Twenty-four-year-old Claire Hanes had never experienced love before and doubted she ever would.
Estranged from her parents and her older brother, Claire lived a lonely life. She dug herself into her work as a dental x-ray technician. With her independence, she could handle anything life threw in her direction.
However, things took a surprising turn when she found herself helpless and broke. With no one and nowhere to turn. That was until a special someone walked into her life.
Travis Kent came at an unexpected time in her life; it became complicated. A relationship had formed. Claire feared it would end as quickly as it started.
Before the subject of love even came up, he asked her for the one thing she knew she could never give him.
It was a brutal reality, one that left Travis devastated.
Will their love conquer all? Or was this the one thing that would tear them apart?
This is the first book in the Sabela series that I have read, but it doesn't necessarily need to be read in order. Tina Hogan Grant made me laugh, cry happy, and gave me goosebumps. I honestly wasn't sure I was going to like Travis, the lead male, but as I read on he changed my mind. Claire is an independent woman with insecurities, but Travis helped her to get past those and helped her with some issues from her past, and really opened her up. Great job, as usual, Tina.
Omg Tina did it again! I couldn’t put it down! I laughed and cried and it left me wanting more! This series has been one of my favorites! Can’t wait to read more!
Claire was a book that I thought I wouldn't be able to follow because I hadn't finished all the rest. But to my surprise I was able to read and follow it. Tina is an awesome writer and she had me right from the beginning. The character where a perfect match for one another. The order things went together fell in place. I felt like I was in Claire book following as I read it . Claire had a life that was just her and her dog. She was content with that she worked in a Dentist office as a X-ray Tech. and she didn't mind she had her own office and she stayed to herself. Things had changed for her. She went out one day to find she was having car problems. Travis was the boyfriend of Jill that worked with Claire and was not getting along with each other. But Claire didn't know this. He worked as a construction worker for Slater. Well things changed for Travis one day Claire was sitting in the parking lot with a broken down car and not knowing what to do with it. She was crying and crying because everything was just going wrong in her life. Her brother sent to prison and her disowning her parents so she was all alone. Not know what to do about any of this then Travis knocked on her window. He heard her crying and asked what was wrong she told her it was her car. Travis helped her get her car fixed. Then things had changed for her and she hoped it would go for the best and she would have a better life. This is one of the The Sabela Series books that I went into blind and it was emotional I cried in some spots and I got mad in some spots. But I recommend this book if you like this type of reading one that you can't put the book down and the romance was great descriptive.
What an awesome book! The story of Claire describes how she felt disowned by her family, had a bad childhood, felt she wasn't good enough, not pretty enough yet her brother Davin could do no wrong and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Much to the family's dismay, Davin was in jail for rape. Her parents were in denial and believed he was innocent. Claire just did not want to be part of her family anymore. Will Claire ever reunite with her parents. She learned to be an independent woman and worked as a dental xray technician.
When she was down on her luck, Travis came along and helped her out. They had an instant attraction but he was dating someone else. He said that relationship was long over and just needed to move on. They both had secrets from their past. Would the revelation of these make them go their separate ways. Could a new opportunity come to Travis that he had thought about his whole life.
You will have to read this wonderful story for your answers. I highly recommend this book.
What a great read! So beautiful and well written. Claire is a single woman and Travis has a girlfriend whom he is on the outs with. Once Travis breaks up with his girlfriend who happens to be Jill, she works with Claire, their relationship takes off. It takes them some time to come clean with Jill that they are dating because of how awkward it would be at work but eventually they do. Wait to you hear her reaction. Both Travis and Claire have secrets that they are hiding. Will they share them with each other? What happens when Claire’s parents show up one day also? Claire hasn’t spoken to them in a while after what her brother Davin did. Travis and Claire definitely share a bond and lean on each other thru everything. I was so shocked to hear of Travis’s secret and really knew where he was coming from with my own personal experience. It definitely brought a tear to my eye. Hearing about Claire’s secret made me feel really bad for her. She’s strong though and I knew that Travis would love her no matter what.

How do you start a sweet romance with a co-workers boyfriend? That’s the question posed by Tina Hogan Grant’s main character in her new book “Claire”.
Claire finds herself in the loving embrace of a good hearted man. But so many entanglements are in the way of their becoming a couple, number one his girlfriend! The answer to how to proceed with a relationship and not alienate co-workers and friends is the tangled web to unravel for Claire and her heart!
I found myself drawn into this book by the charming story and thinking how this novel has become my favorite book (this being number 3) in the Sabela series! I was enchanted by Claire and her chipper attitude that was indomitable through out the story! I adore the way Grant takes characters introduced in the first book and weaves a new story around them.
For all romance readers who are looking for a sweet new tale, run to get yourself a copy of this enchanting book, the ending will leave you breathless!
Another five star book in the continuing Sabela Series. The problem with this book was I didnt want it to end but I needed to know the ending. As with all her books, Grant gives us a warm story of love, romance, a bit of mystery and lots of drama.
Claire is a loner and finds that ok. Estranged from her family when her parents take the side of her brother, who has his own baggage, she manages just fine. But of course the story introduces Travis who changes her world. Throw in an ex-girlfriend, some friends with secrets, and her own huge secret, Claire has a lot to deal with.
