The other books I’ve read from this series have been pure smut and Complicated fits right in. Sometimes you’re in the mood for that 🤷‍♀️. The premise is college aged kids working at a resort over the summer. The h is a lifeguard filling in for her brother and his two best friends are also life guarding. She’s had a crush on them since middle school and they feel the same, but have never wanted to cross that line, except now the lines get erased. This is MFM so no contact between the guys. Written in first person, triple POV. No ow drama, small om drama from a guest interested in h. Hs are not virgins (I did like that they didn’t have a history of hooking up with others at the resort and no other history given) and h is a virgin (but dives right into all the acts with the guys).

Even knowing this would basically be all sexy times, this was a miss for me and unrealistic. It also starts to feel repetitive. Then the story takes a weird turn with a suspense element and a quick resolution to the conflict. Epilogue with HFN ending of the 3 of them together at college. I think these made for good pandemic escape reads and maybe now I want something else from my smutness.

Ainsley is filling in at the last minute as a lifeguard for her brother as he takes an internship for the summer. Little did she know who she would be spending the summer working with. Since she was younger both of her crushes have been her brothers best friends. She always assumed that they looked at her as a little sister. Ainsley did not know how she would make it thru the summer working with them at the resort. Noel and Silas have both been attracted to Ainsley for years. They have hidden their feelings out of respect for her brother and her age. But her brother failed to tell them that she was coming in his place and her appearance was quite a shock. She has grown up into a beautiful young woman and they want her like never before. What will they do when her brother shows up unannounced right after they all three have let down their guards? I really enjoyed this book. Lola gave us great characters to read about and the storyline was well written. The only drawback was that I wished it was longer. I look forward to her next book in the series

This was the first book I’ve read by this author so I didn’t really know what to expect but I was definitely not disappointed ! I thought it was very well written. Silas, Noel, and Ainsley are very hot together! Liked how they came together after so long fighting it. The action with Preston was quite a surprise and very enjoyable! Will definitely be reading more from this author!

I LOVE the Cove Series. Complicated is the hottest, steamiest one yet with Ainsley sandwiched between Silas and Noel! The chemistry between the three of them is smoking hot and will definitely get your heart racing with their antics. Add in a protective older brother and other complications, and you will not be able to put this book down!

This story is well written and carries a lot of heavy feelings. The main characters, while adults are very young. The interaction between them are pretty intense. I like Silas with his little insecurities. I like Norl with his smirk and his arrogance. Ainsley is sweet and lovable while she is also loving. Parker is heavy handed the bad guy is sneaky.

Young love, complicated

🎶Ainsleigh + Noel + Silas, sitting in a tree... 🎶 They fell fast and hard, even in the face on impending disapproval, but they just couldn’t help themselves. This story makes you long for the days when you were young, carefree and foolish, and makes you smile when the day is saved, and they all live happily ever after.

Fantastic book about lifelong friends becoming closer and watching out for each other. Loved the characters and storyline. Camp location was a nice change and brought it all together. Can not wait to read more from this author.

A fun steamy summer romance. The storyline was entertaining and I love the chemistry between the characters. When Ainsley sees her two brother best friend's she immediately attracted towards them. She knows it forbidden but she can't help herself. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Complicated was a good story, the plot was written well. Silas, Ainsley and Noel were good together. I enjoyed their journey. The connection they shared was strong, their chemistry was steamy, they were made for each other.

An amazing story. The chemistry between these characters is off the charts. The story is easy to follow. They all fit well together. This is a new author for me and I will be looking out for more to read from this author and series.
