Micah:
I'm an uncomplicated kind of guy. I like my one-night-stands the same way I like my food: fast, easy, and painless. The sweet redhead I met from the hook-up app was supposed to be exactly that. A night of letting loose before arriving in Ireland for my best friend's wedding.

That sexy redhead? Not a stranger. Not even close.

Try my best friend's little brother.

Charlie:
I have a week to convince Micah, my brother's moody BFF, that he'd be an idiot to toss me aside. The ten-year age gap doesn't concern me. Neither does Micah's workaholic tendencies. It's my brother I have to worry about. He'd kill me if he discovered I was fooling around with Micah behind his back. He'd for sure cut Micah out of his life, too.

Trouble is, I'm falling for his friend. And with the chemistry this hot? It's only time before everything goes up in flames.

Red Hot is the first book in the Off Limits series and contains a HEA. It can be read as a standalone.

2.5 stars.

I liked both Charlie (going to call him Red from now on in this review), and Micah. Both men had their fair share of personal problems and obstacles to get over to reach their happy ever after and I was totally there for it.
I love a good best friends brother story. However, and it's a big however in this book it went on a little too long. Red and Micah had to keep their building relationship a secret because of Red's over protective brother. And when I say over protecting I mean generally unlikable and extremely annoying brother. Seriously. I wanted to strangle him. When Red finally confronted him, I was so satisfied but then forgiveness came way too quickly from both Red and Micah.

I love that this book is representing Crohns disease. A disease I'm very familiar with since I have it myself. Red's feelings are all very well described and I could relate to them so very well. However, if I was eating like Red is eating in this book I would be so very sick. So that's a bit of a downer.

OUTSTANDING READ!!! 10/10 I WISH I COULD GIVE IT MORE STARS
Charlie is emotional after being dumped by his boyfriend but thankfully he has his best friend James to talk things through. Charlie suffers from Crohn’s and this is very hard for his ex to except when he needed help. James makes him see that he man was no good for him and get him to use a app to hook up for one night with someone he doesn't know. At first Charlie doesn't agree but James is very persuasive and soon Charlie finds himself at a Motel waiting for a man to arrive. He has never done this before and is having second thoughts.
Micah is at his best friends stag night and he just cant get in the mood. He is nursing his first drink whilst everyone around him is having a blast. He is what most people call a player, hooking up and then moving on. He is also a workaholic so it works well for him. He checks an app to see if there are anyone out there looking for fun that night and bingo he has one. User name Red hot and he is one cute redhead. And he wants "I’m looking for dirty talk, rough hands, dark eyes, and a devastating smile." Micah finally smiles and plans to hook up. But when he gets to the motel Red doesn't reply. But Micah isn't giving up on having him that night so goes knocking on doors till he finds his man.
Charlie Aka Red isn't sure but he sure finds Micah hot but can he just have one night with him or will he get feelings for his man.
The next morning Charlie has to be at the airport for his brothers wedding as its taking place in Ireland and Charlie isn't looking forward to the flight and prays his Crohn’s behaves.
Micah wakes alone in the room but doesn't have time to think about Red he must get to the airport
Yep these two men haven't met before but they have one person in common. Charlies Brother Owen and Micah's best friend and business partner. Owen is over protective of Charlie and if he ever finds out that they spent the night together it wouldn't end well!!! But Charlie has other ideas.
There are so many heart breaking moments in this story but there is so much love also, I went through every emotion and my heart did break for Charlie (well I prefer to call him Red) I'm so glad that Red has James in his corner. If only people would of left these two to get on with their relationship this would of been one amazing perfect love story but there is just so much pain and anguish. Micah doesn't understand what is happening to him, He has never had feelings for anyone else but why did it have to be Owens baby brother. It couldn't happen but he wanted Red with every part of him. And Red was making it so difficult for him to say no but he knew Red wanted more than he could give him or maybe he could risk everything for him???
I was totally blown away by this book, I just couldn't put it down and read it through the night (I didnt even care that I had work in a few hours) because Micah and Red's story was so addictive and powerful. Their connection was so strong, Their chemistry was electric and I fell in love with both of them. They had so much to over come but it only makes them stronger. This is an outstanding read and I am super excited to see what M.A. Gray has in store for us next.

Charlie is dumped, again. It's not for lack of chemistry or attraction - but his past boyfriends have felt he was a burden and hinderence due to his Chron's disease. His most recent relationship had been just at the one year mark when his boyfriend dumped him via text. Charlie is upset and just about to give up on ever finding someone who could love all of him. His friend suggests he have a hot hook-up to get back out there and to take charge of what he wants. Charlie's not the hook-up kind of guy but he decides to give it a shot.

Micah is been overworked and stressed out. He's only in town for another day before he hops on a plane to Ireland for his best friend's wedding. He decides the best way to blow off some steam if to find a hook up. He's not really sure what he's looking for - but the cute red-haired twink wasn't really want he had in mind. But for whatever reason the man pushes all his buttons.

This leads to an explosive encounter with Charlie yearning for a deeper connection but knowing he cannot find it with a hook-up. Begrudginly Charlie leaves during the early morning to go to the airport to travel to Ireland for his brother's wedding. Upon arrival on the big day Charlie is introduced to his brother's best friend and comes face to face with the older man he was in his bed only hours before - Micah. Things just got a whole lot of complicated!

