But as he does so, not only does he begin to understand her reasons for being unfaithful, he also finds his desire for her growing exponentially — precisely because she has been cheating on him.

This book was hot, hot, hot. If you like cheating (which I don't) and cuckolding then this book is for you. Basically it's about a wife who has to stay in London in a flat, on her own during the lockdown whilst the husband has to stay home with the kids and ma-in-law. During a video call between wife hubby and kids, hubby sees a strange set of keys on the kitchen table so becomes worried something's going on behind his back. He decides to drive to London to check out the flat while wifey is at work where his suspicions are realised.. there's someone else living there!! However, rather than be upset, he gets quite turned on by the thought of his wife cheating. I know it's a fictional story but, to me, that bit seemed rather implausible. There was a UK tv series called "The Split", about two lawyers, where the wife was cheating. The husband finds a strange set of keys in his wife's handbag (purse) so goes to the lovers apartment where they fit..inside he finds some of his wife's belongings, the angst and betrayal he feels really comes across but when it came to this book, the husband seems to revel in it..I think he should have told her where to go but then, I guess, the book then would have rather fell flat on it's face!

I delayed reading this book as it was obviously set in a COVID-19 lockdown world and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go there while I am still living it for real. However as set out in the author’s notes at the end of the book, this is currently the new norm. The book does not dwell on the horrors of the pandemic, it is simply set in England during last year and takes the restrictions into account.
This is very much a slow-building tale of a married couple in their late 30’s with two school-aged kids and a sex life that has gone stale.
Marcie is the main breadwinner and spends half her nights in a rented flat in London England as she tries to save the company she works for from bankruptcy.
That leaves journalist Cam sharing childminding and home-schooling duties with his mother-in-law at their home in the Cotswolds.
The drama starts when eagle-eyed Cam spots something not quite right during the family’s evening chat with Marcie.
Cam decides to investigate the farfetched possibility that his wife is somehow having an affair. This possibility is frightening, as it could destroy the family unit, but at the same time, he is strangely aroused at the thought of his wife being so inclined.
What follows is a fascinating insight into the effect infidelity can have on a marriage and how communication and brutal honesty can play a major role in the outcome.
Told from the husband’s perspective you get to experience the anxiety, fear, and turmoil that a spouse goes through when they suspect they are being cheated on, also the unexplainable contradiction of arousal that runs alongside.
Plenty of twists and turns and oh by the way the sex is red hot too!!!
This story is set in our COVID-19 times and reflects the realities of the day. It’s hot with some of the steamiest scenes Max has written.
But the key to this book is the relationship between the couple. Although the story starts with an affair, which the wife confesses, the vast majority is the couple working together. The wife is very good at including her husband to ensure that he enjoys the ride. She goes out of her way to push his buttons.
I’ve read a number of books recently where the wife takes pleasure in humiliating and denigrating the husband. Thankfully that doesn’t happen in this tale.
Even though this is a reasonably long book, I still would have liked more, particularly from wife Marcia. She didn’t really explain why she loved husband Cam, and she didn’t explain why she didn’t fall in love with stud Michael. I’m also perplexed in these stories why wives are eager to do so much more with lovers than with husbands?
I was encouraged in the final sex scene how wife and husband enjoyed a special treat that only the lover could provide.
The Author’s Note at the end suggests Max is writing up a storm. I can’t wait for his next book!
Brilliant move capturing the emotions not just of a man sharing his wife the voyeur aspect, the naughty text, and so much more but also to blend in the emotions fears and doubts in such an historic point in the world's history
Excellent, novel long contemporary story about an affair that becomes so much more when Cam discovers his wife Marcie’s infidelity. After all he reasons, it’s only sex.... Does he tell her he knows? How will it affect their relationship in this time of pandemic? This is a terrific, reality based story, with good character development that is also quite hot. Highly recommended!
Another great delivery from Max Sebastian. To anyone into this 'kink' it will be quite the delightful erotic read. Even if the reader is not interested in Cam, new 'tastes' it can be quite the enjoyable read. I personally did not enjoy the last two big 'sex' scene neither the fact that Cam had a tendency to justify Marcie misbehavior, even if ultimately he was right.
Lots to like here from a very close couple. As for improvements, I'd felt the bull was too stoic and one dimensional with very little dialogue during some strange situations. Also has a missed opportunity for deep cuckold angst by revealing the affair with the live in mother in law and on the family video calls.
This is another great read from Max Sebastian. While the story is written around COVID outbreak in England, the story does not dwell on disease itself. Matter of fact, I think the story could stand on it’s own without COVID storyline. While I am not fan of secret affairs or infidelity, I thought it was handled nicely and is an important part of the storyline. It helped Marice and Cam to realize they have been taking each other for granted sexually and that they need to change things up.
I’m also not a big fan of the cuckold genre, and let’s be clear this is Cuckold story not a Hotwife story. But before that scares off some readers, trust me its written like a Hotwife story. This is the best written book that I have read in this genre. I think the author strike the right tone between the cuckoldress and the cuck. Yes, there is still the power imbalance between Marcie and Cam. But Marice takes great care to satisfy Cam’s desires and needs while taking what she wants, namely the well-endowed Michael.
The story is on fire with burning hot sex sense after sex sense. Max take time to hit just about every cuck fantasy. While I guess I understand why, I was disappointed that he did write explicitly about the about Cam’s clean-up duties. I also thought Marcie must be made of Teflon, because she never got sore after nightly poundings? But those minor drawbacks don’t take away from this great read.
A very erotic , and the detail of the relationship she had with lover and husband, and though the best thing to come out of this, was the spark was put back into the relationship. Found hard to put my Kindle away while reading fhis story. Would like to think there could be a follow up about their life's.
Sorry Max, I was uncomfortable with this story. I put it aside three times before I finally finished it to get it behind me. Marcia took too many liberties behind Cam's back to suit me. I've enjoyed many of your stories but this one wasn't one of them.
