Growing up in Ontario, Canada, MJ was the only child of a single mom. MJ’s passion for the arts ignited at a young age as she wrote adventure stories and read them aloud to close family and friends. The dramatic arts became a focus in high school as an aid to understanding character motivation in her writing. Majoring in Theatre Production at University, with a minor in English, she went on to teach both elementary and high school for 10 years throughout Simcoe County.

MJ currently lives with her husband and son in Ontario, Canada. She keeps busy these days writing, helping Indie Authors, and talking about books as a local librarian. She firmly believes that if she hadn’t been born a Virgo, she would not be half as organized as necessary to accomplish everything in her daily agenda.

Everything you need for great steampunk: intriguing gadgets, cool costumes, smart and bad-ass women, action-packed mystery and a little slow-burn romance. I love going back into the world of the Shadow Phoenix to catch up with old friends and see Louisa fulfill her true potential. Loved these books! Highly recommend!

After reading Episodes 1-4, I immediately downloaded this volume so I could finish the story. MJ Moores does an excellent job of keeping the story on track and moving forward at a lively pace, with loads of conflict and just enough romance. I was keen to keep reading whenever I opened my Kindle.

The main plotline is wrapped up in this second volume, though I am sure this is not the last we will see of Louisa, Shadow Phoenix, or the greedy Judge. Louisa's buried background surfaces some in these episodes, but not enough to conclude that side plot, so there is plenty more of that tale to tell. London's guardians' identities may or may not be compromised, the drought may be averted, and Bennett may be accepted to the Society of Engineers, we aren't sure but we want to be!

MJ Moores's London is exciting and ready to reveal more secrets. I will be waiting for the Steamy to appear with the new volume as soon as possible!
