This book continues the adventures of Detective Gina Wilcox, who is also Assistant Director for the Agency of Justice. She gets reunited with another of her former Marine buddies, Jamie Jamieson, who is now a private detective. Jamieson is hired to find a woman's missing husband. Through a series of events he teams up with his former Marine Sergeant (Wilcox.) They work together to find the husband and determine how his disappearance fits in with the case that she has been investigating. The story does involve a time travel element, but it is carefully constructed and advances the story without getting in to ridiculous territory. Their world also provides some amusing reflections of our own. My favorite line; "The editorials neatly aligned with his own personal beliefs, and he felt little need to hear the other side's position on any given argument." That does seem to neatly summarize all the loudest voices in today's social media. Not really a spoiler, but the ending does leave me ready for the next installment which hopefully will be available before long.

Storm Warning is the second book in the Agents of the Planetary Republic series. In this book, a man has gone missing. He seems to have very valuable information so he has to be caught. The story centers around Boggs, together with Collier, Private Investigator Jamieson, Doctor Hsu and of course Gina Wilcox. I really enjoyed this second book. The story is fast-paced and the characters are well developed. I liked that some chapters are written from the bad guys point of view. In this book, there is time travel and the way it is explained is very good! It's very complicated but it makes so much sense! I loved it. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and I would definitely recommend this book.

Our heroine has her hands full with her new job, but fortunately that is exactly the way she likes it.

This is book two of the series, but it does well as a standalone. All the essential bits are explained early on.

This is a SF action story. The story is well written, easy to read with a fast paced action plot that grabbed me at the start and didn't let go. The setting is well developed with lots of nuances to it that provide a little surprise around every corner. The characters are also excellent, particularly our heroine. I like strong female leads and our heroine definitely counts. Just like in the first book, there are lots of twists and turns that kept me turning pages to see what was coming next. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to more in the series.

Highly rcommended

Gina Wilcox is back and on the hunt for answers again. I loved the action and pace as Gina and her team hunt down information that will find a missing person and figure out what is really going on. The twist of time travel adds that odd something to the story that makes it stand out from a simple detective story. It kept me reading to see how it would end and how the pieces would all fit together. Just a good series in this world that is trying to recover from war. Made me laugh and groan in a good way.

A mind-bending installment in this space detective series

This is a series about X military people joining a police force on a planet beset by political maneuvering and violence. This particular part of the series deals with time travel, which generally makes my head hurt because it’s so complicated. But, they make it kind of fun and interesting in this story. I will definitely read the next book in the series.

Interesting

Book two in this series whilst being an entertaining read with plausible characters and a storyline that follows on from the first book seamlessly, for some reason didn't work for me I think because I found the writing style a bit pedestrian. Don't get me wrong it is well-written and there aren't any glaring plot holes it's just that I found the whole thing a little stilted. It will be interesting to see if book three is any better, I certainly hope so as I quite like the story, Baz.

A police operation that covers multiple assassin nation attempts, and time travel.

The war is supposed to be over, The Republic having won it, but there are covert operatives out to kill the head of the Republic. Their only hope of stopping it is one ex-marine now working for Justice.
