course, there is TINK!!
“It is very unlikely that he’ll give you up. Ever.”
OMG. Brighton is the MC 😱😱😱 I assumed it would be Caden. Because given the name of the bundle… it would be him or Fabian and I just didn’t see Fabian being it. Hell yeah Brighton! 💃🏻🥳
With that out of the way… You know when people say “unputdownable” and all that? I say it to but I usually don’t mean it in a literal way. Well, I present to you these novellas. It was physically painful to close this book and go do adult stuff. So you have an idea… I stayed up a full hour past my bedtime and then my body decided to wake up at 5am to… finish this book. That’s how much I loved this novellas. Caden and his sunshine are everything and I wasn’t a bit surprised *you know who* was working with that piece of trash. I’m only surprised it happened now and not before because I kept expecting a betrayal during Brave. I’m also here for the return of Morgana. Absolutely 💯 on board with more books. Please. 👀 5 stars for you. And 5 stars for you. And 5 stars for you ⭐️
This series has it all. Romance, heartbreak, betrayal, strong friendships and amazing characters. It follows Brighton Jussier and Caden The Summer (Prince) King as they both try to adjust after the battle with The Winter Queen Morgana. It's a truly beautiful love story between 2 people so different but yet so connected as they both struggle for revenge against the Fae that hurt them. It's so full of twists and turns that could break a person but they always have each others back and love won't be denied. A truly wonderful series and I highly recommend it to all.
I don’t know how it’s possible but honestly this collection of novellas might be even better than the original wicked trilogy.
We have Brighton, the dutiful daughter. She’s attacked and left for dead. She is saved (unknowingly) by the Fae Prince, Caden. Her mother is murdered in the same attack and Brighton makes it her mission to kill all of the Fae who attacked her and her mom. She has nearly caught them all when she runs into Caden and their chemistry is undeniable.
She saves him, forcing him to feed for the first time in two years. They sizzle and start to really engage but he is under pressure to marry one of his own kind. Brighton is kidnapped and tortured by one of her original attackers for like two months or so. He feeds on her and she’s broken but kills him.
Caden finds her and she begins to heal. She finds out she’s pregnant and that Caden gave her the Summer’s Kiss to save her those years ago and he’s her soulmate so that makes her worthy of being his Queen. But someone is still after Brighton and now her baby and it’s a betrayal you won’t see coming.
Tanner. And we aren’t fully sure how he ties into the young Fae’s disappearance and this drug that they’re on her whatever. Also Ivy and Ren are having a baby.
We need a Tink book and I will not back down from this.
-Spice: 1/5 -Romance was cute but frustrating at times -Great side characters -A little twist and turn here and there but nothing amazing -Pacing was good except for when the FMC was in trouble, that dragged way too much -He fell first -Protective love interest -Frustrating Romeo and Juliet-type situation (without the death) because the main characters couldn't just sit their butts down and actually talk things out
This was fun! I dont actually think I've read the Wicked series so I was obviously not aware of the storyline or characters but I was able to get by just fine. I love basically everything JLA has written, so I wasnt surprised I really liked it. Was it perfect? No. But was it a fun palette cleanser in-between thick and dense fantasy books that are a battle to get through *ahem ... looking at you, When the Moon Hatched!*
The MMC was probably my favourite part in the series, along with the male best friend of the FMC, who was just a total hoot, completely sassy and really funny. I wasnt a huge fan of the FMC, she was just stubborn to a fault and really annoying, to the point I was sick to death of her chapters and wanted to be in someone else's head. And her arrogance and inadequacies, when she thinks she is super capable and can be a fighter like the others but is really only ever on desk duty and totally incapable of fighting, was SO ANNOYING. She literally thought she was this amazing assassin and she couldn't protect herself for more than 2 seconds, yet still went around telling people she "had it handled" and was just as great a fighter as the other patrol members who fight every day. It was delusional and SO frustrating of her, even when a group of the characters pointed out she wasnt a great fighter (or even a mediocre one) and had to save her ass multiple times, she still believed she was this great trained soldier. I wanted to reach into the book and smack her upside the head.
In the 2nd book, when she was captured (because she isnt a fighter.. shocker) I found that part of the book WAY too drawn out and took up way too much of the book, considering they are only novellas and not full-length books. If they were full-length, it might have been okay, but it just wasted way too much time and it got very repetitive and boring. I ended up skim reading after the first few chapters as it was like a book version of the movie Groundhog Day. And with my ever decreasing attention span, Im actually impressed I didnt skip those chapters completely instead 🤣
Wicked was the first book I ever read from JLA and I feel in love with her style and characters! Her world building is always on point, making me feel like I’m a part of the story. I was there with these amazing, badass characters!
I will have to say this was a great, fast read that tells a bit about what happened after Brave. I loved the quick pace, heart breaking backstory and reappearance of familiar faces! I highly recommend the Wicked trilogy and the Summer King Bundle!
