Sometimes death isn’t the ending. Sometimes it’s the beginning.
Lilah Phillips is surprised when she arrives unceremoniously in Kealani. She’s even more surprised when she is met by the Celestial King himself, who begins to tell long-held secrets.
She’s stunned to learn she’s the owner of the ultra-rare Soul element, and Lilah is shaken to discover she’s attached to another soul.
That soul just happens to be Eliana, the firstborn daughter and previous scion Kealani.
Lilah knows she needs to master this new element—and the soul living inside of her—if she wants to survive and seal the breaches in order to save both worlds.
Will she be able to succeed? Or will she be consumed by both?
What a fabulous second book! I really loved the developments in the story and with Lilah. We get to see the other side and understand more of the celestials and the history of the world. It's a magical adventure with revelations, a bit of romance and lots of twists and turns. I absolutely devoured this book and I'm loving the journey Lilah is on! The plot is beautiful, the dialogue genius and the characters are wonderfully detailed! I can't wait for the next book.
I don’t know what I was expecting, just more. I felt that nothing really happened or was resolved. At least nothing that deserves an entire book. There was no smaller plot to make this book worthwhile. I would have rather scanned a recap and skipped this for hopefully a more exciting third book.
Not worth starting. While the books are actually quite good, the author never finished the series and book 3 ends on a cliff hanger. Since there were only a few months between the first 3 and book 3 came out a year ago, it doesn’t seem likely that book 4 is coming.
Perfect continuation of this amazing story. The twists you never see coming will have you biting your nails and hanging on the edge of your seat. Looking forward to the third book! Well done!
Alright, I love everything about this book. I'm heavily invested in a certain pair of Lumieres (please please survive book three). Can't wait for book three.