This book is a page turner. My only regret is that it ended......but I am sure Ms Grant has more in store for us. Put this one on your TBR list, or better yet pre-order today because it is coming out soon. Thanks to the author for this ARC, it was everything I imagined it to be. Bravo #fivestars #Claire #TinaHoganGrant
I have become a huge fan of Tina Hogan Grant and have read all of her books. She really knows how to tell a story and capture the readers attention. Claire is a wonderful book third in the Sabela series which was hard to put down. It can be read as a stand-alone but I will recommend reading the first two books just because they are so good. I love how Tina’s books are based on strong women oriented characters. Claire is a dental technician who lives a simple life with just her dog. She seems to have low self esteem but totally gets blown away when a guy called Travis comes into her life becoming strong and self assured. I love the story as it is about hope, second chances and finding love. I will highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a an enjoyable read. Thanks Tina Hogan for your ARC in return for my honest review. Looking forward to reading more books by you.
Tina Hogan Grant is such a gifted writer, I love her no fuss writting approach I love that I can fill in the settings or the colors or the decor of a room myself , I LOVE how she writes her chapters I really loved going back and forth from Claire/ to / Travi's Point of views in every other chapter I really found that a really amazing way to connect even more with the characters. I really enjoyed this read and Am looking forward to reading more of her works as this was my first read of her's and i enjoy that even though this is a series book #3 , it can also be read a stand-alones , but I will definely be reading #1 and #2 . I am honored to of been given the opportunity to procure and advanced read!
I really enjoyed Claire and Travis's story. I like the realistic writing , as a reader I feel I can relate to these characters. I have read Slater and Eve and like that what I call (secondary characters) were able to get a story of their own to tell. Claire is a breath of fresh air compared to the many characters I have read from other books lately, she's real , down to earth , strong willed and knows what she what's out of life. I also like that the author pulls from the first two books in this series some of the plot lines so the reader has a glimpse into what is happening in their lives . I would love to see more books written in this series so I can see where these two end up in the future.
This book is third in a series, but I read as a stand alone title. I do not feel like I missed anything reading Claire as a stand alone, except the sheer enjoyment of reading the other books in the series. The story about Claire’s brother is what drew me into the story. How could Claire and her parents relationship with her brother be so different? The family dynamics are strained. This caused Claire to be living life alone and she was okay with that. And then car trouble and Travis showed up. It caused Claire to question her need for a relationship. And Travis opened her to question the importance of family. An overall great read that will have you laughing, crying, and cheering Claire on!
When picking up a book from Author Tina Hogan Grant I know that I am in for a ride full of emotion, drama, realistic characters and a story I never want to end. I found all of this to be true for her new book Claire! Claire had a life of independence until one day her car broke down. Travis arrived to help the crying and stranded women. What happens next they least expected!
I would highly recommend this wonderful book.
Claire is the third book to the Sabela Series, however it can be read as a stand alone and be just as amazing!
Once I started reading this book I could not put it down until it was finished. Tina Hogan Grant did an excellent job of making the characters come alive and makes you want to know what happens next with Claire and Travis. This book took me on their journey through the highs, the lows of their steamy romance. It made me laugh and cry along the way. Best part the book leaves you on a happy note which means love does conquer all.
I loved this book! In the 3rd installment of the Sabina series you get to meet Travis and Claire upclose. Claire and Travis have a great love story to share! Both have had tragedies in their lives but they didn't let it break them. They gew stronger from them. They grew together because if them! A definite must read. I didn't want their story to end. Tina Hogan-Grant you did it again with another great book!
Sometimes relationships happen when you least expect them. This is so true between Claire and Travis. Then throw in some secrets from the past and see if they can survive and out run the storms that continue to haunt them. Will it work out for them? Or will Travis stay with Jill just to keep the peace? This suspenseful romance will have you on the edge of your seat right up to the last page. 5 stars
I Hate Rollercoaster rides but I LoveD the rollercoaster page turning ARC of "Claire" provided to me by Author Tina Hogan Grant. Even if you don't follow the series, you can read and enjoy Claires' emotional trail of bumps to maybe have that never before thought of happiness. Don't be afraid to turn that page!
Claire is a very lonely woman. She doesn’t have friends, she loves alone, all her outings are alone. She doesn’t socialize with coworkers. And then she meets Travis, the only man she’s ever felt a connection to. The only problem, Travis is a coworkers ex-boyfriend. Very good book.
It’s a really good book I’m going to start the next book tomorrow tina your books are really good. I’m so glad I started reading book 1,2,3 and start book 4 tomorrow because I read book 5 before I read these books know I wish I would have last year but at least I finally got to it.
Great story about family, friendship and forgiveness
Claire starts out feeling like the ugly b duckling and feeling she has never had the love & support of HR family. When she starts dating a new man, everything falls into place. Her parents come back into her life, and her future takes a surprising but wonderful turn.
Tina’s done it again with creating an amazing book with lots of romance, drama, tears and sexiness! Lots of twists and turns happened which I didn’t expect but loved! I can’t get enough of this series and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!
I liked this book very much. It was a very enjoyable read. The story line was quite good, while broaching a couple of difficult subjects. A few racy scenes are included, but were not overwhelming. I do recommend this book.
At first, I missed reading more about Slater and Sabela. However, I really got into Claire and Travis' story. I love the connection that they have. I really like how Tina brought in Slater and Sabela into the story as well. Can't wait to read Jill.
Claire is the 3rd book of the Sabela series. If you like quirky characters you'll appreciate her attitude. She's a tough cookie, but don't let that fool you.
I am really enjoying the series. Can definitely be read as a stand alone but like the Thread that ties them. Looking for to seeing How Travis and Claire make out in their new adventure!