I'm so so glad I waited until The Novellas were completed to read them 🙌 The first two end in a Cliffhanger, and I just hate waiting 🤣
Caden deserved his story and I happy he got it. He was such a surprise in every possible good way. I love him 💝
You don't really get to know a lot about Brighton in The Wicked Series so I was intrigued. She's so kind and strong, it was nice seeing her grow through the stories.
An excellent trilogy follow up to one of my all time favorite series. I love all of these books and really hope that the story continues. There was a lot of open ended story lines and I can't wait to see (hopefully) what happens next. I love every single one of these characters.
I think that I liked this side story more than the original trilogy. I enjoyed the main characters more in this one, and the storyline wasn't too drawn out. Probably since these were novellas instead of full novels. I always love Jen's books though, so not a shock that I loved this story.
This was really good! I’m glad I returned back to this series and completed it. It’s crazy how I much loved this bundle of novellas more than the main storyline!
These should not be called novellas because it is very clearly a trilogy with cliffhangers at the end of the first 2. They are not stand alone. There are some very intense torture parts that were hard and very long that were hard to get through. But I really liked the overall story and and had a hard time putting it down. There are some inconsistencies if you pay close attention but the love story was sweet and in some ways I liked these books better than the Wicked series that takes place in the same world and is a precursor to this trilogy with most of the same characters.
You don't have to read the Wicked series to read this.
I've read them all seperatly. But enjoyed it more together in this bundle.
POV:h
Brighton and Caden
Brighton was born into the Order that keeps other worldly creatures at bay within the human world. She was training to become a hunter, up until her Mother was taken and had she had to take care of her from a young age. Now she's the book nerd, you need a map or something looked up, you go to Brighton. Her best friend Ivy is a hunter, and she's half fae, half human, her boyfriend Ren, their other friend Tink, who's a brownie, he's comical & loving, who's in a relationship with Fabian, a prince of the summer fae court (good guys).
When Brighton and her Mother are attacked by faes. Brighton goes on a hunting spree on her own to find the faes responsible.
Caden, the Prince of the Summer Fae Court, has been watching Brighton from a far, intrigued by her. There's missing fae younglings, so now they're all working together to figue out who's harming these younglings.
Sparks fly between the two of them. She doesn't care that he's the Prince, she sticks up for herself, tells him as it is.
Prince Caden has to marry a fae for the wellbeing of the Court, so they can become stronger and to bare an heir. Making her feel like the other woman, can she walk away from her feelings for Caden?
But when Brighton's kidnapped by one of the faes who attacked her and her mother, she's sure no one is coming for her. Cause the Order deems her not important enough due to her not being a hunter. Feeling that she's losing her mind, hallucinating, but keeping her witty come backs. Months later, Caden, Ivy & Ren find her, and to their surprise alive and that she managed to kill the fae who took her.
Feeling a bit stronger, she's been given information that can change her life, so she's got a lot of thinking to do.
Getting a lead to what's happening to the younglings. Trying to get Caden to marry a suitable fae to be Queen, trying to bury her feelings for Caden. And trying to find out who's behind trying to get to Brighton. But why Brighton?
As a huge fan of the Blood and Ash books, I wanted to love this so much!
I actually did love the first novella, but the last two put me off quite a bit unfortunately! Not only does our heroine spend a ton of the 2nd novella away from the hero, those chapters are with the *villain* and it's, well, VERY unpleasant to read -- to say the least.
In the third novella, the central conflict could just be solved by ONE long conversation between hero and heroine and it's so frustrating to read!
Quote:
"Caden *never told me*,” I explained. "And I get why he didn't. He was trying not to overwhelm me after everything, but *I wish he'd told me*.”
"And I'm sure he *wished you'd told him*...."
Perhaps the author believed that having secondary characters say to our heroine: "it seems like you and Caden could've benefited from a very in-depth conversation." (Me: YA THINK?!) that that makes up for the lack of communication?
It would have been forgivable if the heroine just kept her thoughts to herself and only spoke to one person about stuff, but nope... she talks to *every* secondary character *but* the hero (it's at least four/five others). And this is *after* it has been established that there may be an unknown traitor amongst the group....
Why did she not just talk to the one guy (the hero) she *knew* she could trust? Why did she believe characters with suspect motives, then make decisions based on half the information and not just ASK the hero WTF was really going on?
Because when an entire novella makes the characters not talk to each other, then makes *that* lack of communication the *catalyst* for the novella's *climax*?
I am ~*frustrated*~ beyond belief!
*Sigh*
I will end with a positive. The writing is so immersive and fun and Armentrout's hero here is so swoon-worthy. The love scense are super steamy and the darker parts made my heart clench with feeling. I just so wish the 3rd novella had been different...
I still am anxiously waiting for Book 3 in the Blood and Ash trilogy, but this reading experience has brought made my expectations of that book to a more realistic level, I think.
