Book Description In this one-hour history book, discover how the Great Depression of 1929 changed the course of America’s history, and its impacts on the World! Free bonus inside! The Great Depression was one of the worst catastrophes the United States as a nation has ever faced, and its effects were much more far-reaching than just the damage done to the American economy. Because of it, seeds of desperation would spread far and wide. An unstable Europe, already struggling to find its way after the First World War, would find itself buckling under additional economic duress. Soon, totalitarian governments would come to power in places such as Germany, Italy, and Japan and lead the whole world back to war. This book explores the causes of the Great Depression, its effects, and how the U.S. ultimately pulled itself out of these dire economic straits. From President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal to the massive armaments production on the eve of World War II, to the great exodus from the dust bowl, to the crusade against organized crime—we will examine all the major events of the Depression era. This short-read book is a perfect introduction to the history of the Great Depression of 1929 that you can easily read in an hour or less. The book provides some very interesting insights into this period of the Great Depression that shook the world as never before. Not many know that 'scotch tape' was invented to hold the sole to the feet. The Depression also caused one of the most devastating environmental disasters. Apart from these not-so-well-known aspects, the book dwells into the causes of the Depression in very simple terms. Book worth a read

I’m no history lover!
My primary interest is in science and mathematics. With recent events related to our world wide pandemic, my desire to read about past plagues, turned into an interest to research past economic crises in the United States. This book was interesting from the start and kept my attention until the end. Yes, it took about an hour. I would recommend this brief summary of The Great Depression.

A Good Overview
This short history of the Great Depression clearly demonstrates how easily things can go from good to bad to worse in a few short years. America was indeed fortunate enough to not only overcome the Great Depression, but to soon become the richest and only Super Power in the world. It goes on to warn us to be careful we don't lose it all again.

I have heard of the Great Depression but I didn’t know a lot about it.. until I came across this book.. learning about this horrid event and how people made it through the Great Depression was crazy!
So much happened in America during those years and it really makes you appreciate the life that you have and how awful it must of been around that time.
Over all, I found the book an easy read, interesting and it covered a lot of information.

Good summary. Nothing I didn't know. Didn't agree with all of it.
