Sorceress of psychological suspense, Ninie Hammon, brings you the fourth book in The Knowing Saga, a sprawling tale of spiritual warfare that spans a quarter of a century. If you crave sleep-with-the-lights-on suspense coupled with characters so true they’ll feel like family, The Fault will open a world you won’t want to believe is real.

The happiest day of their lives turns into their worst nightmare...

After defeating the prince of demons -- a massive 50-foot tall efreet who they banished back to the depths of hell -- Jack and Becca are getting married.

But as their friends and family gather in Caverna County to celebrate, their dream of an idyllic wedding in the woods is overrun by darkness. It’s cold, in July. The rainbow's stripes are colored all wrong. Plants and animals... change. It's almost as if the laws of nature no longer apply.

They thought they banished the hellish forces for good, but the ancient evil has found a way back.

Can Becca, Jack, and their rag-tag gang of all-too-human friends fight back against the demonic forces threatening to destroy their town, and after that, the world?

I was born in Socorro, New Mexico, sometime shortly after the earth cooled off. It’s clear that from the outset my parents never intended for me to amount to anything. How could I? With a name like “Ninie?” Please.

Fame and fortune do not come to people named Ninie Bovell (My maiden name.) Gabriella Bovary? You could work with that. Even something as pedestrian as Madeline Bovell or Rebecca Bovell or (though you’d lose points here for lack of originality) Elizabeth Bovell. But Ninie? I never had a chance.

If I sound a mite hostile, bear in mind that in one decisive stroke my parents sentenced their precious newborn daughter to a lifetime of explanations that began my first day at Muleshoe Elementary School. (Yeah, Muleshoe. The hits just keep on coming.) After a painful week, I had a rap down that I still use today:

“No, it’s not Ninnie like skinny and penny. It’s Ninie—rhymes with tiny and shiny. 9e…get it? And no, it doesn’t mean anything, it isn’t short for anything, long for anything, or a substitute for anything. It just is. (Pause here for the inevitable ‘Why?’) You got me, pal, I couldn’t tell you.”

I grew up in Texas, got a BA in English and theatre from Texas Tech University and snagged a job as a newspaper reporter. Didn't know a thing about journalism, but my editor said if I could write he could teach me the rest of it and if I couldn't write the rest of it didn't matter. I hung in there for a 25-year career as a journalist. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world, but as soon as I figured out that making up the facts was a whole lot more fun than reporting them, I never looked back.

Now, I write suspense--every flavor except pistachio: psychological suspense, inspirational suspense, suspense thrillers, paranormal suspense, suspense mysteries.

In every book I write I try to keep this promise to Loyal Reader: I will tell you a story in a distinctive voice you'll always recognize, about people as ordinary as you are--people who have been slammed by something they didn’t sign on for, and now they must fight for their lives. Then smack in the middle of their everyday worlds, those people encounter the unexplainable--and it's always the game-changer."

There are some authors that tell an entertaining story, and then there are others who blow you away. Ninie Hammon knows how to pull you into a world where each sentence draws you closer to the edge of your seat. Her writing is comparable to another of my favorite authors – Stephen King. As I do with his books, I feel the need to read every one she has ever written because I know I will fall in love with them.
I truly enjoy reading an author who knows how to write a good sentence using just the right amount of description, authentic dialogue, the perfect choice of words and phrases to tease your senses, and the ability to paint word pictures so you feel as though you are in the scene, looking through the eyes of the character. I will often ruminate on a phrase, wondering at its brilliance.
The Fault is the fourth book in a series that deals with the battle between good and evil. It carries many of the original characters from the first books into its pages so that they can continue the fight.
You could read The Fault as a standalone story, but I highly encourage you to start with the first book in the saga, The Knowing. Then be prepared for a reading marathon as you make your way through these incredible books. They will not disappoint, and you will meet a group of characters who become your best friends.

The Fault is book four in The Knowing Saga. Originally The Knowing was created to be a trilogy and it was spellbinding, seeming quite complete. Then this year I found out there was a fourth book. I think of this book as the one you didn't know how much you needed until you had it. Now I cannot imagine the saga without it. Ninie Hammon has, once again, created a masterpiece of a thriller. She has brought back the characters we love from the first three books and again opened up their lives to the reader. I have read nearly every book this brilliant author has created and each one has been breathtaking. I feel as if I dive right into the pages and watch the story unfold. I highly recommend this book, this saga and every single book this author has given to her readers.

It started as a trilogy, "The Knowing" series - hugely entertaining reading!
The characters created by the author for the trilogy, took over on their own, and demanded from her, that their story continue, so we now have a "four-book trilogy".
"The Fault" continues along similar lines to its predecessors, but can definitely not be described as "more of the same" as can sometimes happen in multi-book series's.
It is every bit as gripping and suspenseful as the other books, fuelled by originality of ideas, and carefully structured events which allow the characters to grow and develop in the mind of the reader. I cannot recommend this highly enough!!

Wedding day Hell

The veil is torn, demons are loose. Caverna County, Kentucky is the setting for a fairy tale wedding but there is a darkness he'll bent on spoiling theday. This fourth book in the Knowing series is as astounding as the last three.

No spoilers here. Just praise for Ninie Hammon and her genius with characters, scenes and creatures of hell.

This book, The Fault, was a wonderful surprise from Ninie Hammon. The series, The Knowing Saga was originally only a trilogy and now, over 3 years later, we've got a wonderful 4th book. Be sure to read the earlier books in this series first. It's one of those "one more chapter and then I'll go to sleep" books...then one more chapter...