I know they say don't judge a book by its cover but I totally did. The guy on the cover is supposed to represent our red-haired Charlie but to me Charlie is more soft edges and cute face with soulful eyes. The man on the cover has a more bad boy trying to be sexy vibe going on; he always kinda looked more mean or I guess had hard edges rather then soft. So, honeslty I was really torn because I was not vibing with this cover. HOWEVER, this book was FABULOUS! By far one of my best 2020 reads this year. I absolutely adored Charlie and the reader could identify with his vulnerabilities and fears. It was so real and I just wanted to squeeze him in a hug. Micah also was larger than life on the pages - it was interesting to learn about his backstory and see this put-together man fall apart and break down his walls the more he let Charlie in. I just loved these two together and I only wish there was more stories with them because they were so cute! I also just want to do a shout-out to the author for how Chron's disease was depicted. I think it was done very well in that the reader sympathsizes with Charlie but not to the extent that this is a disability and that's he's fragile. But that he is more suspectible because he has this disease. It was tender and emotional and I got to see really how the disease played a role in his life and more importantly how even with the disease Charlie never let it define who he was. I think that was one my biggest takeaways from this book. Charlie could do anything!

I highly recommend reading this book! It was so good.

Charlie and Micah were so hot together.

I really love the brothers best friend trope especially when it's as well written as this book. It can be kind of repetitive but this book was everything I could have asked from this trope. I really enjoyed how it started off as a one night stand to reclaim what Charlie thought he lost in his previous relationship and James for giving him the motivation to get back out there and stick it to his ex.

The way Micah just came in all commanding and sexy made me SWOON I couldnt get enough of this man and then the reaction to finding out that Red was in fact not a stranger but his besties brother was just icing on the bookish cake.

Charlie was so strong during this whole adventure especially with his Crohn's making things difficult for his past and present relationships. He thinks he is not worth someone sticking around because everyone leaves once it is no longer convenient for them to be with him but Micah stays, Until he doesnt.

My heart broke for the struggles this couple went through and am overjoyed they got their happily ever after in the end.

This author did a spectacular job with this book.

This book was probably one of the best m/m love stories I’ve read all year. I’ve won’t ever read one other book from this author before I read this book. So when I saw the new release I was excited. And I have to tell you this book will not disappoint.

Micah and Charlie have this dynamic between them it’s addictive to read. I’m not gonna put any spoilers in this review but I will say their journey is epic. Charlie suffers from a chronic illness, that makes it hard for him to find a lasting relationship. And Micah is so closed off from any real relationships that you feel like at times they will never get their happy ending. But of course they do and it’s a amazing ending to this love story. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future

The story was good and I enjoyed the plot and dialogue, but as someone with Crohn's disease - I wish the author had done a bit more research or had gotten a sensitivity reader (or more if they did get some) as I had more than a few issues with that element of the story. Don't get me wrong - there were some elements they got spot on, but some others were way off, and not just speaking from my own experience but from my knowledge of the wider community that I'm a part of (ie: most of us can't eat salad and certainly wouldn't on an off day; we don't tend to go for hikes and horse rides as we can't generally be that far from amenities for extended periods and certainly not during stressful events).
But aside from that - the characters, storyline and dialogue were enjoyable and felt engaged throughout the book.

This is a new to me author and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be reading more from this author. I love this book, it's beautifully written, true to life, and tugs on the heart strings. Owen just wants to protect his little brother, Charlie. But Charlie just wants to live his life and that just so happens to include Owen's friend and business partner Micah. I love Charlie and Micah together. They really are so good for each other. There's so much growth in these characters. I definitely recommend this book.

Red Hot kaboom...

Charlie definitely couldn't believe what he'd just read wow how crass could someone be he didn't even have the guts to tell him to his face.
So okay he knew sometimes people just didn't want to tackle the mountain of issues he carried around with him.
However when a night with a mysterious young man might just be the start of something wonderful if they can put their past behind them and deal with a few obstacles in their way maybe just maybe fate will be on their side in the end.

Patchs for holes

Characters has issue. And they need each other to patch them. After a one night stand, charlie and micah met at charlie brother, owen, wedding. Owen warn his bestfriend Micah to stay away from his brother. Little did he know it was too late for the advice. Is eternal bachelor Micah will let himselve love and happiness? Will Charlie could stand up for himselve and just take what he want?
Great story. I remove 2 stars, personally I didn't fell in love with the book and characters. I found some things who was too long, as if the author take the long way just for prove one point. But in all, it was alright.

Red Hot was pulling and a well written romance by M.A. Gray. I had fun fallowing Charlie on his path of having his first one-night stand with Micah the mystery man. Their path of becoming lovers and at the end happy couple was emotional and complicated, but worth my time. As I said it was fun reading this book.

I liked the forbidden romance trope. It had plenty of angst and plenty of steamy scenes. I really enjoyed my first book of MA Gray's. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is a new author to me but will definitely be reading more. This story is about falling for your brother's best friend and it was so so good. It had lots of steam, sweetness and being afraid of being being vulnerable and hurt but also living with a chronic disease. I couldn't put it down 💜

Not going to rate because I didn’t get much past the first attempt at seduction. It started off promising, but I’m not a fan of seduction by way of whipping your dick out.
