James I had the life I wanted in the Marine Corp, until one accident changed it all. Choices needed to be made that there was no coming back from. I wasn’t thrilled with what my future held. I needed to make a new path for myself and it required calling in a few favors. When I get to the island of Tabiq, what was promised isn’t what awaits me. Instead of being back in the action, I’m babysitting some stuffy lawyer who thinks she knows it all. She challenges every order I give her and worst than that, she does it with a smile on her face. If she thinks she can break me with the sexy sway of her hips or her deep blue eyes, she was mistaken. I don’t do relationships and I sure as hell don’t fall in love. That didn’t mean I was opposed to spending some hot steamy nights under the moon in this paradise island. Once again my life faces a crossroad. This time my path is clear. But do I want to take it alone or is this journey meant for two? And the saga continues….
Jeannette grew up in a large family, number ten out of eleven children, eight of them being older brothers. She quickly developed a great sense of humor, mostly from necessity. One of her greatest joys is sitting on the porch where they were all raised and hearing the stories from years gone by. Quietly laughing to herself, she notices how they embellish the stories more and more each year.
Storytelling was passed down from her grandfather and mother. Jeannette caught the bug at a very young age. If she didn’t have her head in a book, then she was off somewhere with a notebook, jotting down stories of what she would write if one day she became an author. Although the notebook may have vanished, the stories are still vivid and waiting for the right time to be told.
Despite having an amazing family, there have also been some sorrows in her life, including the loss of loved ones. Over the years, Jeannette has spent countless hours volunteering for different organizations and acting as a caregiver to those dearest to her. As a result, supporting the elderly became of utmost importance.
As she approached a milestone birthday in 2015, she decided to take her passion for writing and blend it with her desire to continue to help others. As she writes her stories, she hopes they touch someone’s life. Within the layers of the romance, the foundation remains throughout and is one that is dear to her; make a difference in someone’s life each day!
In 2016 she met someone who encouraged her to push herself even further and try her hand at spicy intrigue. One year later she has four books in this new series and each one pushing her limits just a bit further.
Like the wind, Jeannette’s life changed directions several times over the years, yet one constant remains: her desire to leave this Earth a little better than when she entered it as she tries to live by these words, Make your mark on the world today as your acts of kindness is all anyone will remember in years to come!
James Burke, a Marine who had a plan but things changed when he got a call about his sister Cindy being injured. Fast forward six months later and he was looking to get back into action. So he called in some favors from his former teammate and friend, Bennett Stone (VIRGIN FOR THE FOURTH TIME) and found himself on the island of Tabiq. Where he was offered the job as a beautiful, gorgeous and smart lawyer's bodyguard. The woman was driving him crazy, she wasn't listening to his orders. She was defying him with a smile on her face. He never intended to fall for her.
Robin Wellington, a lawyer who was in need of a well deserved vacation. She found herself at New Hope Resort in Tabiq. It's been a while since she'd been with anyone. She wanted to visit the island but despite the way things were going thanks to the Hendersons and their inner circle. They didn't want her to take any changes especially after she brought something to Bennett's attention. So the latter assigned James to meep his eyes opened.
There was a mutual attraction between them. Even though she challenged him like no one ever did before. They spent so many time together trying to help one of the resort's employees named Lily. She gave them some crucial informations that helped them stop some Tabiqians from causing trouble.
It was a pleasure to catch up with Zoey, Bennett, Ziva and Alex (HIS FOR FIVE NIGHTS). Loved how the sister-in-laws were playing matchmakers where James and Robin were concerned. The newly lovebirds found more than what they were searching for when they arrived in Tabiq. They found their HEA.
ELEVEN DAYS IN PARADISE is the eleventh book in Jeannette Winters' BARRINGTON BILLIONAIRES series. What an amazing, fast-paced and intriguing roller-coaster ride. Jeannette Winters did an exquisite job. I recommend you guys to grab yourselves a copy and enjoy the journey. Two thumbs up!
I was shocked at the lack of depth in the characters, it doesn't seem like a Jeannette Winters book at all. The gross proof reading was appalling i.e. when James says " I put her in HIS arms" and all the other misspellings and added words that don't belong in a sentence at all!! I could not identify with either of the characters and their backgrounds. Sorry this was just a painful reading for me this time.
Usually, I would give a four star rating as, although the story line is enjoyable, the spelling errors are so numerous that I can't in all honesty give five stars. You will however notice I have only given two stars for this novel as the grammar and some of the story are so bad it's practically unreadable in parts. The writing is confused with its past and present tense being constantly mixed up. If the book was proof read then it needs a different editor!
This story is about James and Robin and their adventures in Tabiq. I don’t want to give away anything because author doesn’t give you much information in her blurb. It’s definitely worth reading. You see other Henderson family members in the story and flows very nicely. Looking forward to Book 12
While the story moved the series along I have serious problems with the number of grammatical errors & bad sentence structure. I have noticed errors in every book, however this book has even more than normal. My suggestion is to hire a decent proofreader or find better beta readers. I'm available!
Robin needed a vacation away from the courtroom and criminals. When her travel agent sent her New Hope Resort in Tabiq. She didn't think it would be this relaxing... Until she met one sexy ex Marine.. Will she find love or will she go back to Miami. Must-read series. Enjoying it
That was a great read. Fantastic storyline and characters. Slowly but surely Tabiq is recovering nicely. Bit by bit their bringing more resources to the country. Could use some more editing, lots of dashes that don't belong.
This was another great love story from Mrs winters. I only gave it 4 stars because there was a lot of grammatical errors that took away from the reading experience. Maybe an editing update is needed but otherwise I loved James and Robins story.
What a wonderful story! Could have not ended better! I fell in love with both James and Robin but a huge surprise to me was Cindy! What a sweetheart! 5 STARS
