I liked The Nerd. It's a realistic story about a young man's journey from high school through college and finally settling down. I found the events that Clark went through to be believable and realistic. *Possible spoilers* We get to see Clark's first crush that turns into his first love, the heartache when they breakup, the loneliness when he goes away to college and doesn't fit in with anybody until he finally finds that one special person to be his friend and confidant. Then we see his relationship from Hell with the abusive guy that everyone told him to dump, but he stays with because he loves him. Years later, he leaves him and moves back to his home town and lives with his parents again. And he ends up running into his first crush again and getting a second chance at love. The book is told through Clark's POV. The book is sex scene heavy, and the scenes when he is with his abusive boyfriend were hard to stomach. The scenes with the abusive boyfriend were non-con, dub-con, and rape. I was so happy when he finally left him. *End of spoilers* If you are looking for a book that follows a young man on his journey through growing up and becoming an adult and as he works through the pitfalls of dating and finding the perfect man, then this book is for you, and I recommend reading it. Clark does get his happily ever after ending with the perfect guy for him.

Second Chance Romance that followed the main character Clark's life and love throughout high school, college and after. We get to see all his heartbreak and ups and downs that lead him back to his first love. I got more then I expected when I picked it up, but it was a decent read.