🇺🇸Spin-off from the Wicked trilogy. +18 I loved It! it has the sexy scenes, the action and the plot. It's so intense and a freaking enemies to lovers🤩 Brighton stars the book with 27 years old, she has always been the safe girl, the one her friends go to for information and her whole life she has had to take care of her mother. In the first book Brighton is attacked and her whole world is going to change. She turns into such an empowered woman and with a good self esteem and I love seen that growth within herself; she shows us how sometimes, even when we think we don't, we see ourselves poorly. She is kind and friendly but also freaking cool...and the person she meets in the book issss *spoiler* THE FREAKING PRINCE. The Prince Caden has to get over his previous life controled by the Queen and scared for his family and friends. I really liked to get to know him through Brighton and how they trust eachother in a magical way. I wish this book would get more known❤️ 5📚/5📚 🇨🇱*este libro aún no lo traducen🥺* Spin-off de la trilogía de Cazadora de Hadas.
“You don’t have to like that I’m out there, but you can’t stop me. If it ends with me getting myself killed, then so be it. And I don’t say that because I don’t value my life. I say that because at least I would die taking back what they stole from me.”
We first met meek and mild Brighton Jussier in the original Wicked Trilogy. The first novella is this bundle opens with Brighton miraculously surviving a horrific loss and attack at the hands of the winter fae. Fast forward a few years into the future she has now mastered the art of disguise and is determined to enacted revenge on those who’ve harmed her.
Cue in Caden, the Summer Prince. Caden was previously introduced under mind control of the evils that be aka the Winter Queen in Wicked. He struggles to cope with the acts he committed while he was captured and is also on a revenge mission against those who’ve betrayed him.
Caden sees through Brighton’s disguises and continually intervenes and interrupts her missions. The chemistry and tension between these two is delicious.
I loved this so much! Seriously it’s rare these days for something to be unputdownable for me but I was completely enthralled in the saga of Caden and Brighton and all the twists and turns JLA took us on. I had originally planned to read one novella in between other books but I read straight through all three in a day a half and I still can’t get these two out of my head.
I don’t know how it’s possible but honestly this collection of novellas might be even better than the original wicked trilogy.

We need a Tink book and I will not back down from this.

I already reviewed each book in this bundle separately but I wanted to put up a little review on here too because this is the actual book that I purchased and read. I got the bundle, because to be honest, there is no way to read one of the books without reading all of them. I love how The Prince, The King and The Queen gave you a new perspective on continuing characters. We were reintroduced to characters from the main books and shown how they grew, how the changed and the amazing journeys that they went on. I don't want to give any spoilers but there is a chance that you will fall in love with characters you thought you hated, begin to dislike characters you loved, see characters that faded into the background and finally continue to be fascinated and entertained but absolutely lovable characters. Don't worry, we will see some new faces, find new people to hate and new ones to be inspired by. I will end this by simply saying Thank you! Thank you to Jennifer L. Armentrout for creating such an inspiring and beautifully addictive world for me to escape into. Much love for the Summer King bundle and all of the fantastic books in the Wicked Series.
I am a huge fan of the Wicked series and I was so happy to get these three novels to know more about Brighton and the Prince.
Caden definitely would have deserved his own full-length series. He is an incredibly and patient man. He completely stole my heart. His love was so intense and his past was heart wrecking. I loved the development of his feelings and the way the relationship with Brighton turned out. These two had to face so many horrors and pain and yet they found happiness. Brighton was a wonderful protagonist which deserved all the good in the world. I am so happy for her.
Also a huge shout out to Tink. He was like the scene stealer of the whole Wicked series as well as the Summer King story. His sassy remarks were absolutely hilarious and I cant wait to watch the Wicked series on screen.
The Summer bundle is great to get the whole story of Caden and Brighton within one book. I loved them so much and I am a bit sad to say goodbye now. The worldbuidling was fantastic and I really hope we will get some little treats from these characters in the future.
The Prince ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- Maravilla.
The King ⭐⭐⭐- No sé qué ha pasado.
The Queen ⭐- Desastroso.
I completely loved this bundle. Like always Jennifer delivered another amazing masterpiece!!!
Caden and Brighton were just perfection together. Their story had everything from deep connection, betrayal, heartbreak, romance, action, drama and a love that tops everything else.
These stories are a spin off from the Wicked Trilogy and happened after the battle with queen Morgana and the winter fae in Brave. You don't have to read the trilogy to read this spin off but I highly recommended just because you'll understand the story better and you'll met all the wonderful characters in the series.
Both the prince and Brighton are looking for revenge but in the process they find each other. There are so many twist and turns and many bumps in the road. Honestly is a rollercoaster of emotions and I confess I cried a tear or two or one thousand lol.
Love this bundle, the characters and the plot. Is a must read!!
Indico demais.
